About the role

We’re looking for someone who has experience in marketing, communications and engagement for events, gala lunches, fundraising products and campaigns. We want you to bring creativity, insight and energy to help drive the income of the Charity from your marketing and engagement perspective. This could look like selling tickets for events, running campaigns or increasing sign ups to Legacy.

You’ll oversee and be responsible for executing the marketing plans to support events, partnerships, music services, education and our annual campaigns, where you will get support from, and line manage a Marketing and Communications Officer and an Events Marketing Officer.

This role sits within our Engagements and Communications (E&C) team, which is under our wider Income Generation directorate, (other teams include partnerships, events, trust and foundations and business development) which has ambitious fundraising targets as part of a new 5-year strategy.

You’ll be working closely with and leading on projects between teams within Income Generation, such as our award winning Events team and our hugely successful Partnerships team. So if you love the fast-paced nature of events, and the challenge of increasing income through engaging audiences – as well as lots of music – then this role is for you.

We are looking for a Garden Coordinator to nurture our award-winning urban rooftop garden. This part-time role is perfect for someone with a green thumb, a heart for education, and a knack for community engagement.

The ideal candidate: With experience in gardening and food growing you will have experience in building the skills and confidence of others in these areas.  You have great organisational and time-management skills, in order to run our Gardening Trainee Scheme. About the Role

The role of Database Officer sits in the Data, Evidence and Monitoring team, at the junction of frontline services, fundraising and the leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of In-Form, our case management system for frontline services. In-Form represents a key data asset for the organisation so we are looking for someone who is responsible, conscientious and able to provide excellent customer service to other stakeholders who rely on In-Form. A strong interest in information management and databases is also essential for this role.

We would like to manage aspects of the development of In-Form in-house with limited recourse to the technical support team at In-Form. We recognise that this involves technical skills and will provide relevant on-the-job training to the successful candidate. We believe this job would be an ideal opportunity for someone who already has experience of using a case management system as a frontline worker in health/social care and now wants to move into data management, data protection and/or project monitoring and evaluation (M&E).

At The Social Change Nest, we power grassroots movements and community-led change by offering trusted fiscal hosting, grant management, and financial infrastructure. We’re radically transforming the funding landscape and strengthening civil society. Role Purpose

As our international grantmaking and emergency relief support expands, we are seeking an experienced International Finance Manager to oversee high-risk and complex financial operations in humanitarian and activist contexts globally.

The International Finance Manager will provide financial leadership and oversight across our growing global grantmaking portfolio. This new role which we are testing out requires balancing robust financial stewardship with flexibility to meet the urgent needs of grassroots movements and funders working in complex, high-risk contexts.

Working closely with colleagues in Compliance, Risk & Innovation and the Grant Distribution team, you will ensure secure, transparent, and compliant management of international funds/grant disbursements, while modelling the collaborative, trauma-informed, and values-driven approach that sits at the heart of SCN’s work.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Stakeholder Management - 10%

• Act as the finance lead for philanthropic clients raising funds for overseas emergency relief and grassroots movements.

• Provide clear, practical advice on financial risk, compliance, and best practice to clients.

• Build trusted relationships with grassroots partners, ensuring funds are transferred responsibly and reporting is accessible and transparent.

• Apply a trauma-informed approach, recognising the pressures and lived realities of partners in conflict or activist environments.

• Represent SCN’s values of equity, transparency, and care in all external and internal relationships.
   

Grant Finance Oversight - 60%

• Lead end-to-end financial processes for international grantmaking, including budgeting, transfers, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Handle subscription based and/or recurring donation management 

• Oversee multi-currency payments into high-risk regions, ensuring compliance and mitigating fraud or diversion risks.

• Strengthen internal controls and systems, aligning them with SCN’s expanding global reach.

• Co-design grantmaking processes with colleagues and partners that meet donor requirements while centering grassroots needs.

• Navigate sanctions regimes and humanitarian exemptions, especially in conflict-affected regions.

Person Specification

Essential Experience and Knowledge

• Strong experience in finance, grantmaking, or compliance within humanitarian or philanthropic contexts.

• Proven expertise in managing overseas financial transactions, including multi-currency payments and reconciliations

• Experience in managing volatile exchange rates and currency fluctuations risks

• Experience with international payments into high-risk jurisdictions, including unincorporated or grassroots networks.

Terms and benefits:

Terms: The role will be full-time (37.5 hours/week) permanent contract  - we will consider well-structured JobShare applications. As we often work with volunteers, occasional evening and weekend work will be required and compensated through TOIL. Occasional but limited UK or European travel will be required (by arrangement).

Salary: £39,705

Location: You must be based in the UK. We have an office in Farringdon, London, where London-based staff typically work at least two days a week. If you are based outside of London, the role will be home-based. 

We hold quarterly all-staff strategy meetings and annual away days which you will be required to attend in person: we will cover the cost of your travel. You will be required to come together with the team occasionally and these travel costs will not be covered, we try our best to keep these to when only necessary. 

Language Skills & Visa Status: Candidates must be fluent in English and have the independent right to work in the UK for a minimum of two years, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.

Holiday: 22 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as an additional 3 days between Christmas and New Year when the office and our services are closed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role could suit two types of candidates:

• A practitioner with experience of working with children and families who wants to use their practice experience in a programme management role, or;

It would be an advantage, though not essential, to have experience of Family Group Decision Making, solution-focused practice, or the children’s social care sector.

The role is home based with regular travel into Bromley and Hackney Local Authority offices. What does a week look like for a Daybreak Programme Manager?

No two weeks are the same, but as a Programme Manager you can expect to balance a mix of operational oversight, supporting your freelancer team, and stakeholder engagement. Typical activities include:

Ensuring a quality service for families, and delivering on contract aims

• Reviewing and triaging referrals, including case discussions with referrers.
• Quality-assuring referrals and Family Plans, ensuring procedures are followed and records are kept up to date in our case management system.

The Role

What will I be doing?

• Managing a portfolio of public engagement events, including the delivery of the summer exhibition in Dublin each year and public engagement events across NI, Scotland and Wales

Centre 404 is a thriving charity with a proud history of supporting people with learning disabilities and their families. Based in North London, we currently work across eight London boroughs. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Finance Manager to lead our finance function and help us build a financially resilient future.

�� About the Role

This is a key leadership role within our Central Services team. You’ll oversee day-to-day financial operations, manage a small team, and deliver accurate, timely reporting that supports strategic decision-making across the organisation.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Finance & IT, senior managers, and Trustees to ensure robust financial planning, compliance, and risk management. Your work will directly support our mission and help us maximise the impact of every pound we receive.

�� Key Responsibilities

· Lead the finance team and manage daily operations

· Deliver monthly management accounts, statutory reporting, and audits

· Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

· Ensure compliance with Charity SORP, funder requirements, and financial regulations

· Support strategic projects and deputise for the Head of Finance & IT

We’re looking for someone who is either qualified or working towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA, with a strong track record in financial management. You’ll be a confident communicator, a proactive problem-solver, and a collaborative leader who thrives in a mission-led environment.

You’ll bring:

· Experience in charity finance and donor reporting (desirable)

· Strong understanding of financial systems and controls

· Ability to lead and develop a finance team
