Responsibilities:

These include

1. To actively seek a thorough understanding of the membership base and the issues affecting them, creating member profiles and advising and briefing stakeholders accordingly.
2. To develop a compelling offer by profile / career stage so as to maintain and improve member retention and engagement levels, and to maximise new member acquisition.
3. To maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of services and activities and ensure these are being packaged and communicated in the most effective way.
4. To oversee the implementation of regular market research, including competitor analysis, to identify members/stakeholder needs, to support the rationale for the development of member products and services, and to liaise with and advise other stakeholders as appropriate.
5. To develop member communications in particular around membership renewals and the on-boarding of new members, and to ensure a high-quality member experience.
6. To ensure that membership communications at all touch points within the membership journey or as part of a non-member relationship, remain relevant and up to date.
7. To oversee the new member and renewal process, which is managed by our external partner, and troubleshoot and resolve issues that they cannot

Personal Specification: 

Essential skills, knowledge and qualities: 

1. Experience of working in a customer, member or client facing role
2. Experience of developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with a range of stakeholders
3. Experience of using a CRM management system, preferably Salesforce
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to positively communicate with a wide range of people in a professional setting, with demonstrable ability to communicate effectively in challenging situations
5. Excellent planning, coordination, organisational and time management skills

We are looking for an individual who shares these values for the role of Operations Manager; to oversee the day-to-day running of our services, leading and supporting the volunteers to do this, ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety & food hygiene standards, support the Project Director to achieve agreed outcomes and goals.

We are currently looking at expanding our services by adding an additional service day a week on Tuesdays. This role provides the unique opportunity to be a part of the creation of this service.

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated fundraiser to join our successful team as we embark on a major capital campaign (NHM150) to raise £150m to transform our South Kensington site ahead of our 150th anniversary. Role Requirements

You will play a vital role in coordinating care and supporting the management of the House, serving as a key contact for families and the multidisciplinary team. Battersea has entered an exciting phase of innovation and transformation as we embark on the first year of our new five-year strategy. With increased investment in income generation starting in 2025, we are expanding our team to drive the growth necessary to achieve our organisational goals.

Trust fundraising at Battersea has grown significantly over the past few years, from £1m in 2022 to £2.75m in 2025. Working closely with the Trusts Officer and Trusts Lead, you will secure vital funding from Trusts and Foundations to support the welfare of dogs and cats across the UK and internationally.

As the Trusts Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of five-figure Trust donors and take ownership of relationships to secure funding from both existing and new supporters. You will also support the Trusts Officer to deliver bi-annual Small Trusts Mailings and the Trusts Lead to deliver significant partnerships.

You will be proactive and motivated, with a passion for animal welfare and an aptitude for building relationships. You are a strong communicator with excellent writing skills which will enable you - with support from the team - to craft compelling funding proposals that resonate with donors.
