Property & Facilities Manager

Salary: £37,500pa (pro rata); Full time or part time (3 days)

We are seeking a Property & Facilities Manager who will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the properties of Richmond Team Ministry and their facilities. The properties include three churches, their associated church halls, vicarages, Parish Office and investment properties.

We are looking for someone with property and facilities management experience including managing small building projects and related finance and budgeting.  S/he needs to be able to work collaboratively as part of a small team and have the ability to take the initiative and develop the role while supporting the ethos of the Richmond Team Ministry.

Age UK has an exciting opportunity for a Network Learning and Development Manager to join our Learning & Development and Culture Team! This role will report into the Head of Organisation, Culture and People Development, with direct links to our Network Support division.

In this role, we're looking for someone who is skilled at working with a diversity of stakeholders to identify their training and development needs and capable of using this insight to oversee the development, design, management and delivery of learning content on digital platforms..
You'll also be great at building relationships, which is key to this role!

As Network Learning and Development Manager, you will lead on the delivery of Learning and Development for our network of local Age UKs and national partners so that they can deliver high quality services to older people in their localities. Experience of designing high-quality, engaging, interactive and learner-centred online learning content is an essential requirement for this post.

We're looking for someone who can manage a variety of L&D projects and their delivery against set timelines, planning how the training will be delivered creatively, whilst engaging with stakeholders and supporting the 130+ local Age UKs and local Age Cymru partners in England and Wales, as well as Age UK nationally and our national partners in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

A strong team-player by nature, you'll work with other colleagues across the Network Support Division and the wider Age UK Group to communicate the vision for Network learning, with the goal to deliver strategic departmental objectives.

Must haves:

* Experience working in an L&D function, implementing the full learning cycle from needs assessment and data analysis, to training development, delivery, and evaluation.
* Experience of organising, curating and managing content on digital platforms.
* Experience of designing high-quality, engaging, interactive and learner-centred E-Learning, using tools like Articulate.
* Experience of managing multiple stakeholders.
* Experience of working collaboratively, and project managing in a fast paced, complex environment, building networks with a diverse range of people.
* Strong IT skills, including extensive knowledge of MS Office including Excel and Forms, MS Dynamics/alternative CRM systems and using software to creatively present information about the impact of projects.
* Ability to communicate complex information clearly and in response to the needs of different audiences.
* Ability to be a team player as this is a cross divisional role.
* Self-motivated and hands on approach to the delivery of key strategic objectives.

Great to haves:
* Experience of using the Moodle learning platform.
* Experience working in a hybrid environment.
* CIPD Qualification or similar.

Role Summary    

This exciting role will enable Alcohol Change UK to reach millions of people across the UK with key messages about alcohol and alcohol harm, delivered through print, online, and broadcast media engagement tactics. With a high level of existing press interest in our work and campaigns (including our flagship Dry January® campaign), this is an exciting moment as we look to develop our proactive media engagement and share reframed stories about alcohol which resonate with a huge audience. Your work will drive significant awareness of our organisation, and ultimately enable millions of people to transform their relationship with alcohol.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities    

Media engagement  

• Manage the organisation’s media inbox and phone line, handling enquiries from journalists and providing responses in a timely manner

• Provide regular out of hours media cover on a rota basis (scaling depending on busier campaign periods, shared fairly with others and TOIL provided for hours worked)

• Develop public media statements and quotes across the whole spectrum of Alcohol Change UK’s work, issuing to press both reactively and proactively

• Provide ongoing development of our key lines library, regularly reviewing responses we have on file for a range of topics 

• Support Alcohol Change UK spokespeople (Chief Executive, Directors and others) prepare for interviews: developing tailored briefings ahead of opportunities, providing a sounding board to rehearse key lines when required and giving feedback on appearances to support ongoing development

• Manage our media database and reporting tools, providing regular condensed reports for the Director of Communications and Marketing/CEO/Board and develop insights-gathering to better inform our media engagement strategy

• With the Director of Communications and Marketing, play a key role in media crisis management, escalating issues as appropriate, suggesting solutions and developing organisational responses to sensitive situations

