Responsible to the CEO, you will work across the charity, acting as secretary to our board of Trustees, responsible for HR and payroll function, act as line manager to two administrators, and add to the sustainability of the organisation by writing and submitting robust trust funding applications.

SCM has six members of staff, all but one of whom are part time, and achieves a great deal. Supporting progressive Christian students and members across the country to put their faith into action, no two weeks are ever the same. We are a dynamic and energetic organisation, working to challenge injustice and exclusion, grow thoughtful disciples and create community.

Each SCM community is different, but students can expect to find a warm welcome as well as activities including bible study, prayer, campaigns and social action, talks, discussions, and socials. About the Role
 
Responsibilities will include:

• Support the Local Quality and Improvement Manager in delivering key Local Offer programmes, such as the Peer Review and Peer Network Programme, helping Local Authorities and organisations meet the needs of young people and fulfil their Statutory Duty (Section 507B).
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of traded services related to Quality Standards and Organisational Development, ensuring high-quality support for partners.
• Contribute to the development, quality assurance, and standardisation of NYA resources related to Quality Standards, working collaboratively across NYA teams.
• Promote NYA standards and resources to the sector, offering support and training to encourage adoption and effective use.
• Identify and deliver support to non-commercial requests, including those from VCSE organisations and Town and Parish Councils seeking information, advice, and guidance.
• Engage with the Local Policy & Partnerships Manager and the NYA Knowledge Team to gather and share sector insights, promoting knowledge exchange across NYA teams and the wider youth work sector.
• Support collaboration with Local Authorities and partner organisations to raise awareness of NYA programmes and encourage engagement with Quality Standards.
• Utilise NYA tools, including CRM and Project Management systems, to help generate timely and relevant performance and financial reports that inform decision-making and support effective programme delivery.

 
Our ideal Local Quality Advisor should have the following:

• Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery of programmes or projects within the youth work, education, or voluntary sector.
• Strong understanding of youth work principles and the statutory duties of Local Authorities (particularly Section 507B).
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including Local Authorities, partner organisations, and internal teams.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to the development of resources and reports.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Competence in using digital tools such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and project management platforms. Experience of using project management platform (or similar) would be an advantage
• A proactive, flexible, and agile approach to working across multiple programmes, including attending events and responding to time-sensitive deadlines.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic and evolving organisation.

Your new role
The Human Resources Division supports all people management activities across the school and is committed to delivering high-quality and customer-focused services. Reporting to the Director, HR Policy and Employee Relations, this post is responsible for maintaining existing HR policies and contributing to the development of new policy in consultation with a wide range of HR colleagues and stakeholders across the School.
This role also supports the development and implementation of key employee engagement and wellbeing projects. This includes playing an important role in developing and implementing initiatives and actions that emerge from staff feedback and annual benchmark reports. The post-holder will present a positive and efficient image of the Human Resources Division, working collaboratively with colleagues inside and outside the Division in order to deliver high-quality solutions that contribute towards the School's strategic agenda.Key responsibilities will include:

Policy Development:

• To stay informed of new legislative developments and ensure that appropriate revisions to HR policy are made accordingly, as well as working with the Director, HR Policy and Employee Relations to ensure that the wider HR Division is aware of the changes.
• To undertake appropriate policy benchmarking across the sector and with other leading organisations (both public and private).
• To support in ensuring that the university has a set of up-to-date and appropriate HR / employment policies and that these are accessible to staff and line managers, maintaining a regular programme of monitoring, review and improvement.
• To contribute to the development of discussion papers, with appropriate recommendations, for consideration by the HR Management Board, School Management Committee (SMC) and trade unions.

• To support ongoing activities relating to staff engagement and wellbeing, e.g. related projects, events and initiatives.

• To support the Director, HR Policy and Employee Relations in monitoring the progress of both individual projects and progress against over-arching action plans, e.g. the School's Gender Pay Gap report.

• Previous experience of working in a large HR department supporting a complex and diverse organisation
• Can demonstrate a sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR good practice, with experience of advising colleagues and managers on HR policy and procedure
• Experience of developing or contributing to HR policies across a range of topics
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience of servicing committees and/or organising events

Overview / purpose of the role

We’re looking for a Finance & Operations Officer who is interested in developing a career in bookkeeping and/or accountancy within the nonprofit sector. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a finance or operations role who is looking to build on that foundation and grow their skills in a mission-driven organisation.

