This role delivers a range of dynamic and engaging financial education programmes to young people, adults, and professionals. As part of our Programmes and Delivery Directorate, our Trainers love working with our participants; they’re the front line of our work, representing Money Ready’s exceptional programme quality in a range of settings.

This role will work with both children and adults across our programme suite and will require significant travel to our delivery locations throughout the area to deliver face-to-face sessions to diverse groups of learners. Occasional virtual sessions will also need to be delivered. All delivery-related travel is covered by a London TfL travel card, provided by Money Ready.

We are proud of the quality of trainers we hire, and we have a good mix of people, including former primary and secondary teachers and youth workers. You will be joining an excellent team in London who know their stuff, so there will be ample opportunity for you to learn and to provide feedback on where our programmes might improve. You do not need to be an existing expert on financial education; we will train you on everything you need to know.

Key responsibilities

Programme Delivery

• Deliver Money Ready’s suite of programmes in a variety of settings to support the delivery of our business plan and the Programme and Delivery Directorate’s Delivery Plan.
• Deliver to the Money Ready education and accreditation framework, ensuring learners have an excellent shot at achieving the programme accreditation.
• Adapting your delivery to meet the needs and learning requirements of diverse participants, often thinking on your feet and adapting to what is happening in the room.
• Completion of all Money Ready processes that surround our delivery work.
• Investing your time in your own development by learning from your colleagues and finessing your delivery craft. This will include participating in our internal training offer.

Programme Development

• Using your insight and experience to help support changes to our current programmes in a structured and thoughtful way, for example, through developing content.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Trainer: Domestic Abuse, Gender-Based Violence, and Trauma Informed Working to deliver training to a variety of different audiences. You will be delivering training on an ad-hoc basis, in a range of settings including corporate clients, public sector workers, and other charities.

We are seeking trainers with both frontline and training experience, who can deliver this type of content in compassionate, articulate and accessible ways both in person and online. Rise for Change is dedicated to creating learning spaces that are safe for all folks, in content and delivery style. 

Rise for Change is the training arm of Hope After Harm and currently provides domestic abuse, sexual harassment, and trauma-informed working training programmes for non-specialist professionals, however, we are aiming to expand our training offer to cover other areas of gender-based violence. Uniquely created by our subject matter experts, our training directly addresses the need for intersectional, and trauma informed training on gender-based violence for professionals in all sectors. We actively promote self-reflection, critical thinking and survivor voice to affect sustainable, inclusive change for survivors. Our aim is to empower participants, no matter their professional role, to be able to respond safely and appropriately to survivors both within the workplace and in the wider scope of their lives.

• Deliver specialist training about domestic abuse, gender-based violence and trauma informed working to a range of clients, primarily online with some face-to-face sessions.

This is what you will bring as a Specialist Trainer:

• A strong knowledge of domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence, it’s impacts and working from a trauma-informed perspective.
• Experience as a highly skilled trainer, with the ability to engage people through both in person and remote delivery.
• Preferably, frontline experience of supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
• Understanding of supporting survivors in various settings (e.g. the workforce, as a manager, as a professional with a safeguarding role).
• An empathetic, caring approach to training- to you, learning is not just about providing information but ensuring a holistic approach to the learning environment.
• Skilled user of technology with high literacy of key presenting programmes, video platforms and databases.
• Have a good understanding of the nuances of culture, race, sexual orientation and gender identity within domestic abuse and sexual violence, and be committed to intersectional ways of working.
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques and safeguarding procedures.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
• Places the survivor at the centre of all that you do.

For this role you will need:

• To be free from any criminal conviction which would conflict with the responsibilities of the post; you may be required to have a DBS Enhanced disclosure.
• To be able to deal with all information on a confidential basis and understand data protection requirements.
• To have Citizenship of the UK or have entitlement to work in the UK

About the Minster Centre

The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides training in psychotherapy and counselling and an affordable therapy service.

It was founded in 1978 as the first Integrative psychotherapy and counselling training in the UK and is a leading psychotherapy training institution. Now based in Queens Park, NW London, it runs training ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. Role purpose

The Minster Centre is seeking to develop and further professionalise its operations and is recruiting to a new Head of Finance role. This is a part-time, flexible role for two days per week in the first instance. Some time in the office will be needed to work alongside other staff and key stakeholders – this can be managed flexibly alongside working from home. The role would therefore suit someone who wants to balance an interesting and senior role alongside other responsibilities or interests.

The Head of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the charity, owning and ensuring compliance to financial policies and procedures. You will provide strategic financial guidance to the Management Committee and contribute to the delivery of the charity’s financial strategies.

