What You’ll Do as Part of our Team:
- Manage and monitor incoming emails in the invoices mailbox
- Oversee financial processes, communicate outcomes to stakeholders, and guide others in navigating policies, resources, and systems

This pivotal role will address a significant gap in the protection and welfare of animals used in entertainment and media. Tens of thousands of animals are featured in films, television shows, advertisements, often facing substandard treatment and welfare conditions. Despite public concern, current legal and industry safeguards remain inadequate.
The creation of this new role within the RSPCA, is not only vital for addressing current deficiencies in animal welfare within the entertainment industry but also reinforces the RSPCA's commitment to leading positive change.

What a day might look like for you:
As our Senior Scientific and Policy Officer - Animals in Entertainment & the Media, you will develop and implement a strategic plan to raise industry standards, improve legal protection, and shift public attitudes to improve the welfare of animals used in these industries.
The role is situated in the RSPCA's Wildlife Department but the scope of the work includes all animals, including companion animals, so you will work collaboratively across several departments.

- Generate and maintain RSPCA policies, strategic aims, goals and objectives relating to animals in entertainment and the media.

In this role you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, solely managing the financial controls for this small charity with a £350k annual turnover. You will support the Director and senior management team through your management of financial processes, policy and planning.

We are working in partnership with a care provider, who enable Carers to benefit from respite breaks with the peace of mind from knowing that loved ones are in the safe, reliable hands of professional carer support workers who are trained in all aspects of care delivery.
They are now seeking a Care Operations Manager to have full oversight of the daily operations of the organisation, maximise the number of carers supported in Surrey/care hours delivered, and ensure the organisation is fully complaint in line with regulatory guidance and legislation. They are also looking to expand their self-funded care business. This is ideal for someone who currently works or aspires to a role in Senior Operations Management.
The role will report into and be required to meet with the Head of Care Operations and Registered Manager on a regular basis to communicate oversight of operations. Ensuring effective governance to fully evidence compliance and positive outcomes in the event of a CQC inspection, alongside input during the inspection process.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- NVQ 5 in leadership/management in Health and Social Care or transferrable qualification
- Knowledge and experience of compliance and CQC regulations in Health and Social Care
- Understanding of Service Delivery and person-centred care and support
- Strategic development, planning and delivery of quality, innovative carer support services
- Excellent team management and leadership skills
The successful candidate will oversee the operational day-to-day management of the professional care support services, ensuring care hour targets are met and ensuring continued compliance with relevant legislation. You will ensure the provision of a high-quality service, enabling individual needs and organisational priorities to be met in accordance with available resources. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills be approachable and confident.

About the role
Church Engagement and Fundraising Officers (CEFO) inspire churches and individuals to be agents of change within Christian Aid, to live our values and mission to overcome poverty. Your role will offer bespoke support, often face-to-face, to a defined set of churches and Christian Aid groups enabling and enriching their contributions. As a CEFO you will motivate churches, groups and individuals to give, act and pray building on the agency of supporters and developing volunteers within their area of work.
