Client Involvement Manager

We are seeking an experienced Client Involvement Manager to ensure lived experience shapes services, decisions and positive change across Depaul UK.

Position: Client Involvement Manager
Salary: £39,080 per annum
Location: Flexible across London, Manchester or the North East

About the role

Depaul UK is looking for a Client Involvement Manager to champion co-production and ensure the voices of young people and adults experiencing homelessness influence the services and decisions that affect them.

You will lead and develop client involvement across Depaul UK, creating meaningful opportunities for people with lived experience to contribute, influence and take an active role in shaping the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

· Leading and developing client involvement and co-production across Depaul UK

· Supporting and developing The Voice, Depaul UK's client-led group

· Creating opportunities for people with lived experience to influence services and decision-making

· Building clients' confidence and capacity to participate

· Developing client representative, volunteering and alumni opportunities

· Supporting and upskilling colleagues to embed client involvement within everyday practice

· Building relationships with local and national client forums and key stakeholders

· Supporting a small caseload of client representatives

· Monitoring and evaluating the impact of involvement activity

· Producing reports and presenting updates to senior leaders and Trustees

· Ensuring involvement activity reflects safeguarding requirements and relevant regulatory guidance

About you

You will have significant experience of client involvement, co-production, participation or engagement, with a track record of enabling people who use services to have a meaningful voice and influence.

You will understand how to build confidence and capacity, create inclusive opportunities for participation and support colleagues to embed client involvement within service development.

An excellent communicator and relationship-builder, you will be comfortable working with clients, colleagues, senior leaders, Trustees and external stakeholders.

You will also have experience of safeguarding and risk assessment, strong organisational and IT skills and a clear understanding of professional boundaries.

Above all, you will believe that services are stronger when the people who use them have a genuine role in shaping them.

About the Patient Support Service

The Patient Support Service provides practical, emotional and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. Whatever the need presented, we empower people living with CKD and their families and carers to understand their options and make informed choices to positively navigate their experience of CKD. About the role

We are looking for a passionate and inspirational individual to lead our Patient Support service across Scotland & Northern Ireland. You and your team will reach kidney patients at their point of need and ensure they are supported or signposted to the services that will improve their wellbeing and maximise outcomes in line with the objectives of the service as directed by the Programme Manager/Head of Service. 

Alongside our other Regional Managers, you will be the national face of Kidney Care UK patient support services, raising awareness of the service and the Charity and building strong relationships with the kidney patients, renal units, Kidney Patient Associations (KPAs), health professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in your regions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five Patient Support Officer’s to deliver an accessible, valued and effective service across your designated region. Responsibility for the training, development and wellbeing of the regional team. 
• Lead the delivery of Kidney Care UK service and funder required outcomes into service delivery aligned with the Kidney Care Patient Support service strategy.
• Through in-person attendance at stakeholder events and meetings, build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers in health and care commissioning and delivery in your region.
• Develop and maintain effective monitoring and measurement to demonstrate the outputs and effectiveness of the service and its impact on patient experience and outcomes. 
• Using data and insight, report internally and externally with updates on regional issues, needs and challenges to inform service development.
• Manage the budget designated for your region, keeping accurate records of expenditure and reporting.
• Act as an organisational Designated Safeguarding Person in accordance with policy and procedures.

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Understanding of the workings of NHS patient care pathways.
• Experience of delivering patient support services in a kidney or related health condition environment.
• Understanding of kidney disease and the needs of people with kidney disease, their families and their carers.
• The ability to influence, inspire and effectively manage a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to listen, with experience in building credibility with senior external stakeholders and managing relationships with diplomacy.

Experience of working within an NHS charity or large health related fundraising environment is highly desirable,as is understanding of relevant UK benefits legislation and entitlements.

Please note: You must live within one of the regions (Scotland or Northern Ireland) and have the ability to travel within those regions independently and on a regular basis. There may also be some travel across the UK.

About the Independent Service Manager role

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage our England wide service for complaints under the Children Act (1989) and Independent Person service for Secure Accommodation Reviews for children placed in secure children’s home under section 25 of the Children Act (1989).

The role will be responsible for the delivery of this national service managing a group of committed and dedicated associate Independent Persons, as well as managing the relationships with our commissioning authorities.You will have the credibility to work at a management level, and the skills and experience in the sector to support and manage people, relationships with commissioners whilst maintaining high standards of professional practice.

Service Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Service Development Manager to work closely with the CEO to establish and deliver a strong presence across Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

Position: Service Development Manager

Location: Remote/Gloucestershire, with regular travel across Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury and occasional attendance at the Stroud office

Hours: Part-time, 30 hours per week

Salary: £38,000 pro rata (£30,811 actual salary for 30 hours per week)

Contract: 24-month fixed-term contract

The Role

This is a hands-on role combining direct family support, project management, service development and partnership building. You will hold an appropriate caseload, develop new activity, build strong local referral pathways and help turn the countywide plans into practical support for families.

We need someone who is confident working independently, takes ownership, builds relationships quickly and can find practical solutions when there is no obvious route forward. The initial focus will be Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury, but the role is designed to evolve as our countywide work develops.
