What the job involves 

We’re looking for an Income Processing Executive to join our Data Import Team. This role who will be vital in ensuring our regular giving income continues to grow and help to fund our research to stop prostate cancer killing men.

You’ll be responsible for the day to day running and upkeep of our regular giving customers’ details in our CRM, and for the preparation and submission of weekly payment files to our payment partner. This requires handling data effectively, promptly and above all accurately in line with our business priorities while ensuring best practice and compliance.  

You’ll proactively engage regularly with other teams ensuring that our supporters are given an excellent service, that meets the business objectives of Prostate Cancer UK. 

This role will take responsibility for checking that incoming data matches uploaded data, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and adjust gift data in our CRM, Raiser’s Edge, when required.

We're looking for someone with a high attention to detail. You’ll understand the foundations of information architecture, and how data structures underpin real-world actions.

About the role

Person specifications

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and/or interest in forest governance and human rights, particularly in Central Africa. They should have experience and/or interest in providing project management support within a charitable organisation or in an international development context, as well as collaborating with local NGOs in developing countries. Additionally, they should have experience and/or interest in managing development project budgets, monitoring expenditure and processing payments.

Basic understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), project work plans, and logical frameworks is necessary, along with proficiency in producing high-quality financial and narrative reports.

The candidate must demonstrate the capability to manage projects in accordance with the requirements of institutional donors and contribute to strategic project development, including project design and the creation of funding proposals.
Furthermore, the successful applicant must be fluent in both written and spoken English and French.

They should also be willing to undertake travel for up to 16 weeks per year, including visits to remote forest areas.

East London Apartments provides 24-hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).

1. 5 years’ PQE qualified lawyer, with demonstrable experience of management at a senior level.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This role would suit someone with a proven track record in collaborative new business development from concept and research to delivery; ideally in an environment working with local authorities, NHS, DWP, health bodies, and/or grant institutions.  We are also looking for an exceptional communicator with strong verbal and written influencing skills across various levels of seniority.  Our ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, including sales and negotiation expertise, and a good understanding of the financial principles applicable in the charity sector.  The successful candidate will be expected to uphold and embody the values of Twining in all aspects of their work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead and support the creation of high-quality bids and funding applications, including finalising technical questions and method statements.

· Manage the administrative components of the tendering process.

· Build and maintain networks with local health, social care and employment agencies.

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. BACKGROUND   

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership.

Our Business Development department is integral to the success of our organisation and we are looking for an experienced, organised and driven individual to fulfil the role of Head of Business Development. 

We are looking for someone who is comfortable in leading and co-ordinating a team. You will lead and operationally manage the department in our external business development engagement activities as well as our internal, cross-departmental collaboration working towards our ‘Evolve Strategy’.

You will have a clear and demonstrable understanding of configuring, organising and developing business development strategies and an understanding of how an awarding body operates particularly within the education landscape. 

A proactive communication style, strong organisation and interpersonal skills and a decisive nature are key qualities required in this role. You will operate in a flexible and predominantly remote working environment; therefore a demonstrable experience of working using your own initiative alongside a desire to innovate and test new ways of working are essential. 

Your team will be supported by a Business Development Co-ordinator and two Business Development Managers, each focused on retention of business and new business (New Business Development Manager to be recruited). Additionally, a team of Business Development Officers and Centre Engagement Executives also support the team. 

We view this role as an integral part of successfully delivering our strategy. You will have the opportunity to shape the way your department operates to support the needs of the business as well as our centres. 

The role fits within the wider Leadership Team and working closely with other HODs and Managers will be a key ingredient to success. 

Role purpose: 

• Set & deliver the Business Development Strategy alongside the Director of Engagement that supports growth, reach, and impact of Leadership Skills Foundation programmes. 
• Drive operational progress by developing positive and proactive working relationships with other Heads of Department.
• Influence the future direction of the Leadership Skills Foundation as a member of the Leadership Team.

The main resposnsibiltiies will be:

• Effectively manage and develop the Business Development Team and relationship management functions to meet agreed budgets and maximise learner/programme registrations.
• Accountable for the Business Development team’s sales planning and forecasting including annual budgeting.
• Regularly developing and presenting clear insight and analysis on market activity, responsibilities, and opportunities.
• Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications and New Business Development Manager to devise and deliver targeted new business campaigns and activities.
• Work closely with the Retained Business Development Manager to devise and deliver strategies to retain and grow our centres.
• Work with the Business Development Coordinator to ensure engagement processes and the customer journey meet the needs of centres efficiently.
• Maintain a working knowledge and up to date awareness of the sectors, market audiences and landscape the Leadership Skills Foundation works with.

Head of (HOD) Responsibilities

• Implement the one company/vision/culture and demonstrate its impact.
• To carry out environmental scanning to recognize opportunities and challenges and formulate appropriate actions to position the Foundation in line with its agreed objectives.
• To implement and develop appropriate business management capabilities and practices across the organisation.
• To operationally implement the strategy and set work expectations as agreed by the Board and the SLT.

Skills, experience and knowledge 

• An understanding of education systems in the UK 
• Previous experience in a sales environment and understanding sales processes. 
• Experience of managing pipeline systems
• A proven track record of delivering income growth 
• Analytical thinking and evaluation skills
• Ability to present information concisely using Microsoft Office programmes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Leadership capabilities

Desirable 

• Previous experience of managing a sales team and managing direct reports
• An understanding of awarding bodies and their operating landscape 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI

CIPD Qualified
Strong experience of working in a business focused / income generating environment as an HR Business Partner.
