About the role:

We are looking for an Assertive Outreach Worker to join us (on an up to 12 months maternity cover), stepping into a position that blends leadership, creativity and direct impact. In this role, you will hold a caseload of 15 clients across Westminster and temporary accommodation sites in boroughs across London, working as part of a close-knit, specialist team alongside four other Assertive Outreach Workers, a manager and a psychologist. Together, you will operate within psychologically and trauma-informed approaches, ensuring every interaction is purposeful, respectful and geared towards helping our clients take the next steps in their journey.

Your day will be as varied as it is rewarding - guiding clients to sustain their tenancies, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, engage with substance use support services, and access routes into employment. You will cultivate strong partnerships with local agencies, from statutory services to specialist providers, ensuring no opportunity for progress is missed. You will also play a crucial role in assessing needs, identifying risks and maintaining accurate, meaningful records that help shape the support we provide. About you:

• Understanding and experience of working with the issues faced by people who experience mental ill health, substance use issues, and who have offending histories, in accessing the appropriate support from services.
• A working knowledge of best practice to support individuals who may be classified as ‘experiencing multiple disadvantage’ including Trauma Informed Approaches.
• Experience working as part of a multi-agency partnership to address complex problems and bring about positive change.
• Familiarity with relevant housing, health and social justice legislation, policy and best practice relevant to systems change and people with multiple needs.
• A good and current understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures.

You will play a pivotal role in growing income across the Hospice and leading new, relationship-based approaches to fundraising.

With responsibility for Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, and Regular and Mid-Value Giving you will create and lead a new strategy to develop these areas and manage and grow a portfolio of high-value relationships.

You will also work hand in hand with Hospice colleagues to identify and curate exciting fundraising propositions, helping to raise strategic funds for our services.

As a leader in the fundraising team, you will provide coaching and management to your team and deputise for the Director Fundraising.

You will be central in forming close working relationships across the Hospice and with the Board of Trustees, enabling a whole hospice approach to fundraising.

• Fundraising Success: At least six years’ experience operating in a Major Gifts or Trusts and Foundations role and a track record of personally securing and stewarding five and six figure gifts
• Strategic thinker: Experience of researching, developing and implementing new strategies, and associated budgets and KPIs, and of developing portfolios, and prospect management tools
• Leading and inspiring: At least four years’ experience of inspiring, managing and developing 1+ line reports
• Proposition development: Creative in outlook and with experience of developing donor-centric fundraising propositions

About the role

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Engagement team as our Campaigns Manager. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will a hybrid position working between home and our office in King's Cross, London, with a minimum of 2 office days a week.

Sense campaigns to create a fairer society for disabled people and their families. Sense campaigns focus on the issues that matter most to the people we support, from the cost-of-living to social care. They are aimed at driving public awareness, engagement and positive change in people’s lives. We are looking for an experienced campaigner who is passionate about driving change, and able to lead organisational projects. You will play a leading role in campaign strategy for the organisation and help Sense really make an impact for disabled people and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the development and delivery of Sense campaigns, working alongside the Head of Media & Campaigns and Head of Policy, Public Affairs and Research.
• Decide on campaign priorities and make recommendations on the most appropriate course of actions to achieve Sense’s campaigning and influencing strategy.
• Ensure Sense has a consistent narrative and that disabled people and their families remain at the heart of our campaigns, that Sense is a sector leader in terms of campaigning, and that we are compliant with new charity regulations.
• Lead on the evaluation and reporting back of campaigns to the team and wider organisation.
• Provide leadership and expertise around campaigning strategy and management to senior management and trustees.
• Be an active member of the Media & Campaigns management team, ensuring team and project plans and budgets are developed, managed and reported against.

Key skills and experience

• A passion and commitment to Sense’s purpose and values, with a genuine interest in and understanding of the issues and policies affecting our work and the individuals we support.
• Significant experience of campaigning work, designed to achieve change, that generates support and mobilises supporters.
• Demonstrable ability to develop, maintain and negotiate effective working relationships with groups and individuals with differing perspectives and agendas, and of working with other organisations on joint campaigns and coalitions.
• Detailed understanding of online and offline campaigning techniques, and knowledge of using campaign planning tools to ensure the success of campaigns.
• Understanding of the value of involving disabled people and their families at all stages of campaigning.
• Ability to project manage, including personal time management, planning, implementing, devising and prioritising multiple projects to meet agreed deadlines and targets, overseeing work across teams and monitoring and evaluating quality and impact.

The role

We’re seeking a Senior Events Manager to join our dynamic and high-achieving Events team!

Following the success of our Charity of the Year partnership at the 2025 London Marathon, it’s a really exciting time to lead the team forward. Key areas of the role are:

• To lead the team to meet income targets through the delivery of an engaging Events portfolio
• To lead the development and implementation of plans, marketing materials, multi-channel campaigns and supporter journeys for Event participants
• To Manage and inspire the Events Managers and wider team

About You 

You’ll be passionate about Events fundraising and excited about joining a team who achieve excellent results. You’ll also have:

• Previous experience in leading a high-performing Events team
• Proven ability of creating annual budgets and regular reporting of income and expenditure
• Proven ability in developing over-arching plans for multi-channel (especially digital) Events marketing campaigns and supporter journeys
