The Operations Manager is an internally focused role that ensures the advertised service is delivered. You will be part of the senior management team ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a high quality advice service, including overall management of the advice session supervisors and volunteer team.

The NRPF partnership was set up in 2023 and is being developed by Citizens UK, Migration Exchange, and Praxis. 1) Placing decision-making power and strategic vision in the hands of people doing the work

The Person and the Role
100,000s people in our communities have put down roots in the UK but are denied access to the welfare safety net (No Recourse to Public Funds).
Citizens UK has worked with Migration Exchange and Praxis to raise over £2m to develop a 5 year partnership to enable the movement to end NRPF.
This Senior Project role will be a core part of the support to the steering group of the partnership to make sure it runs effectively and achieves its potential.

The Senior Research Manager for Research Management and Impact is responsible for the allocation and management of all external Marie Curie research awards and for supporting and evidencing their impact on policy and practice. Marie Curie is the second largest funder of palliative and end of life care research in the UK (after the NIHR). - You have substantial experience of leading pre and post award research management at a national research funding body or university/NHS Trust, including extensive experience of managing peer review processes.
- You have a strong background in measuring and reporting research outputs, outcomes and routes to impact.

Marie Curie is the largest charitable funder of palliative and end of life care research in the UK and the second largest funder overall. We oversee a portfolio of research grants including long term Research Centres at University College London and Cardiff University, open and competitively awarded project grants and internal research capacity development through a Research Lead and Academic Research Fellowship programme and small internal research grants. Increasingly, research is also being commissioned to answer specific research questions.
The Research Management Team at Marie Curie oversees and manages Marie Curie's external research investment from setting the strategic direction and research priorities, allocating and monitoring research projects and programmes, to establishing and publicising their impact. Our research priorities are informed by the views of patients, carers and health and social care professionals and we strive to ensure that research findings inform policy and practice to improve end of life experience.
This is a key post in the Research Management Team that is responsible for the allocation and management of research grants such as project grants awarded as part of the Marie Curie Research Grants Scheme, our Research Impact Fund, commissioned research, and reviews of our Marie Curie Research Centres. This includes monitoring grants through the review of annual and final reports, statements of expenditure and Researchfish submissions as well as developing relationships with the research teams to ensure that the next steps of research, notably the impact on policy and practice, is considered from the start of the project or programme.

We are looking for a part time experienced Trusts fundraiser, to focus on larger trusts and foundations to join a growing fundraising team for an incredible LGBTQ+ organisation. This role is for 21.36 hrs p/w (3 days), and looking for one day a week in the London office.
You will be confident working with diverse and intersectional groups who face social exclusion and inequalities around access to appropriate health care, wellbeing and holistic support. You will be able unequivocally to respect, support, promote and work within LGBTQ+ and other diverse communities.
The Role
You will join a growing team of three to maximise income by researching, developing new relationships with trusts, foundations and other funders.
Youll be delivering compelling and impactful applications, and providing a high standard of stewardship to existing funders focussing on bids of c10k+.
You will be building on the existing relationships that have been established as well as cultivating new leads that will increase income from these sources, resulting in a more sustainable mix of income.
The Candidate
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who can build on their own area of fundraising practice and actively contribute to the fundraising team ambition of growing and diversifying income.
Demonstrable experience of raising multiple five, ideally six figure, grants from mutliple funders.
Experience in securing multi-year gifts from Trust and Foundations
Experience in creating bespoke reports, updates and fundraising copy.
Applicants with lived experience of LGBTQ+ or from marginalised communities actively encouraged, howveer not essential.

Attention to detail and the diligent stewardship of the RPO’s existing relationships are of paramount importance. The role requires excellent writing skills, experience of structuring persuasive cases for support, and securing significant grants from a broad range of trusts, foundations and grant making bodies. This is a permanent position with hybrid working, based 3 days from their London offices and flexible working. The salary is £38,000 - £42,000.