The Finance & Operations Officer is a central resource within CGP, working with colleagues in the Operations Team, and across the organisation to provide financial and operational support to all areas of our work. They will work closely with the Head of Operations & Evaluation to process invoices, expenses and conduct weekly payment runs, ensuring that all financial policies and procedures are carefully adhered to. They will also support colleagues to follow our financial policies and processes and act as the first point of contact for any questions on these procedures. Responsibilities

Finance

• Managing our accounts payable inbox, monitoring all incoming invoices and following up with team members on any missing information if required

• Processing and coding invoices  in Xero accounting software ahead of weekly payment runs

• Checking that correct coding and approval procedures are followed for staff expenses

• Conducting weekly payment runs via our online banking system

• Coordinating our monthly payroll processes (working with external providers)

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance to support the development of funding proposals

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance to support financial reporting on grants for external donors

• Supporting the Head of Operations & Evaluation and Director of Finance with general financial administration, record keeping and tracking budgets

• Provide training on expense and invoicing processes to new members of staff and generally acting as the first point of contact for all staff on any finance procedure questions (full training will be provided)

• Supporting the Senior Management Team (SMT) and our Director of Finance to develop the annual organisational budget and report against it quarterly

• Providing budgeting support as required for colleagues internally 

Office Management & General Operational Support

• Acting as the key point of contact between CGP & our coworking office space (organising memberships, meeting room bookings, invoices, printing credits, equipment, internal events etc.)

• Organising post, stationery supplies and managing stocks of office equipment

• Maintain/organise our filing and cloud storage systems logically and efficiently, in a data protection compliant manner.

• Ad hoc IT support as required, including online troubleshooting and logging support requests with service providers when necessary.

• General administrative support to the CEO and Head of Operations & Evaluation

Human Resources

• Support with recruitment processes within CGP, including assisting members of the team to schedule and coordinate job interviews, contact candidates and file incoming applications. 

• Working with the Head of Operations & Evaluation to organise internal events like team away days and staff team building activities.

Person specification

The right candidate will bring some prior experience in a relevant role, alongside enthusiasm for nonprofit finance and operations. They will have an aptitude for maths and finance,  excellent attention to detail and a meticulous, methodical approach to work and troubleshooting.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 1–2 years of experience in a finance, bookkeeping, administrative, or operations role

• Is interested in building a career in nonprofit finance and is open to pursuing further financial training

• Is broadly supportive of UK Aid 

• Is an independent worker, self-starter who can take responsibility for projects through to completion

• Has excellent IT skills, proficient with MS Office programmes (particularly Excel) and Google Workspace, and the ability to learn to use new software as required (for example, Xero, Soldo and Salesforce)

• Has great people skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders

Overview of the Regional Coordinator role and the team

The Regional Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Barnabas Aid by

building and nurturing relationships with churches, Christian organisations, and

individuals. The role aims to raise awareness, prayer, and financial support for the

persecuted church, fostering a network of engaged supporters and expanding the

organisation’s outreach.

Main duties and responsibilities

Strategy Implementation and Reporting:o Develop and execute regional outreach strategies aligned with organisational

goals.

o Monitor and evaluate engagement initiatives, providing regular updates and

reports.

o Maintain accurate records of engagements and donor activities using internal

systems.

Prayer Mobilisation:

o Host regular prayer meetings (virtual or in-person) for the region.

o Disseminate prayer resources and stay updated on current prayer requests.

o Attend daily organisational devotions in-person or online, unless this is not possible

due to an event or meeting.

Awareness Raising:

o Speak at churches, schools, conferences, and community events to share

Barnabas Aid’s mission.

o Collaborate with churches and Christian networks to organise awareness events

and campaigns.

o Distribute resources and materials to inform communities about the persecuted

church and suffering Christians.

o Network widely and to explore potential partnerships.

Income Generation and Donations:

o Cultivate relationships with potential supporters and donors.

o Plan and execute regional fundraising initiatives, including events and campaigns.

o Encourage financial and other resource donations, ensuring effective donor

stewardship.

Volunteer Development and Engagement:

o Recruit (when possible) train, and mentor volunteers to support outreach activities

providing resources and regular communication.

o Coordinate volunteer activities to align with regional and organisational strategies.

Community Engagement and Networking:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with church leaders, mission committees,

and Christian organisations.

o Collaborate with other Regional Coordinators to share best practices and

coordinate efforts.

o Attend conferences and networking events to expand Barnabas Aid’s reach and

influence.

Event and International Collaboration:o Contribute to planning and attend national conferences, festivals, and events.

o Participate in international trips to meet project partners, witness project impact, to

assist or lead in auditing a project and share insights with supporters and

colleagues.

Operational Flexibility:

o Manage a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and extensive travel.

o Ensure tasks are completed efficiently, including additional assignments as

needed.

The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as an Operations and Data Officer. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual to help maintain, develop and continuously improve our data and systems. The role will be an integral part of the Living Wage Operations and Insight Team, providing technical support to ensure the integrity of our systems, and supporting with development projects. 

