The role is a full time and fixed term contract for one year. 

The Cafes Manager will take full responsibility in leading and operating a successful cafes and catering operation, giving our student members an excellent service experience every day, looking to implement our cafes operation with new and innovative ideas led by the Head of Commercial Services. This role forms a key part of our Operations team, led by the Director of Operations. Comprising of both front facing and behind the scenes departments including; Cafés and Bars, Retail, Bloomsbury Fitness Gym, Human Resources, Facilities and Systems, the team delivers core functions and central services for the Union, as well as providing a diverse range of quality facilities accessible to our 55,000 members. The Operations team, and this role, are central to the successful delivery of our new strategic plan that will set us on the path to become one of the best students’ unions in the UK, and more importantly a better students’ union for our members.

At over 200 acres, Crystal Palace Park is far larger than most urban parks. The role of Senior Manager, Audience & Communications offers a hugely exciting opportunity for a creative, dynamic and strategic communications and marketing professional to join the charity at a pivotal moment in its evolution. 

You will be able to develop and deliver creative and compelling multi-channel campaigns to meet objectives including:

CAFOD has an ambition to be digital first in our marketing and communications, to stay ahead of emerging trends and make the most of what digital technology can offer to strengthen our relationships with our supporters and in our ways of working across the organisation. Digital technology has already transformed our communications and will continue to do so. This senior communications and marketing role will be responsible for steering the ongoing digital transformation of CAFODs work, primarily in the supporter programme and also across the wider organisation.

This role encompasses overall responsibility for the brand, digital marketing, messaging, proactive and reactive media relations, with a core focus on digital transformation across all platforms. This post will play a key role in guiding our digital shop fronts and marketing efforts, evolving supporter journeys, steering our email programme and leading on the digital infrastructure to enable delivery of our supporter programme. It will ensure that digital engagement and conversion is embedded and an integral part of our communications planning. 

This role will drive innovation and data-informed insight across the full spectrum of communications and wider organisation functions. This role will drive brand awareness, brand advocacy and action across our programmes to ensure CAFOD is top of mind amongst the Catholic Community of England and Wales, helping to grow support from our constituency. You will bring proven senior-level experience in digital communications and marketing, ideally within the charity sector. With a strong understanding of communications at a senior level with expert knowledge of digital channels, audience engagement, and online conversion, you also have a strategic grasp of how digital integrates into broader communications and supporter strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development, direction setting and delivery of an ambitious, insight-led digital-first communications strategy that enhances supporter journeys, increases engagement and drives measurable growth in support of our supporter programme, especially our parishioner-first fundraising strategy. 

• Act as CAFODs senior expert on communications, advising the Executive team, across departments and influencing strategic decision-making, including on digital direction and development, at the highest level. 

• Lead complex cross-organisational projects that improve our digital supporter experience, from acquisition to long-term engagement and conversion, ensuring timeliness and consistency with supporter programme priorities, especially the parishioner-first fundraising strategy and approach. 

• Provide leadership and overall oversight of external communications and messaging, including brand consistency and press/media engagement, ensuring consistency between our fundraising efforts, our campaigning work and profiling our international work to supporters and key stakeholders.

• Lead and oversee the digital teams - email marketing programme, social media engagement, digital developments, campaigns and the website, to ensure user experience is optimised and platforms support our supporter programme and broader organisational strategic objectives and ambitions. 

• Lead the media team to explore and encourage new approaches including how we further maximise the digital media landscape.

• Line manage senior specialists across digital marketing, website, and media and PR, ensuring high performance and professional growth. 

• Work closely with IT, data and external agencies to ensure agile, secure and effective digital delivery across platforms. 

• Represent the organisation externally where appropriate, with a focus on digital thought leadership. 
• Develop and manage the communications budget effectively, aligning resources to priority areas and demonstrating clear impact. Agree and ensure accountability for objectives and KPIs as part of the wider supporter strategy, fostering a culture of ongoing learning, adaptation and improvement.

Person Specification 

• Extensive experience in a senior digital communications and marketing leadership role, with demonstrable success in developing and delivering integrated and audience-led multi-channel communications and marketing strategies. 
• Strong experience of overseeing development of supporter journeys and objectives, website development, CRM integration and email engagement and conversion. 
• Passionate about digital innovation and technologies, with deep knowledge of platforms, formats, and trends. 
• Committed to insight-led and data-driven approaches with skills to use digital tools, platforms and analytics to shape decisions and measure impact. 
• Excellent leadership, inter-personal and team management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate multi-disciplinary teams. 
• Strong cross-functional project management ability, with experience leading organisational change in digital capability. 
• Understanding of broader communications and marketing disciplines, with the ability to ensure alignment and brand consistency and also oversee media and PR work, including reputational risk and crisis communications.

