Job Title: Deputy Service Manager (FTC)

Location: West London (This location is hidden due to the sensitive nature of the service) Please note that this service has no step free access.

Salary: £31,000 (Annual Salary)

Shift Pattern: 10 month (Fixed Term Contract) 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements and you will also be expected to take part in the out of hours on call service.

About the Role

We're hiring a Specialist Women’s Refuge Deputy Service Manager someone who is passionate about supporting women and their children and is committed to their rights and safety. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a refuge for women and children surviving domestic abuse, many of whom are living with trauma. You'll ensure the team are empowered, with the right tools and resources to deliver a seamless service that supports residents through their healing journey, helping them overcome personal challenges and work towards independence and their goals.

The service spans over 3 buildings and you will help lead a team of support mentors and children and family workers. We’re looking for a solution focused leader who is passionate about the resident group, committed to trauma informed and inclusive practice, and driven to make lasting change. You will ensure full contract and regulatory compliance while leading your team to meet KPIs and service requirements.

Some Key Responsibilities include:

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Service Manager to join our service based in Romford . Our service is a Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) based in Havering. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. 

You will also support some day-to-day team responsibilities, including providing tailored support directly to residents. As a Manager, you will help drive service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma‑ and psychologically informed environment. You will work collaboratively with the team, wider services, and external partners to ensure the service runs smoothly. The Patient Support Service provides practical, emotional and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. About the role

We are looking for a passionate and inspirational individual to lead our Patient Support service across Scotland & Northern Ireland. You and your team will reach kidney patients at their point of need and ensure they are supported or signposted to the services that will improve their wellbeing and maximise outcomes in line with the objectives of the service as directed by the Programme Manager/Head of Service. 

Alongside our other Regional Managers, you will be the national face of Kidney Care UK patient support services, raising awareness of the service and the Charity and building strong relationships with the kidney patients, renal units, Kidney Patient Associations (KPAs), health professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in your regions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five Patient Support Officer’s to deliver an accessible, valued and effective service across your designated region. Responsibility for the training, development and wellbeing of the regional team. 
• Lead the delivery of Kidney Care UK service and funder required outcomes into service delivery aligned with the Kidney Care Patient Support service strategy.
• Through in-person attendance at stakeholder events and meetings, build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers in health and care commissioning and delivery in your region.
• Develop and maintain effective monitoring and measurement to demonstrate the outputs and effectiveness of the service and its impact on patient experience and outcomes. 
• Using data and insight, report internally and externally with updates on regional issues, needs and challenges to inform service development.
• Manage the budget designated for your region, keeping accurate records of expenditure and reporting.
• Act as an organisational Designated Safeguarding Person in accordance with policy and procedures.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Understanding of the workings of NHS patient care pathways.
• Experience of delivering patient support services in a kidney or related health condition environment.
• Understanding of kidney disease and the needs of people with kidney disease, their families and their carers.
• The ability to influence, inspire and effectively manage a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, with experience in building credibility with senior external stakeholders and managing relationships with diplomacy.

Experience of working within an NHS charity or large health related fundraising environment is highly desirable,as is understanding of relevant UK benefits legislation and entitlements.

Location: Based within a non-residential service in Wembley, working within communities, homes, and other residentials. This service does have step free access however we are unable to guarantee this at some of the other locations where the role is based such as homes and community based locations.

About the Role

Daylight Women’s Day Centre is an exciting new service providing a place of safety and support for women who are long term rough sleepers in London. We want to reach women who have experienced abuse, mental illness, addiction, poor physical health, unclear immigration status and homelessness.  Our support will improve their health and wellbeing and enable them to move away from the streets.

Daylight has been designed based on findings from the CHAIN rough sleeping data for London and the Women’s Rough Sleeping Census.  This evidence highlights the importance of single gender services for women who hide from mainstream provision dominated by men.  Daylight will reflect the Connection Theory of Change, building relationships of trust with people who have no confidence in most health and social care services.  Therefore Trauma Informed Care lies at the heart of everything we do.