The Operations and Data Officer will need to be highly numerate and have great analytical skills to support our monitoring and evaluation functions, working with the Head of Operations and Insight on financial and budgeting management, reconciliation and forecasting for the Living Wage Foundation. Main Responsibilities 

Working as the Operations and Data Officer– LWF for Citizens UK, reporting to Senior Data & Operations Manager, LWF, your main responsibilities will include: 

Project Management 

Deliver work targets on time and to standard to support the Foundation’s data and systems: : 

•  Support the day-to-day operations and management of all systems within the Living Wage Foundation designed to enable the functioning of Living Wage accreditation schemes. 

•  Proactively seek out systems improvements to make our processes more efficient so the Living Wage Foundation continues to provide an excellent service to the Living Wage network. 

•  Provide operational support for all aspects of the accreditation and recognition systems, including identifying and fixing errors. 

• Maintain integrity of Salesforce database; identify and source incomplete information within the database; take responsibility for tidying, cleansing and backing up existing data. 

• Support maintenance of integrated systems, including syncing data to Act-On and the website. 

• Work with Operations and Data Manager to keep templates, forms and related communications materials up to date 

• Manage merchandise administration including email inbox, day to day queries, and Shopify administration. 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to manage budgets for external contracts (e.g. with developers and suppliers). 

  Learning and expertise 

• Keep up-to-date with functional good practice and technical updates to all our systems, including within the third sector. 

• Support with network data enquiries, including analysing data, creating Salesforce reports and dashboards for colleagues. 

• Work with colleagues to identify learning & development needs and support Operations and Data Manager to develop and deliver inductions, training and guidance to meet requirements.

• Champion systems throughout the organisation and advocate for systems-based solutions. Offer ad hoc guidance to the team and help communicate any changes to systems. 

• Run systems surgeries for colleagues to answer ad hoc enquiries and support learning. 

Develop and manage external relationships 

• Communicate effectively with our external contractors (e.g. merchandise suppliers) to ensure contracts are fulfilled in a timely manner. 

• Help identify suitable new suppliers to meet organisational need. 

Develop and manage internal relationships 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to identify technical solutions to meet organisational requirements. 

• Monitor and respond to operations and data enquiries from colleagues. Work effectively with colleagues across Citizens UK, actively participate in the team and organisational wide events. 

Income and resources 

• Maintain Salesforce data integrity to support accurate and timely invoicing. Help ensure the integrity and safety of our data advising wider organisation on best practice where appropriate. 

• Support Operations and Data Manager to track expenditure for Shopify and merchandise suppliers. 

• Contribute to plans and proposals to grow sources of income or resources.

Impact and Insights Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to be an impact catalyst across two Youth Zone locations (Carlisle and London).

We are looking for someone who can generate support and build towards a ‘culture of impact’ in both Youth Zones, so that outcome measurement and impact reporting becomes routine and ‘every day’. 

This is a hybrid working role, with 8 onsite days per month at the Carlisle and London sites, with the remainder working from home.

Position: Impact and Insights Officer

Location: Hybrid (8 days per month across the 2 Youth Zones in Carlisle and Barnet)

Salary: £38,000 – 42,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) plus travel expenses

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Contract: Fixed term contract – 2 years (due to project funding)

About the Role

You will collaborate closely with a cross section of teams within the Youth Zones, working with the Youth Work delivery teams to feed data into decision making, and with the Communications and Fundraising teams to provide impact measurement and analysis content for use with stakeholders and in donor reporting. Furthermore, it will align impact and data work with national and local policy, and use national census, health, police and other statistical data to position the four Youth Zones for new income generation opportunities.

Main responsibilities include:

• Measuring and demonstrating the charities’ impact to stakeholders
• Authoring and providing the necessary data to the leadership and fundraising teams and Board (as required)
• Annual publications such as Trustees Reports and annual Impact Reports.
• Lead on data analysis and reporting on the data held in Salesforce CRM, improving both the quality and quantity of monitoring and evaluation processes
• Driving improvements in data capture through training and upskilling the Youth Work team
• Strengthening the ability of the two Youth Zones to demonstrate the measurable impact of youth work delivered.

Innovation is a key aspect of this role, involving the introduction and embedding of new methodologies to enhance the qualitative data capture process.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who has the ability to bring technical analysis to life in a youth work setting and can communicate insights in an accessible style to different audiences. The Impact and Insights Officer should be passionate about embracing the power of youth work and be keen to support Youth Zones in evidencing the impact created with young people. It will require someone who can bring impact expertise and creativity to create buy-in and drive improvements in data capture; and someone who is keen to work flexibly and closely with teams of passionate Youth Workers and who is unafraid of the challenge presented by Youth Zones in two very different geographic locations.

Previous experience in a data analysis or similar role, including handling large datasets, using data to derive insights and data-led decision making is required for this role, along with experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau), and previous experience working with young people or in a youth work setting.

Please note, this is hybrid working role, with 8 onsite days per month at the Carlisle and London sites. You must be able to travel to these locations as part of your role.