• Support the deployment of Alcohol Change UK voices, working closely with the Engagement Team to identify Community Champions, Ambassadors and others who are happy to be supported to share their experiences of alcohol and alcohol harm with the media

Developing a new proactive media strategy  

• Plan and deliver a new strategy for generating proactive media coverage, where Alcohol Change UK’s research, campaigns, parliamentary and wider activity connect with larger audiences in a strategic way

• Working closely with teams across the organisation, craft compelling media plans and press releases to generate coverage of our work

• Bring fresh energy to opportunity spotting, securing opinion pieces, expert comment, letters to editors and other ‘newsjacking’ content – particularly on ‘culture change’ topics such as sober shaming and stigma 

• Manage relationships with key journalists in our sector, exploring opportunities for partnerships and exclusives

Campaign media activity  

• Particularly for our flagship Dry January® campaign, and with the support of the Director of Communications and Marketing, develop media support briefs for external media agencies, when required 

• Develop fresh strategies and media angles for annual campaigns (Dry January®, Sober Spring, Alcohol Awareness Week) to keep activity engaging for public and returning audiences

• Think creatively to craft media strategies which are tailored to reach segmented audience groups, aligning with targets for individual campaigns to reach under-served communities 

• Provide detailed campaign media evaluations, insights and learning reports

The Senior Philanthropy Manager will line manage the Philanthropy Officer, supporting their development and fostering an overall culture of collaboration and high performance. About the Team

Our innovative model is based on three principles: Prevent, Protect and Pursue.  We are one of the UK’s largest providers of survivor services, with ten safehouses and six outreach hubs, staffed round the clock by specialist staff, working with more than 600 men, women and dependent children each year.  We work to raise awareness in the UK and to provide preventive work in source countries. Our Pursue work helps survivors to engage with police and within the legal system to seek justice and to secure convictions against their perpetrators.

As an Area Manager you will give leadership, direction and guidance to the staff of Medaille Trust to ensure the provision and development of a high quality service in line with the Trust’s Mission, Values and Strategy.

You will have a good understanding of the CQC framework relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.  You will carry out quarterly assurance audits in all safe houses ensuring any appropriate action is taken where necessary.

You will line manage, induct, mentor, coach and support Service Managers.  Additionally, you will ensure that any complaints, grievances and disciplinaries are investigated and responded to in an effective and timely manner in line with Medaille Policies.

Although the post is home based, the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to our safe houses within the South and London areas with some overnight stays.

You must have previous experience in a relevant sector or experience of working with adults that are vulnerable.  Experience of managing staff, carrying out line management, supervision and appraisals is essential.  Additionally, you must have experience of setting up Service User Engagement groups.

About the role

You’ll mobilise people to become part of a growing community, taking action to improve the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's. You’ll lead collaboration, joint planning, shared ownership and delivery of area plans to develop a people powered movement, uniting everyone behind a common vision. 

You’ll be responsible for driving forward the charity’s strategic plans, working with the vision of the community in a designated geographical area.  You’ll grow, facilitate and inspire a movement of people that is supported to have a positive impact and is reflective of the local community.

• Be accountable for developing, overseeing delivery and evaluation of the local community development plan
• Create an inclusive model of feedback and collaboration that increases participation and involvement across diverse communities 
• Source and analyse validated data and local intelligence to support the  community to make informed decisions about priorities and evaluate interventions
• Build and develop local partnerships, collaborations, coalitions in order to achieve innovative and creative responses with positive outcomes that will meet identified needs

What you’ll bring

• Experience of people (staff and volunteer) management as well as a commitment to working collaboratively with volunteers, and demonstrable experience of engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including those from diverse communities
• Experience of engaging and inspiring internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver organisational objectives
• Experience of facilitating and modelling a collaborative and transparent approach, which promotes trust, mutual respect, ownership, reflection and a sense of responsibility 
• Knowledge and/or experience of appropriate health, social care structures and services relevant to Parkinson’s and of the principles of influencing and campaigning
