About the Role

We are seeking an experienced community fundraiser who will play an instrumental role in our established as well as new fundraising events, community engagement, stewardship, increasing awareness of the Centre as well as income generation.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Engage, inspire and encourage supporters, schools, community groups and high street businesses fundraising on behalf of the charity, helping them to achieve their full potential by providing a positive supporter journey.
2. Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters, securing sustainable growth of income and supporter numbers
3. Research and approach local businesses to gain support from them and their customers through fundraising e.g sponsorship of events, cause related marketing and social media platforms
4. Represent SECHC at fundraising meetings, presentations and events outside of normal office hours (evenings and weekends) as required (toil given)
5. Sourcing supporter case stories to support fundraising and impact reporting.
6. Proactively seek opportunities for fundraising events both at the Centre and within the local community.
7. Manage and maintain our KindLink giving platform
8. Provide admin support to the Senior Community & Corporate Fundraising Manager
9. Develop close and effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation to ensure a culture of collaboration.

Main Duties

• Lead on the project management, design, content creation and publishing of communications for the Philanthropy team (including impact report and newsletters) and work with translators to ensure communications are produced in other key ClientEarth languages
• Lead on the development of bespoke reporting for six and seven figure restricted and unrestricted gifts to produce high-quality, compelling reports tailored in style and content to suit a range of audiences in different geographies

A new and exciting role has arisen within our HR team as HR Manager to lead and execute day-to-day HR operations. You will support a team of HR Coordinators to ensure that every stage of the employee lifecycle is handled efficiently and accurately, in accordance with legislation, organisational policies, and best practice.

As part of the role, you will maintain consistency, quality, timeliness, and precision across all HR (including Recruitment) administration and employee relations work. In addition to leading HR operations, you will also serve as a business partner: advising and supporting managers in allocated parts of the organisation, diagnosing operational people issues, and helping to put in place practical, effective solutions, whilst supporting them in delivery of their people strategies.

What you will be doing:

• Lead, manage, coach, and allocate tasks to HR Coordinators; oversee daily workload and priorities, ensuring quality standards are maintained 

• Lead annual reviews of HR operational processes, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance service standards and efficiency. 

• Own the HR operational risk register, proactively identifying risks and supporting mitigation strategies. 

• Be accountable for all aspects of the employee lifecycle ensuring timely and compliant completion of key processes

• Ensure integrity of employee records and that the HRIS (currently SelectHR) is used properly in terms of effectiveness and efficiency as well as data quality/compliance standards. 

• Ensure compliance with UK employment law and internal HR policies in all operations; this includes handling policies, contracts, terms & conditions, and ensuring they are up to date and applied properly. 

• Proactively use HR data and analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery. 

• Deliver strategic guidance and expert support to people managers for Employee Relations (ER) issues in line with allocated business areas* in relation to absences, performance issues, grievances, disciplinaries; support HRBP colleagues as required and escalating more complex or higher risk cases to Head of HR for guidance where required. 
• Lead or support HR-related projects and change initiatives, including process improvements, policy updates, and system implementations ensuring we seek continuous improvement/evolving practices in line with best practice. 

Your experience:

• Strong people skills: able to coach, guide, communicate clearly with staff and managers. 

• Strong organisational skills; able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, deadlines. 

• Demonstratable understanding of UK employment law and statutory HR compliance with experience of business partnering. 

• Ability to manage and develop operational staff, driving continuous improvement and service excellence.

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience supporting managers and external partners. 
• Competence with HRIS / HR systems, Microsoft Office and managing process flows. (The current HRIS is SelectHR and the ATS is Workable). 
• CIPD qualification Level 5 or equivalent desirable but not necessarily essential. 
• Relevant HR / business / administration qualification or equivalent experience.

The Role

What will I be doing?

As Accreditation Coordinator you will part of the Membership and Inclusion team. The role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to upholding quality and standards. We are looking for an organised, resilient individual who can work without close supervision.

Duties include:

• Organising degree accreditation visits, accreditation events, and committee meetings
• Responding to a wide range of enquiries from internation and external contacts
• Conducting initial reviews of degree accreditation applications

Projects you work on may include:

• Development and delivery of assessor training
• Supporting the development of a course endorsement scheme
• Assisting with the enhancement of doctoral training accreditation

• You’ll lead, develop, and deliver horticulture training to disabled adults ranging from entry level to level 2
• You’ll champion a strong work ethic in the garden, helping students achieve their qualifications and develop work-related skills, linking closely with our on-site social enterprise Share Nurseries, which grows and sells plants to the public 

• You will manage three members of the horticulture project, overseeing their projects and providing experience and supporting them 

• You’ll maintain student records, oversee the preparation of student portfolios for verification, and report on progress

• You have occupational competence in Horticulture, ideally qualified to Level 3 or above 

• You have first-rate interpersonal skills, you’re able to communicate and relate to people from all backgrounds
• You’ve delivered horticulture training, and you’ve successfully organised and led a small team before
• You can enthuse and motivate people who may at times find learning challenging, with your patience, empathy, and understanding of autism and learning disabilities

What you'll do:

* Ensure repairs and voids process are updated on CX housing management system at each stage accurately and efficiently.

• Be skilled at working with data, drawing insight from analytics including HR systems; ability to run reports, manipulate data, and analyse information
