Person Specification:
Essential
- Experience providing services to vulnerable service users, listening and supporting in a non-judgemental way.
- Knowledge and insight into state benefits and complementary support services (whether national / local / statutory agencies.

- The ability to build a practical plan alongside a service user and adapt approach to different circumstances and personalities.

Often the first point of contact for our clients in Lambeth and Southwark, the Information and Advice Service aims to provide support for residents who may be experiencing social-isolation, low mood, anxiety or depression. The service handles over 1500 enquiries a year from people seeking support for a range of issues including welfare benefits, housing and homelessness, advocacy, family support, disability and legal advice in addition to accessing our mental health and befriending services.
As one of two Advice Service Coordinators, you’ll support volunteers to ensure that the service is running efficiently. You will be in regular contact with clients both interested in and accessing the service to make sure they have adequate support. This may include referrals and signposting to additional or alternative mental health and social support services.
You’ll also maintain the online Community Information Network (COIN) directory, which includes vocational and social opportunities for adults with long term health conditions who are looking for paid work, to move closer to their vocational goals or consider social and leisure opportunities.
Applicants should have experience of providing specialist advice in benefits and housing, managing a diverse caseload and providing advocacy, and possess effective communication skills. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

The Programme Manager will deliver a personal development journey to young people using snowsports as the hook to engage those who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision. We do this in partnership with youth projects and youth service providers across London, running snowsports youth programmes from The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties in South West London. About the role
Location: Home based in Gwent
You will be a systems leader, influencing, networking, and collaborating with our partner organisations. You will also be actively contributing to the regional Dementia Standards workstreams, ensuring we support the delivery of the Wales Dementia Action Plan Gwent.
As a Local Services Manager you will provide leadership and management to local service teams, holding responsibility for the management and delivery of specific contracts, while supporting the Country Manager – Local Services to deliver the Alzheimer’s Society’s Help & Hope strategy.
You will lead the local delivery of services across a designated area, ensuring that those services are of high quality, person centred, safe and that people affected by dementia are at the heart of all service delivery.
You will have direct line management responsibility for a staff team who provide support and guidance to people with dementia using a person-centred approach.
The Local Services Manager will report directly to the Country Manager and will be a member of the Wales management team. There will be a requirement for travel across the designated area with expenses paid in accordance with our expenses policy.

Finance and operations manager – Job Description
We are seeking a thoughtful, compassionate, and experienced finance and operations manager. This is a new role in an expanding team that will contribute to the senior leadership of the organisation and be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the charity, with a focus on financial management.
Our new Finance and Operations Manager will work closely with the CEO to set and manage the organisation’s strategic plan, drive strategic initiatives, manage resources, and foster a positive and reflective workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors.

Coordinate annual financial audits and ensure timely submission of annual accounts to the Charity Commission.

Open 365 days a year and operations from 9AM to 11PM, the Access Line provides support for those struggling with their mental health or experiencing a crisis. This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership and supervision to a number of therapeutic services within Richmond Borough Mind. Our developed and respected Psychotherapy and Counselling Service has been providing long-term counselling interventions to local residents since 1988. The service is self-funded and offers a range of therapies which aim to provide individuals with the support and opportunity to work through their difficulties in depth with a skilled and experienced trainee or fully qualified therapist. Sliding scale rates are offered to make sure that we are accessible to all. We also run a number of therapeutic, psychoeducational, support and peer-led one to one sessions and groups, training workshops and other activities.
We are looking for a skilled and qualified (or in advance training) counselling supervisor to provide clinical supervision, leadership, management and service development of our Psychotherapy and Counselling service. Knowledge and understanding of a number of modalities would be an asset. Part of the role will be to help us achieve and maintain BACP or equivalent service accreditation and to grow the service.
As well as having an empathy with the core values of RB Mind, the successful applicant will be a confident and versatile communicator with outstanding relationship-building, organisational and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to provide empathy and guided support to staff, volunteer counsellors, administrators and clients. As a Recovery service facilitator, you’ll be a key point of contact within the Recovery service.
Your responsibilities will focus around designing, delivering, evaluating, reporting and the continuous development of structured learning programmes for people with mental ill health. You will help shape the ongoing vision and goals of the Recovery College to ensure that future development of the service meets the needs of the people it supports. You will also participate in external forums, workshops and events to promote the work and ethos of Mind in Bexley.
Key Responsibilities
1. Make a positive contribution to the delivery of a thriving, innovative and effective Recovery College.
2. As part of the Recovery College team, deliver both face to face and online courses, workshops and groups according to curriculum requirements.
3. As required, design, deliver and evaluate courses, workshops and groups ensuring co-production at each stage.
4. Ensure effective learning takes place by using evidence based interventions, appropriate teaching methods and learning processes.
5. Demonstrate effectiveness by achieving high levels of student retention, measuring impact, increased involvement of participants and positive individual progress.
6. Contribute to the development of best practice within the service.
7. Undertake student assessments and regularly review individual progress.
8. Support individual students in setting learning goals and participating in workshops, courses and groups to ensure positive learning outcomes.
9. Keep accurate and up to date records of students including attendance, assessments, progress and impact measures.
10. Signpost and refer students to internal and external services when appropriate.
11. Ensure individual inclusion, accessibility and other needs are met.
12. Provide students with information and advice on further learning and progression opportunities including volunteering and support into employment

Working alongside colleagues in the wider HR function, as HR Shared Services Manager you will lead a small HR services team to provide an effective and efficient end-to-end employee lifecycle service to the organisation. With a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience and a drive to achieve continual improvement, this is a diverse, operationally orientated and fast paced role that requires accuracy and an in-depth understanding of HR policies and processes.
Key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Managing and developing the HR Services team in the delivery of high quality, consistent daily HR support for all employee lifecycle processes, systems and activities
- Continually driving process improvements, identifying issues and working with HR colleagues and wider teams to deliver solutions
- Identifying and introducing service levels (SLAs) to meet work volumes and stakeholder needs
- Overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of employee lifecycle data entry into Workday
- Producing reports and other MI to monitor consistency and support improvements to services delivered by the team
- Coaching and motivating the team, identifying training and development opportunities to optimise performance to maximise potential
To be considered you will require:
- A track record of delivering process improvements in a customer-focused HR Shared Services environment, operating at managerial, or supervisory level
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to engage and motivate a team to deliver an excellent service
- Experience of developing SLA's with a continuous improvement approach
- A naturally inquisitive, creative and proactive approach to problem solving and initiating solutions
- Confident stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with the ability to confidently challenge
- Excellent IT skills and experience of working with an HRIS (Workday would be ideal)
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law
