The role
If you want to help us end the Disability Employment Gap, Lead Policy Advisor (Employment) is the role for you. You’ll help us turn the evidence we have into robust policy recommendations.
We’re looking for someone who can use their detailed knowledge of policy influencing to come up with creative and effective ways to ensure that the next Government prioritises these issues. Throughout it all you’ll ensure disabled people’s experiences are included and their voices amplified.

You will
- Have good understanding of how Whitehall works, and you’ll know how to create change.
- Ideally have experience of working in a large organisation, and you will understand the need for a collaborative approach that works for different audiences.
- Be passionate about disability equality and understand the challenges disabled people face. Experience of working with people from marginalised backgrounds would be another advantage.

This role is a hybrid role within the Children and Families Team which is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, providing support to children and young people that have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.
The Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will act as the gateway for all children and young people referrals to the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service. Working within an experienced and established team, the Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will:
- Triage referrals, with a particular focus on children and young people who have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.
- Conduct risk assessments and offer immediate safety planning advice.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Signpost victims and professionals to other support agencies where appropriate.
- Provided early intervention support to children and young people as part of triage and welfare calls made.
- Offer specialist domestic abuse advice and support to professionals.
- Making welfare calls to victims who are waiting to start structured support.
- Support as required with co-facilitating in our children and young persons group work provision
In addition, the role requires the building of effective relationships both internally within the Wiltshire Team and externally, supporting a multi-agency approach.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Working within the agreed policies, principles and codes of practice of FearFree, the post holder will:
Working with children and young people and risk management:
- Provide a victim focused service, with an understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people.
- Demonstrate specialist knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse and how this may impact on the children and young people and their wider family unit.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to children and young people who have witnessed or experience domestic c abuse.
- Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, including the use of the dash risk assessment tool and SOAG.
- Make safeguarding referrals where appropriate: including to Children’s Social Care, Adult Social Care, Mental Health crisis teams and MARAC.
- Work directly with individuals or groups as agreed with the Team Manager.
- Safeguard the health and welfare of the children and young people and their families.
- Respond to emergencies and crisis situations including supporting a service user to access a place of safety if appropriate.
- Manage and support service users by telephone with low to medium support needs in line with the agreed values and aims of the service.
- Support as required with co-facilitating in our children and young persons group work provision
- Act as duty worker as part of a rota system. Duty shifts take place in the Trowbridge Office on weekdays between 9 and 5pm.
Team working
- Offer professional advice and support to multi-agency partners.
- Feedback to the Team Manager, Wiltshire Service Manager and/or other Support Workers any information related to the service users support needs or risk issues, and progress on support tasks.
- Work effectively in partnership with multiple statutory and voluntary agencies to enhance service delivery, safety and safeguarding.
- Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holiday and sickness.
- Work closely with other agencies, to network with, make referrals to and maintain good relationships with, and be able to disseminate information appropriately.
- Communicate with other staff, as well as the Team Lead and Wiltshire Service Manager, issues related to activities and work undertaken.
Administrative duties
- Help provide a responsive support service with a high quality of customer care.
- Answer the telephone and take messages and referrals, take action on messages and referrals and provide a triage service for all children and young people referrals.
- Assist in the referral process and children and young people follow up calls, contacting other agencies and helping to arrange appointments.
- Assist in the assessment and identifying children and young people for priority allocation
- Update written and computerised records with accurate clear information to deadline, including maintaining details of any special needs required by service users.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation policies and procedures and producing reports.
Additional tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure personal safety for self, other staff and service users at all times
- Participate in personal training and supervision opportunities and attend team meetings.
- Carry out other tasks appropriate to the post, which may be identified as the service develops and as agreed with the Team Manager and Wiltshire Service Manager.

Ability and willingness to travel within your region is essential. Occasional weekend work may be required. The role covers the following regions: Greater London, Kent, Essex & Surrey.

Summary of role: Our Green Doctors deliver home visits and telephone consultations across Kent & Medway. Consultations are a mix of advice, installation of small practical energy-saving measures such as low energy light bulbs and draft proofing and referring on to other health and wellbeing services. We aim to reduce our client’s energy bills and save them money in a variety of ways including providing a bill switching service.
You will be a practical, people-person with a passion for helping vulnerable people. You must have either knowledge or experience in energy efficiency to provide tailored energy saving advice, and the ability to adapt your approach to suit our client’s varying needs.
You must be comfortable with lone working and in managing your own workload.
A qualification as Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA), NVQ Level 3 (6049-03) Provide Energy Efficiency Services, or City and Guilds Energy Awareness (6281-01) is desirable, but relevant experience within the field or a willingness to take the qualification will be considered. (20 paid study hours).
A full clean driving licence is required.

About the role:
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office near Old Street and in co-location at Kings College Hospital. You will:

About the Role:
As our Senior Advocacy Advisor on International Financial Institutions you will increase and strengthen our advocacy and capacity to influence global development finance institutions, particularly the World Bank but also be informed on major developments in other IFIs, e.g. recent Paris Summit and Global Financing Pact. We want to ensure our engagement is systematic, impactful and builds up an increased evidence base for influence on the institution.
In this role, you will will employ a range of strategies to advocate for changes in the policies, standards and practices of the World Bank particularly as it relates to water sanitation and hygiene particularly in the context of the twin climate change and global health crises. This position will include a focus on the World Bank Group's Water Global Practice and the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, as well as also support WaterAid Country Programme teams and partners to influence the World Bank's operations at the country level.

- Develop and implement advocacy strategies designed to influence the policies of the World Bank and other relevant IFIs on water sanitation & hygiene in line with WaterAid's globally agreed policy and campaign priorities, and in coordination with allies.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
The exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
- Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
- Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families
- To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
- Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
- Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.

- Manage a caseload of low to medium risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.

About the role:
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic violence and abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with victims of domestic abuse to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe.
- Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs and risk assessment.
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system.
- Supporting the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation.