We are looking for a Data Scientist/Analyst to help us make this change. You will be based in the LFF Research Team, reporting to our Director of Research and Impact.

IA is offering an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and experienced Stoma and Pouch Care Specialist Nurse to help us lead and develop our strategic clinical support services to people living with an ileostomy or an internal pouch.

The successful applicant will have been in a similar role for at least 12 months as an experienced Stoma/Pouch Specialist Nurse and qualified to at least (NHS) Band level 6. As someone who is passionate about helping people who have been through, or are considering life-changing surgery, your empathetic approach, high standards and professionalism together with your excellent clinical knowledge and experience will put the patient at the heart of everything that you do.

In addition to direct support through one of our many communications channels, your clinical experience will help us to further our charitable aims, developing additional strategic services supported by our team of staff, trustees and volunteers, many of whom have been through life changing surgery themselves.

As someone who is flexible in their approach and is prepared to think outside of the box, each day will offer a different challenge. Whether you are representing IA at external meetings, on various multi-disciplinary committees or advocating for improvements in products and services available to people living with a stoma and internal pouch, your strong voice and stakeholder management skills will represent both the charity and the voice of the patient.

Primary location of role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Strategic Communications Manager to work as part of our Policy & Practice Team.

Policy and Practice work towards our corporate strategy objectives by elevating the voices of lived experience and diverse communities to influence system change and ensuring it is then delivered on the ground for people severely affected by mental illness.

How you will make a difference

The Strategic Communications Manager will shape and deliver the communications strategy for a landmark, mental health partnership. The partnership, funded by the Wellcome Trust, brings together over 20 leading mental health organisations in a coordinated effort to push mental health up the political agenda and drive transformational change in UK mental health care. The role will support the Influencing Partnership Strategic Lead, hosted at Rethink Mental Illness, and comms colleagues across the sector to deliver this.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the launch and development of Imprinted, Imperial College Union’s brand-new Temp Staff Agency. Designed to provide flexible and meaningful employment opportunities for Imperial students, the agency will serve both internal departments and external clients, enhancing the student experience while supporting the Union’s commercial strategy.

As Temp Agency Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing student workforce, ensuring operational excellence, and driving business growth. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the agency’s culture, systems, and reputation, working collaboratively across the College and Union to deliver a professional, inclusive, and commercially sustainable service.

This is a self-starting and rewarding role for someone with strong operational, people, and business development skills, who is passionate about student success and service innovation.

What you would be doing

You will lead the day-to-day operations of the Temp Agency, overseeing recruitment, training, placement, and welfare of a large student workforce. You’ll manage relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with employment regulations. You’ll also be responsible for financial oversight, performance monitoring, and strategic growth, including expanding the agency’s reach during student vacation periods.

Key responsibilities include:

Operational Management

• Lead daily operations and service delivery across internal and external clients
• Develop systems for onboarding, placement, compliance, and reporting
• Ensure efficient workforce deployment and policy compliance
• Collaborate with departments to forecast staffing needs

Workforce Management

• Recruit and manage 200–300 student staff
• Deliver induction, training, and development programmes
• Foster a positive and inclusive working culture
• Oversee scheduling and resolve staffing issues

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as main contact for clients and partners
• Maintain strong relationships and conduct service reviews
• Negotiate contracts and represent the agency externally

Business Development

• Implement growth strategies and identify new opportunities
• Expand client base during vacation periods
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote the agency
• Monitor market trends and contribute to commercial strategy

Financial & Performance Management

• Manage a £1M annual budget
• Track KPIs and produce reports for senior stakeholders
• Ensure competitive pricing and financial sustainability

What we are looking for

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced manager with a passion for student development and operational excellence. You’ll be a confident communicator, skilled in managing people, processes, and partnerships, with a strong commercial mindset and commitment to inclusion.

• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in recruitment, HR, operations, or business management
• Employment law or compliance training/qualification
• Proven experience managing a temp agency or large casual workforce
• Experience handling high-volume placements and multiple clients
• Strong commercial acumen and business development experience
• Financial and performance management expertise
• Knowledge of employment law, safeguarding, and agency best practice
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical skills to monitor performance and identify trends

About Woman's Trust

Woman’s Trust was established almost thirty years ago and is the leading specialist in mental health services for women. Led by and for women, it aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a safe and healthy life, free from further harm. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recover from the trauma. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.3m and 40 staff. About the role

As a Counselling Project Administrator, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient project administration of Woman’s Trust Counselling services.

This role is part-time, working 28 hours per week to cover a period of maternity leave with a start date of December 2025.
