The Role
As the Chief Business Improvement and Technology Officer, you will lead efforts in quality, assurance and compliance, business reporting, and technology and digital transformation. You’ll ensure services are high-performing, compliant, and continuously improving, and that systems and insights support everything from frontline care to national campaigning. This role is a key member of that team, working alongside the Deputy Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Finance Officer, and Chief People Officer. Together, you will shape the organisation’s strategy, culture, and delivery.
About You
We are looking for someone with senior leadership experience in technology, digital, data, or business improvement within a care, support, health, or social impact organisation. With proven ability to develop business improvement strategies (for example, quality, technology, data) that enhance frontline service and wider programme and practice delivery and user experience, you will have a strong track record of building and embedding organisational data and insight functions that inform both operational decisions and external campaigning and influencing.
You will have experience of:
- Technology, data, or business improvement in the charity, health, or social care sectors.
- Overseeing IT infrastructure, and/or digital platforms, and/or cyber security in a multi-site or distributed service environment.
- Deep understanding of data protection, compliance, quality assurance, and governance.
- Using data and digital tools to support and improve service delivery, and/or policy development, campaigning, and public engagement.
- Building and leading multidisciplinary teams across technology, insight, digital development, and compliance.

Main Duties:
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts with review and interpretation of results, MI, risks and opportunities for budget holders

A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Early Help IDVA for Solace co-located in Islington Early Help services. As an Early Help IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse working with Early Help including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as an Early Help lead for Solace in Islington, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and Islington Early Help professionals.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work, and part of this involves being co-located multiple days per week within Islington’s Early Help Family Support at the Family Hubs teams, and from our office.

Approved Premises (APs) work with high-risk people released from prison, providing a vital element in public protection arrangements. APs offer a level of contact, support and supervision within the community that is unique within the Criminal Justice System. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated, enthusiastic staff team at our male Approved Premises in Battersea, playing a key role in pro-social modelling, rehabilitation and community reintegration for those ready to make positive choices.
Working closely with Probation Officers and other community services such as police, health, housing and substance misuse, we provide a stepping stone from prison into the community.
As a member of the Approved Premises team, you will model pro-social behavior and foster a positive, respectful culture with both clients and colleagues. You will actively engage with residents, supporting communal activities such as meal preparation, and contribute to the delivery of individual sentence plans in collaboration with probation officers, police, and external agencies.
Your role will involve providing administrative and practical support, ensuring daily tasks are completed, and following all operational protocols. You will encourage compliance and enforce rules relating to curfews and drug and alcohol testing as required. Keeping colleagues, multi-agency partners, and management informed is essential.
You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health, safety, security, cleanliness, and well-being of the premises and residents, utilizing tools such as CCTV, observation, and direct personal contact. Accurate, timely record-keeping and appropriate information sharing with respect for confidentiality are critical components of this role.
Using your initiative, you will identify and address additional tasks or emerging issues, working within the service to maintain an enabling environment. Role Overview
ESU Competition Leads host our ESU competitions, including the ESU Schools’ Mace Debating Competition, the ESU Public Speaking Competition and the ESU Performing Shakespeare Competition. The ESU Competition Lead is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of events (heats) throughout the competitions, with duties including Zoom hosting and MCing. If required, Competition Leads may sit on the judges’ panel and provide constructive feedback to students and teachers participating. You will also support and provide guidance for our volunteer judges, ensuring they have a positive experience while volunteering with the ESU. Responsibilities
For all competitions you will:
- Support and promote the charitable objectives of the ESU, acting as an ambassador for the organisation
- Assist the ESU Competitions Team in ensuring competition heats run smoothly and act as point of contact for schools and volunteers on the day of heats
- MC or compere Zoom and in-person heats, engaging both students and audience whilst following ESU scripts
- Be the technical host for Zoom ESU competition heats, setting up and hosting Zoom meetings, creating break-out rooms and acting as tech support throughout heats
