This is an exciting opportunity to join the Freshwater Habitats Trust’s New Forest team, delivering practical, landscape‑scale freshwater conservation projects across the National Park.
The role will focus on identifying, developing and delivering habitat creation and restoration projects to improve freshwater biodiversity at a catchment scale. This will include undertaking catchment walkover surveys to identify issues and opportunities, and working closely with landowners, technical specialists and a wide range of stakeholders to design and implement effective interventions—including habitat creation, restoration and nutrient management.
The postholder will lead on developing project work plans, securing necessary consents and licences, and managing contractors through delivery. Alongside this, the role will involve full project and financial management responsibilities, including budget oversight, reporting against targets, and liaising with funders.
Strong stakeholder engagement is key, with the role also representing the Trust at meetings and contributing to partnerships across the New Forest. This is a varied role combining practical conservation delivery with project leadership, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on freshwater environments.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Officer to lead and support the development and delivery of Natural Flood Management (NFM) and wider freshwater conservation projects. The role will involve working closely with farmers, landowners, partner organisations, regulators and local communities to design and implement practical interventions that deliver multiple environmental benefits, including flood resilience, habitat restoration, water quality improvement and biodiversity recovery.
The successful candidate will play a key role in translating ecological evidence and catchment priorities into deliverable on-the-ground projects. The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with the Health Team to identify, develop, and propose new initiatives, contributing to Hestia's ambitious growth targets. They will lead on tenders that align with organisational priorities, finalising technical questions and method statements, and ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time. The role involves bid writing and review support, conducting research into health and business development models, and exploring integrated funding opportunities. The post-holder will also work alongside Operations and HR teams to develop staffing structures, service delivery models, and financial plans, including modelling the impact of TUPE where relevant.
In addition, the Senior Business Development Manager will support the mobilisation of successful tenders, participate in presentations and clarification interviews, and evaluate outcomes to inform future submissions. They will contribute to Hestia's development strategy by identifying new growth opportunities, supporting service redevelopment, and fostering partnerships or consortia as effective delivery methods. The role requires engagement with commissioners, attendance at strategic forums, production of reports, and participation in internal working groups, while maintaining commercial confidentiality and pursuing personal training and development to enhance understanding of Hestia's services.

We are seeking a highly organised and effective communicator with strong written and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in research, analysis, and preparing reports and recommendations. Experience in tender bid writing is essential. You should have a good understanding of safeguarding and the ability to address issues appropriately, along with knowledge of Health and Adult Social Care funding initiatives. The role requires someone experienced in working collaboratively within teams, providing professional technical advice, and supporting projects from inception to completion.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and deliver innovative multi-channel fundraising campaigns that grow income, engage new audiences, and maximise support across individual giving, community fundraising, legacy, and in-memory programmes.
- Champion a test-and-learn approach, using data, insight, and supporter feedback to enhance the supporter experience, strengthen engagement, and drive long-term value.
- Oversee the creation of compelling fundraising appeals, campaigns, and impact-led communications, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Develop and deliver integrated supporter and membership journeys that boost acquisition, retention, conversion, and regular giving.
- Lead, support, and develop fundraising team members while ensuring excellent supporter care and smooth operational processes that create a positive supporter experience.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics and performance reporting to inform decision-making, identify opportunities, and support sustainable fundraising growth.
About you:
- Proven experience developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies, managing multi-product programmes, and overseeing budgets to achieve sustainable income growth.
- Extensive expertise in individual giving, supporter acquisition, and multi-channel fundraising, with a strong track record of creating engaging supporter journeys and growing fundraising performance across digital and traditional channels.
- Experience developing legacy, in-memory, and community fundraising programmes, supported by excellent supporter stewardship and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and technical capability, including the use of CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics to deliver targeted campaigns, supporter segmentation, performance reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Good understanding of the opportunities and challenges of fundraising within complex organisations, including membership-based or geographically dispersed structures, with experience in the charity sector highly desirable.
- Up-to-date knowledge of fundraising regulation, compliance, and best practice, combined with proven people management skills and the ability to motivate, develop, and support high-performing teams.

Head of IT
This is an exciting time to join as we are embarking on an ambitious Digital, Data and Technology (DDT) Programme to enable the organisation to reach its ambitious goal of raising £120m by 2033. This is a significant time for Technology in the organisation, the Technology Operating Model, Cyber Security initiatives, User Experience (e.g. AI, Microsoft tooling) and the Technology architecture (move from en-prem to SaaS and Azure) are all receiving significant investment and change.
The successful person will be a visible and approachable leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on IT operational management. You’ll be comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders, leading technical teams, and ensuring a consistently high-level of service across the organisation. In addition, this is a time of change so leading and driving forward change evolving IT into a modern scalable service function. This role will have 3 direct reports (with teams) with responsibility for Operations & Infrastructure, Cyber & Information Security and End User Systems Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management
· Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
· Membership of internal programme/business boards, creating and delivering updates to senior stakeholders
· Contributing and collaborating as a key part of the Digital, Data & Technology leadership team
· Acting as the key IT contact for senior business stakeholders
· Building strong relationships with suppliers (including procurement)
· Managing budgets, resources, and IT governance requirements
Digital and Technology change
· Driving forward SaaS and cloud infrastructure migration
· Evolving IT into a modern scalable service function using self-service and automation
· Improving the end user experience from IT provided tools including with AI (safe adoption, productivity enablement, guardrails and policy)
Cyber and Information Security
· Acting as the senior operational owner for cyber and information security, with accountability for policy, standards, controls and incident readiness
· Leading security operations including threat/vulnerability management, incident response, and risk assessment
· Embedding security by design across cloud (Azure), SaaS, and end-user technologies
Technology Operations
· Leading, mentoring, and developing an IT support and infrastructure team
· Overseeing infrastructure (cloud and en-prem), networks, hardware, and end-user technology services
· Ensuring high levels of system availability, reliability, and user satisfaction
· Managing support for devices, connectivity, printers, collaboration tools, and business systems
· Managing and improving support processes, SLAs, and operational performance metrics
· Driving service excellence and managing escalated technical issues when needed
Technology Expertise
Strong experience across modern end-user and enterprise technologies, including:
· Microsoft 365 (Entra ID/Azure AD, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, Active Directory)
· Microsoft Azure (Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, networking and other cloud infrastructure)
· Expertise in hybrid or cloud native environments
· Office technology (networking, Windows environments, personal computing, mobile device management)
· Security tools and services covering identity & access management, endpoint and cloud protection, SIEM/XDR, vulnerability management, and email/domain security
End-user tooling, including emerging AI-enabled productivity tools
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Proven experience in a Head of IT, Service Management / Service Delivery leadership role
· Experience leading digital transformation or cloud modernisation programmes
· Experience in owning cyber and information security with accountability for policy, standards, controls and incident readiness
· Technically credible — able to hold your own in conversations with developers, architects, and IT leadership
· Experience driving continuous service improvement (CSI) and operational excellence
· Track record of delivering service innovation and automation in a growing organisation
· A confident communicator who can represent the IT function professionally at all levels, internally and externally
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage incidents and complex service challenges

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