You will manage a team of staff and volunteers to set up, pilot and deliver this vital new service in a central London location.  The service will include a combination of practical facilities such as showers and a laundry, health and wellbeing resources to minimise the harm associated with rough sleeping and support to move into accommodation.  We may develop additional aspects to the service as resources become available.

The Role

This is a management position, known internally as Head of Therapeutic Services, with both strategic and clinical responsibility. About the role

CoramBAAF’s membership is central to the organisation’s aims and activities. The Substance Misuse Service at HMP Brixton delivers psychosocial interventions within an integrated healthcare framework known as the New Models of Care (NMOC). Working in partnership with healthcare providers and criminal justice agencies, we support individuals with drug and alcohol issues through a trauma-informed, recovery-focused approach.

Based within HMP Brixton, a men's Category C resettlement prison in South London, this role will work across our London prison services, supporting the delivery of high-quality treatment programmes and driving key strategic projects that improve outcomes for service users.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for service improvement, partnership working and recovery-focused practice to play a key role in shaping the future of substance misuse services across the London region.

About the Role

As Regional Projects and Service Improvement Lead, you will work closely with the Regional Manager and London Leadership Team to lead and deliver strategic projects that support organisational priorities, improve service performance and enhance service user outcomes.

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing projects through to successful completion, ensuring objectives are achieved and sustainable improvements are embedded across services.

Key priorities will include:

• Driving recruitment and retention initiatives across London services, reducing vacancy levels and supporting workforce stability.
• Improving continuity of care performance across the region, ensuring individuals receive effective support as they transition from custody into community treatment services.
• Supporting the delivery and development of high-quality therapeutic programmes, including The Bridge and Stepping Stones, with a particular focus on HMP Brixton.
• Leading preparations for establishment changes, including prison re-role activity, service mobilisation and contractual developments.
• Overseeing the effectiveness of regional administration functions, ensuring NDTMS and other key performance data are accurate, timely and compliant with national and local reporting requirements.

Continuity of Care Responsibilities

You will take a lead role in strengthening continuity of care pathways by:

• Conducting release and pre-release audits to ensure compliance with NDTMS requirements and continuity of care standards.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with community treatment providers and local authority partners.
• Establishing and chairing continuity of care forums and partnership meetings.
• Monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement and sharing best practice across services.
• Supporting regional audits and quality assurance activity.
• Working closely with Health and Justice partners, NHSE and OHID to implement initiatives that improve continuity of care outcomes. 

The role requires flexibility and may include occasional evening or weekend working. Travel across London prison services and other regional projects will also be required.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional with a strong background in substance misuse services, service improvement and partnership working.

You will bring:

• A thorough understanding of drug and alcohol treatment services, including addiction treatment programmes, ideally within prison or criminal justice settings.
• Experience of developing, implementing and embedding service improvements that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrable experience of managing people, performance and change effectively.
• Experience of collecting, analysing and reporting data for audit, quality assurance and performance monitoring purposes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify priorities and implement practical solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across a range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of psychosocial interventions, 12-step approaches and community treatment provision.

About the Independent Service Manager role

We are looking for an experienced childcare professional to manage our England wide service for complaints under the Children Act (1989) and Independent Person service for Secure Accommodation Reviews for children placed in secure children’s home under section 25 of the Children Act (1989).

The role will be responsible for the delivery of this national service managing a group of committed and dedicated Associate Independent Persons, as well as managing the relationships with our commissioning authorities. You will have the credibility to work at a management level, and the skills and experience in the sector to support and manage people, relationships with commissioners whilst maintaining high standards of professional practice.

We want a leader who will build and develop our team of associate Independent Persons who act as Investigating Officers, Independent Persons, Stage 3 Panel chairs and panel members for Children Act (1989) complaints against local authorities, and Independent Persons for Secure Accommodation Reviews.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring excellent service delivery that meets internal and external performance measures. They will hold responsibility for quality assuring work undertaken via contact with Independent Persons and scrutiny of investigation reports.

This post will be home based (with access to our attractive Central London offices for those who wish to do so).
