Key Accountabilities 

• Responsible for the end-to-end management of the Legacy Marketing Programme, including Gifts in Wills
• In collaboration with the Individual Giving and Philanthropy Manager, develop and evolve the Legacy Marketing Programme, including In Memory and Tribute Fund marketing, in alignment to the Charity’s mission and strategic goals
• Execute and further develop a comprehensive legacy strategy, with a focus on retention and income growth through, tested supporter journeys, digital channels and automation. Planning for journeys to end with a gift in a will
• Optimise and create supporter journeys to increase propensity to give and drive loyalty and consideration among legacy and individual giving prospects
• Responsible for aligning legacy acquisition and retention marketing to the individual giving programme, to maximise uptake and engagement. In conjunction with their manager, work together to develop new ideas and best practices to improve the number of legacy pledges and the income from In Memory fundraising to increase annual gift amounts
• Achieve income targets that support the delivery of fundraising goals aimed at delivering in excess of £3m+ per annum
• Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and evaluate multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, email, and social media, to maximize giving. Keep track of results and flag under or over performance in a timely manner

This is a great opportunity to join us as the new Chief Finance Officer. As the Depaul Group continues to experience growth and increases its impact, you’ll lead the effective financial and governance support provided by DPI to its subsidiaries. You’ll be the leading interface between the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees and other corporate bodies and subsidiaries. What will ideally support your success?

It’s important that you also have experience of current financial reporting requirements and financial management practices, including consolidated financial reporting. Strong IT skills as well as an appreciation and understanding of key HR and ICT challenges in the charity sector are desirable. We’re looking for someone possibly, but not exclusively, working in homelessness and/or international development who shows personal integrity in all they do and have a commitment and respect for our aims, objectives and values.

The Orchestra Unwrapped Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Learning & Engagement Department, managing our flagship education work that supports our commitment to building a pipeline of exceptional and confident musicians. This role will involve on-site project delivery, representing the Orchestra with external partners and project participants, and facilitating our engagement with schools in London and across the Orchestra’s UK residencies of Bedford, Leicester, Canterbury, Basingstoke.

Key Responsibilities

Planning:

• Programming and delivering our schools’ concerts, including our flagship Orchestra Unwrapped series

• Preparing and scheduling all materials, workshops, CPD/INSET, and resources for Orchestra Unwrapped

• Planning schedules, budgets, and programmes for projects commissioned by music hubs and schools

Execution:

• The delivery, monitoring, and reporting of Orchestra Unwrapped

• Being the first point of contact for school partners, presenters, conductors, and general queries

• Designing and allocating seating plans, ticketing, and coordinating school-based contributions to Orchestra Unwrapped (artwork, sit in sessions, etc)

• The delivery, monitoring, and reporting of commissioned education projects

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing Finance team at Dementia UK in a new role that will oversee the smooth running of the accounts function. As the Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for accurately posting expenditure to the accounts system, Business Central and providing support and training to the Assistant Accountant.

The role involves overseeing the entire finance function, ensuring timely payments, including international transfers and BACS runs. You will work closely with other departments to ensure invoices are correctly coded and maintain a smooth flow of information between Finance and other teams. Additionally, you will process and manage staff expenses, including both the payment and administration of the expenses system.

Your responsibilities will also include preparing monthly bank reconciliations for the main Dementia UK bank account, as well as month-end balance sheet reconciliations and related journals. You will assist in preparing year-end information for the financial statements and the annual audit in addition to regularly monitoring the Finance inbox. Ensuring that financial processes and procedures are compliant with GDPR will be a key aspect of your role.

To succeed in this position, you will need a good general education to degree level or equivalent, or be part-qualified by experience and actively studying for AAT, CIMA, or ACCA. You should be computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and at least one accounting programme. Strong accounting and financial management skills are essential, along with the ability to report to and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

· Design & Implement Staff Training Programs: Develop training modules for staff in areas such as health and safety, safety protocols, customer service, and leadership development.

· Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging, effective, and interactive training sessions for various teams, using a mix of in-person and digital delivery methods.

· Training Needs Analysis: Collaborate with Leadership Teams to identify specific training needs, evaluate employee skill gaps, and create tailored training solutions to address them.

· Performance Measurement: Develop metrics and evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs, reporting findings to management and adjusting programs as needed.

· Resource Development: Create and update training materials, guides, and documentation to ensure consistency and high quality in content delivery.

· New Starter Journey: Review, design and deliver new starter training programmes to ensure Project Officers have the best possible start at NFF, incorporating culture, leadership and knowledge

· External Training Development: Design and deliver specialist training to our partners and clients, ensuring adherence to industry safety standards and practices

· Continuous Improvement: stay up to date with industry best practice, new technologies and new flood-related practices to be incorporated into training materials

 Day-to-Day Activities

· You will line manage an Administrative Co-ordinator who has partial responsibilities for Training delivery and support them with their workstreams and development

• Liaise and develop relationships with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop training processes to support them
• Support Senior Management Team to build income streams and develop new activity, working to support and deliver NFF strategy
• Providing information and case studies for communications and advocacy work

· You will be acting as the main contact for training, both internally and externally

About the Role

As our Trust and Statutory Fundraiser, you’ll lead our statutory fundraising programme, focusing on government funding and the lottery, while also supporting large trust funding applications. Your responsibilities will include:

About the Role

This is a dual-role position supporting both the Finance and HR functions of the charity. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budget management, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. · Post transactions into our accounting software, Xero, ensuring that everything is accurately recorded and coded.

· Complete the quarterly gift aid claims.

HR

· Maintain up-to-date employee records and keep our HR Information System (Breathe HR) up to date.

· Work with the HR Lead to ensure that HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with legislation.

· Organise mandatory training for staff and maintain training records.

· Support employee wellbeing initiatives and internal communications.

· Assist in the payroll process by providing accurate HR data to the finance team.

· Minute the People Committee meeting on a quarterly basis.

· Support for trustee meetings set up and diary management.

Flexibility

Our staff who live in or near London operate on a hybrid model, working in our office within South Bank University (one minute from Elephant and Castle tube station) on Mondays and Tuesdays. Full-time staff work in the office both those days and at home the rest of the week, while part-time staff who live in or near London are required to work in the office on one of those days, and at home for the rest of the week. We also have staff outside London who are fully home-based. We would ideally like the Finance and HR Officer to work in the London office on either Monday or Tuesday (or both if they would prefer that) but we are flexible as to when in the week the remainder of the hours are worked, provided that there is a consistent working pattern each week.
