Summary

We are seeking a proactive and diligent Compliance Officer to join our Recruitment and Operations team. You will be responsible for providing a robust compliant onboarding service for all successful applicants to our awardwinning Tutoring Programmes; ensuring all candidates are ready and fully eligible to start their delivering tuition sessions in colleges across the country. The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end onboarding process and ensure all pre-employment checks meet the standards required by Get Further and safer recruitment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance and Onboarding:

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all pre-employment checks (Right to Work, DBS, references, and safeguarding requirements) are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate and secure records in line with GDPR and safer recruitment practices.
• Oversee the offboarding process where appropriate Safeguarding and Quality Assurance
• Ensure all safeguarding requirements are met and documented within our CRM system.
• Monitor compliance requirements and ensure continuous alignment with safer recruitment policies.
• Work closely with the Head of Recruitment to deliver in line with Get Further’s five-year strategy.

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

• Manage tutor communications during the onboarding stage, ensuring candidate enquiries are responded to promptly via the shared mailbox.
• Liaise with College HR departments, providing assurance letters and compliance information for tutors.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth onboarding and cross-team coordination.
• Support the onboarding process by reviewing and collating documentation and references.
• Ensure all Right to Work (RTW) checks are completed accurately and renewed and in a timely manner.
• Oversee the processing and verification of enhanced DBS checks, tutor reference requests and Social online Media checks.
• Ensure all safeguarding requirements are met and documented within our CRM database.

• Manage our Tutor Training booking process.

About the role

Individual giving is a fantastic, high performing team, generating over £20 million fundraised income per year. Your role will be pivotal in helping to support the delivery of our fundraising strategy, budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns to generate income both now and for the future.

About you

A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing relationships with key external agencies and in house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns while closely monitoring and ensuring they are delivered to budget. You’ll have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to optimise performance.

About the opportunity
Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider Philanthropy Department, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will identify and cultivate fruitful partnerships with a range of small, medium and large businesses.

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis as a result of immigration issues. The role of a Project Officer

Whilst this role will predominantly be in the East of the region, you will need to be prepared to work all over the South East should the need arise. River enhancement projects will typically include weir removals, fish passage easements (such as rock ramps, nature-like bypasses or technical fish passes) and river re-naturalisation projects (such as habitat enhancements, reconnecting floodplains & palaeochannels, re-meandering, and backwater creation). Catchment management projects are likely to include wetland creation, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and Natural Flood Management (NFM) measures. We would be interested to know about any experience you have in the above fields when you apply.

Using your freshwater expertise and proven ability, you will proactively lead on smaller and medium scale projects while working closely with other staff, external partners and stakeholders. We are seeking an experienced fundraiser who can work with us on a part time, freelance basis (Sept/Oct 2025 - January 2026) for a fee of £16Kto produce and undertake the following specialist services:

• Research and produce a bespoke 18-month Fundraising Plan for the Trust, with a particular focus on Museums, collections, community engagement, conservation and organisational resilience.

• Deliver finance business partnering services, including: budget setting, business case review, aiding comprehension of financial reports, financial approver maintenance, monthly forecasting, and providing advice and insight to budget holders.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to stakeholders in the partnered units.  This will often include a combination of financial and non-financial data to deliver information that improves decision making and planning.
• Following the agreed timetable, produce accurate monthly forecasts for the partnered units.  Follow consistent processes and templates, and engage constructively with efforts to improve the efficiency of those processes.
• For the partnered units, maintain an accurate record of financial approvers on the finance system.  This includes making any necessary changes, and regularly monitoring the financial approvers to ensure they are correct.
• Review, and seek regular feedback from stakeholders on, the usefulness of the suite of financial reports available to budget holders.  Pass feedback to the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering and the Head of Financial Reporting & Analysis.
• Using the suite of training materials developed by senior members of the team, deliver regular training to budget holders in the partnered units.

Our partner is seeking a consultant to conduct a review of its finance function, including structure, processes and systems with a view of improving effectiveness and efficiency. This exercise stems from the fact that the finance function of the organisation has developed organically over the course of the organisation’s life and growth, covering the expansion of programmes and the opening of new administrative offices.

Scope of the Review

• Review of the current structure - assess what functions are best delivered in each location, the skillset of finance staff and what capacity is needed in each location to deliver these services.
• Review of the processes and systems; and make recommendations on how processes might be streamlined to address bottlenecks and streamline these.
• Advise on how the finance function might operate more effectively as a global function
• Advise on what IT/systems solutions might further improve efficiency

Requirements

• A qualified senior finance professional with experience of change management within an international not for profit, specifically reviewing the structure of the finance function, undertaking in-depth review and analysis of global processes and systems.
• Experience of working in a complex grant-funded environment with knowledge of full grants cycle management.
• Strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

They anticipate this project to start in October 2025, ending in December 2025. The postholder will be working closely with the COO who has a vision of what the change process will entail, alongside two other significant pieces of work the organisation is undertaking at the same time.

Day rate commensurate based on experience.