Early priorities will be:

• A review of existing financial policies and procedures to support the ongoing effective running of the charity.

The Fundraising Executive (maternity cover) is a key part of our small but busy Community and Events Fundraising Team, leading on key fundraising events and activities, personally supporting individual fundraisers and giving support to the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager. We are recruiting Employment Advisors to join our IPS service, you will be based in the Tower Hamlets team, working 35 hours per week and co-located in a mental health treatment team within the Borough. This service was awarded the IPS Grow quality mark and 'Good' Fidelity in 2023 and adheres closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment. 

There are currently both permenant and fixed term contracts available. The fixed term contract ends 31st March 2026 (maternity cover).

Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.

You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, and showcase the advantages of our service in order to work with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.

You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

The role

Reporting

You will be a member of the PMO team, working closely with Icebreaker One’s project managers. You will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects and secretariat functions as directed by the Programme Director, Head of Project Management and the Programme and Policy Manager. 

Responsibilities

• Project administration

  • Creating meeting templates, slide decks and documents 

  • Attend meetings to take meeting minutes

  • Proof-reading project documents and artefacts

  • Assisting the project manager with task management using the Jira tool and preparing meeting agendas

• Icebreaker One secretariat administration for Steering and Advisory Groups

  • Preparation: 

    • Oversee diary management, meeting planning and scheduling

    • Creating Zoom meetings

    • Logistics, and room bookings for in person meetings/events

    • managing and updating attendee tracking lists

    • Prepare, collate and distribute meeting materials well in advance to attendees

    • Creating voting forms for items needing endorsement 

    • Ensuring co-chairs are supported in meeting logistics 

  • Execution

    • Host / managing Zoom/Teams for online meetings

    • Attend meetings to take meeting minutes, and post-meeting cleaning up the notes afterwards (for easy reading)

    • Writing, disseminating, and publishing Advisory and Steering Group minutes

  • Coordinating panellists, preparing agenda and slide deck templates

  • Managing Eventbrite & calendar invitations, Zoom administration

  • Assisting with the coordination of onsite logistics

First Give 

First Give is a national charity that empowers young people to make a positive difference to the causes they care about. We do this by partnering with secondary schools across England and Wales, delivering a fully resourced programme that inspires an entire year group to connect with local charities and take meaningful social action - from fundraising and volunteering to campaigning and raising awareness.

Each programme culminates in a celebratory School Final, where student teams present their projects to an audience of peers, teachers, and guests. The winning class is awarded a £1,000 First Give grant for their chosen charity - but every participating student contributes to their community and gains skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of social issues. This is an exciting time for First Give, as we have recently launched our three-year strategy and our ambition to activate the generosity of a million young people by 2034. In order to meet the requirements of the organisation for this ambitious growth a new 3 year fundraising strategy has been developed which includes expanding and diversifying our fundraising streams into Corporate and HNWI. We have also recently launched recruitment for a Fundraising Campaign Board Chair. The Campaign, A Route to A Million, aims to raise an additional £1.5 million over the next 3 years. Team Administrator

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated administrator who would like a varied role.  The successful candidate will provide cross-departmental support and administrative support to the Director and Senior Leadership Team. There is real scope for the candidate to shape the role and gain experience from involvement in various organisational projects. Key responsibilities

Providing support to the First Give team, primarily the SLT

• To be the first point of contact for enquiries to First Give by email and telephone
• Provide administrative support for First Gives Board of Trustees and SLT, including scheduling meetings and meeting minutes
• Supporting with communications to stakeholders e.g. schools, facilitators or funders as needed
• Managing First Gives relationship with external contractors such as printers and Salesforce support

Overseeing and managing financial administration

• Setting up and tracking payments to contractors and charities in our banking system ensuring timely completion
• Processing, reviewing and identifying outstanding invoices (including working closely with school finance departments to ensure timely payment of school contributions)
• Administering expenses and pre-paid card system, ensuring expenses are accurately recorded each month
• Provide regular monthly tracking reports on payments to the Director

Administering First Give’s charity grants

• Carrying out due diligence for winning charities to ensure comply with First Give donation rules
• Liaising with winning charities to arrange payment and ensuring accurate records of payments processed
• Running monthly reports on payments for the Director

Providing support to the Programmes team

• Supporting the Programmes team with recruitment of judges for school finals
• Managing First Give’s programme resources stock, ensuring we have enough programme documents and equipment to resource the programme
• Management of coursebook printing and distribution to schools
