Other Duties

Requirements

• Must have a current NMC registration with no restrictions on their practice or caution order attachment.
• Min 5-year post reg. experience, within a clinically relevant field: including caseload management
• Be able to provide at least two professional references from your last place of work as a nurse or midwife.
• Please note that a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required.
• Demonstrate a willingness to attend all mandatory training relevant to their role
• Must be flexible to work locally or remotely, and willing to travel to attend support groups, conferences, and events.
• Minimum 1 day/week helpline +/- cover as needed.
• Mandatory staff meeting days in the office (Leamington Spa) 4 times a year.

About the job

We are looking to recruit a Grants and Foundations Officer to join Caritas Salford’s fundraising team. As a Grants and Foundations Officer, you will work closely with senior managers and service managers, researching potential funders, securing funding from trusts, foundations and other potential funding partners. We will support your development, helping you grow your fundraising skills, take on complex projects and help shape bids for commissioned services.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong research and analytical expertise, be highly organised and confident in using IT systems and digital tools for research, communication and data management. We are seeking a Community Development Officer to lead a major in-progress project improving recognition, support, and care for people with smell and taste disorders at a local level across England. 

This three-year, volunteer-led programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund has achieved significant success in its first eighteen months. We are now recruiting a new postholder to take this strong foundation forward through the next phase of delivery. 

Over the past eighteen months, we have recruited and established a thriving network of volunteers and local groups across England. This momentum is expected to continue. The Community Development Officer will work closely with existing volunteers and groups, primarily remotely, while also attending in-person events and meetings in different parts of England as needed. 

The postholder will lead the ongoing recruitment, training, and support of volunteer groups, working with them to identify opportunities for local outreach and engagement. Together, you will ensure that more people affected by smell and taste disorders access the information, support, and recognition they need, while continuing to raise awareness of these often-unrecognised sensory impairments. 

Our volunteer groups bring together people with lived experience alongside experts from the food, beverage and fragrance sectors, and other relevant fields.

Role Purpose:

The post-holder will be based at GMRC but work alongside TRC and MASH women’s services and work within the pathfinder partnership, across all partner organisations, providing high quality, evidence based, low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based interventions using a guided self-help model, to clients with who have experienced sexual trauma but also have additional mental health needs.

We’re looking for someone to provide operational leadership for our Carer Support Service, ensuring safe, consistent, and compassionate handling of enquiries and triage aligned with our service model.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing our Carer Support Line and initial triage, ensuring informed and proportionate decisions.
• Managing daily enquiry flow, guide team members, and coordinate early intervention cases for appropriate allocation.
• Holding a mixed caseload, including mid- high complexity cases, and act as deputy operational lead when required.

Every year in the UK thousands of unpaid carers look after someone with dementia but receive little or no support. At Dementia Carers Count, we stand for them. We campaign for change and provide practical, emotional and financial support to dementia carers across the UK.

We’re looking for someone with a breadth of experience, who has a willingness to support others and learn new skills. The role can be based anywhere in the UK, with attendance at occasional in -person team meetings in London.

REMAP is a unique national charity. It brings together two groups of people: volunteers skilled at making things and disabled people who need specialist equipment. Each year, around 3,000 pieces of custom-made equipment help transform the lives of disabled people.

REMAP’s army of ingenious inventors designs and makes equipment for young and old alike and then provides it free of charge. The aim is always to help people achieve quality of life, filling the gap where no suitable equipment is available commercially.

The Role

The Volunteer Recruitment Officer role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability and is pivotal in ensuring our branches have the volunteers and guidance they need to support our clients going forward.

This is both an internal and external-facing role, focused on recruiting volunteers and developing initiatives that will streamline how we recruit and welcome new volunteers into our network of branches.

We are seeking an experienced volunteering officer, who has a strong background in both volunteer recruitment and project delivery. Experience in being part of a team going through a change programme involving volunteers is advantageous. You will thrive in a busy environment, have excellent people skills and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with project delivery and innovation. Building on the strategy that has already been prepared for you, you will work closely with our Volunteer Administration Officer and our Operations Manager to help REMAP support our branches across the UK.

About You

We want you to bring relevant experience, passion, dedication, creativity, and flair to our work.

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and be comfortable working with a diverse range of volunteers/people. As a self-starter, you can work at pace and quickly assess and deliver to changing priorities in a busy remote team. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to coordinate multiple tasks/activities and have the flexibility to respond to changing demands.

You will be proactive, enthusiastic, and excited about joining an organisation with ambitious plans to future-proof its services and reach more disabled people. Experience working in a remote environment is highly desirable.

Additional information about the role

Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 1/2 nights away for year-round events.

Working Hours: 22 hrs (pattern to be discussed)

Salary: 13,400 - £15,000 (actual salary), dependent on experience

Holiday entitlement: Begins at 25 days per annum (pro-rata), in addition to public holidays.
