Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting for a mental health employment specialist to join our dynamic Camden team supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment.  The role is working within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within an NHS secondary care mental health team based in the heart of Camden.

Who we are: 

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.

The Role: 

The role is within our IPS Service and will be based within a Camden NHS secondary care team. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover, ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to -  a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, and to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from Camden and Islington Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

Overall aim: 

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

Primary Duties: 

• Manage a caseload of up to twenty clients and work within and apply the 8 principles of IPS in all aspects of role. 
• To work with and enable clients to find work using a mix of conventional approaches and employer engagement. 
• To generate ongoing referrals from the clinical team and to manage those effectively. 
• To engage directly and collaboratively with the clinical team while maintaining the existing multi-disciplinary approach to assisting clients seeking work. 
• To report and meet regularly with clinical team service managers and the IPS Operations manager, and to participate in both casework and clinical supervision from IPS Operations and clinical team services managers. 
• To be an active member of both the clinical and Hillside teams 
• To be responsible for own management of administrative duties tied to both Hillside Clubhouse and clinical team and adhering to existing Hillside and NHS protocols. 
• Source job opportunities specific to client needs from a range of sources including those advertised via current and conventional means, as well as through contact with local and Pan London employers.

Job Role:

​We need an exceptional People Team Advisor. This is a key post in supporting the management and staff of the FEC. • Manage and Support onboarding processes with People Administrator.

• Manage and support the implementation and monitoring of HR processes including pre-employment checks (right to work), Enhanced DBS vetting and MOD security clearance, employment contracts and variations, starters and leavers, induction, mandatory/other training, probationary period review, performance and development review, maternity/paternity/shared parental leave, flexible working requests and the evaluation of training.

• Provide and Support Administrator in the management information reports relating to HR, for example absence data, annual leave allowances, training compliance etc.
• Work with team managers to ensure all information (e.g., jobs descriptions, working hours and patterns, etc.) is consistent and up to date.

• Support Head of People in the development of HR policies, Rewards/Benefits, and other HR related projects, as requested.

• Input, maintenance, and provision of all HR data held within the HR Management System (PeopleHR) ensuring a high degree of accuracy.

• Maintain the People Team cloud-based e-filing system to ensure documents and information are retained and easy to locate.

• Initiate and co-ordinate progress of all mandatory staff training (in accordance with the training matrix) reporting compliance issues to managers.

Job Purpose

As part of the four strong events team, this role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of numerous educational events throughout the year. These events support the clinical and non-clinical skills and professional development of our members as key components of lifelong learning and improvement.

In addition, the role will support the Events Manager in the administration of the showcase Annual Congress as well as the Admissions Ceremony. As part of the team, you will also assist other team members as necessary.

Main Purpose and Deliverables

• Delivery of the Training the Trainers Courses (TTT) and Certificate of eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) Courses.
• End to end event, speaker and customer support specifically for the TTT and CESR events and as delegated for the education and seminar programme.
• Assist in the management of the education and seminar programme as well as the Admissions Ceremony with the Events Manager.

Other duties

Who are we looking for?

Firstly, you will need either a degree-level education or relevant work experience, such as in the health and social care or employment sectors. CVAA UK is a membership organisation supporting not-for-profit organisations across the UK who specialise in adoption services. Over 3000 children in the UK need adoption each year because they cannot remain at home or with family members. The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The programme has developed a strong reputation for attracting a range of subject experts to deliver cost effective, engaging and useful training. Due to a restructure of the team, we are now looking for a Training Manager who can oversee the delivery of the programme from mid to late July 2024. Initially fixed term, it is anticipated that this post will become permanent.

The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.

The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. Reporting to: Operations Director & Fundraising Manager

Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all of our staff. We have an office based in Colindale, London, which we tend to work around two days per week, with two days remote working.

About the Role: This is an interesting and varied role. As the post holder you'll be not only be setting up, administering and delivering schemes and activities to benefit Barnet’s looked after young people, you'll also be creating marketing materials and supporting fundraising events.  Promoting the work of our charity is key too through updating our website, writing our quarterly newsletter and social media channels, as well as supporting the running and administration of the charity. 

About You:

You'll have experience of managing and delivering projects, schemes or activities and supporting administrative tasks including keeping accurate records, financial tracking and expenditure.

You'll play an active role in promoting digital inclusion services across the borough and directly support older people with their digital skills development, in person and remotely.

The role

This role sits in our people team, supporting the charity by providing a professional, comprehensive and proactive recruitment service. As the first point of contact for all recruitment related queries from recruiting managers and candidates, you’ll be responsible for uploading vacancies and supporting information onto our online advertising platforms and manage recruitment activity as a key user of our recruitment applicant tracking system (ATS). You’ll also ensure all our recruitment and selection literature, including adverts and job descriptions are correctly branded and formatted.

At TreeHouse School, we're looking for a SEND Officer to join our team.

You'll lead the scheduling and coordination of the statutory annual review process and be responsible for planning, organising, minuting and drafting all annual review paperwork. You'll support the effective provision of the school office administration by having regulatory knowledge to meet the needs of TreeHouse School and work closely with the reception team where required to support a variety of stakeholders.

You'll liaise closely with the school based Transdisciplinary Team staff, including class teachers, OT, SaLT, PBS specialists as well as outside agencies. You'll manage and organise pupil appointments, including informing parents/carers. You'll manage diaries/Outlook calendars, make appointments, book meetings and training rooms, whilst also being responsible for meeting minutes and note taking.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Formal administrative/reception qualification or equivalent experience
• Excellent working knowledge of SEND code of practice and Annual review process
• Experience of working within a similar SEND organisation/school/charity environment
• Experience of using own initiative to plan, organise and manage own workload
