In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives 
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme 
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets 

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun 
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees 
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets 
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment 

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a confident and experienced sustainability professional to join our central team as Environmental and Sustainability Manager.

You will play a key part in delivering our ambitious sustainability goals through operational excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

If you are passionate about implementing environmental management systems and achieving real-world progress toward sustainable development in the education sector, we would be delighted to hear from you.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Environmental and Sustainability Manager will lead and deliver the Federation’s environmental sustainability strategy across all academies. You will champion climate action, support academy-level implementation, drive behaviour change, monitor resource use, and report progress against sustainability targets.

As Environmental and Sustainability Manager you will:

• Leading development, delivery and monitoring the Federation Sustainability Strategy
• Provide high quality reporting to Federation senior leaders on environmental and sustainability performance
• Champion sustainability and environmental consideration as a key element of all property decision making including the development of our estate strategy
• In academies embed behaviour change, improving biodiversity of the estate, delivering on Net Zero (driving the reduction in creating carbon and heat emissions)
• Reducing waste (whether it be utilities, paper, or landfill).

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To succeed in this role, you will need a deep understanding of environmental compliance, ISO14001, sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement and operational change leadership.

We would like to hear from you if you:

• Qualifications to degree level, or equivalent experience
• Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), ISEP or NEBOSH Environmental Certificate
• Experience in environmental management, sustainability, estates or a related field
• Strong knowledge of sustainability legislation, policy, and best practice in the education sector
• Demonstrated experience of managing projects and delivering measurable sustainability outcomes
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Analytical skills and the ability to use data for reporting and decision-making
• The ability to work across multiple sites and manage competing priorities
• Knowledge of DfE environmental strategy and school climate commitments
• Demonstrable experience delivering environmental or sustainability projects or strategy, preferably in education, public sector or multi-site organisations

The Team

As part of the National Careers Service management team in the Southeast, you will be part of a small management and strategic team with an overview of a cohort of highly experienced and qualified Careers Advisers, trainees, tracking and admin staff that support our clients by providing Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance (CIAG) and monitoring our clients’ journeys.

About the Role

We’re seeking an inspiring, dedicated, and compassionate Area Manager to lead, support, and manage a team of careers advisers delivering the National Careers Service within the community. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, innovative services tailored to customer needs, while driving team performance to meet targets and upholding the highest standards of impartial careers information, advice, and guidance.

You will ensure the successful delivery of services across community venues, Job Centres, education providers, and online platforms. This position requires travel and may include covering out of hours, weekends and bank holidays in line with First Contact requirements. There will be an on-call payment that will be received monthly.

Whilst the North-East is an amazing place to live, there are still challenges, with large disparities between Gateshead’s wealthier and poorer areas, and 23,600 people live in areas described as having deep deprivation. With this comes all the associated issues that poverty causes, including 1 in 4 children growing up in poverty and one of the worst levels of social mobility in the country.

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and steward relationships with these, overseeing and building a strategy to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network

Line Management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development
• Be line managed by Resurgo on Spear Programme performance and ongoing operations of the centre, and report back on KPIs

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services

Site management 

• Work with the Church to coordinate the training room and any infrastructure needs for the Spear Centre
• Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

Palliative care for children aged 0–18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham, Worcester, and Walsall, as well as in family homes and other community settings. Acorns’ holistic, tailored approach is designed to meet each child’s clinical, emotional, cultural, religious, and spiritual needs.

Corporate fundraising at Acorns is on an exciting growth journey, with ambitions to increase income from £800K to £1M in the next two years. The team is known for its creativity and drive, and the charity has built strong partnerships with high-profile brands including Aston Villa FC, Pinsent Masons, and Tippers. This is an environment where innovation, strategy, and genuine relationship-building all come together to create meaningful, long-term partnerships.

This role offers a warm and well-developed patch, a supportive team culture, and space to be creative in how you grow and uplift corporate partnerships. You’ll be the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of established partners across Birmingham and the Black Country, focusing on stewardship, renewals, and smart uplifts.

While the focus is primarily account management (around 75%), you’ll also contribute to new business through activities like COTY pitches. You’ll work closely with the Business Development Manager and be line-managed by a detail-oriented and flexible leader who fosters autonomy, progression, and innovation. As Corporate Fundraising Manager, you will:

• Lead the stewardship and growth of existing corporate partnerships, using creative and strategic methods to increase value and longevity
• Manage a portfolio of supporters, including warm relationships 
• Represent Acorns at events and lead hospice tours to deepen supporter engagement
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on new business opportunities
• Take an active role in planning and delivering key corporate events, such as golf days and black-tie dinners
• Contribute to cultivation plans for senior leaders within corporate partners
• Use data and insight to report on progress and inform partnership development

Ideal skills and experience:

• Strong corporate fundraising or account management background, ideally with experience managing partnerships in the £30K–£50K+ range
• Confident steward and communicator, able to build rapport and deliver excellent supporter journeys
• Strategic thinker with a flair for finding growth opportunities within existing partnerships
• Comfortable pitching and presenting to corporate audiences at all levels
• Excellent organiser who can juggle competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
• Willingness to work out-of-hours at events and maintain regular hospice presence
• Dynamic, creative, and solutions-focused, with a collaborative mindset and passion for Acorns’ mission

We’re looking for someone with proven skills in video and photo production, editing, and digital storytelling, who is comfortable interviewing people and working with sensitive stories. The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive the very best care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres, to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

As Fundraising Manager – Trusts and Foundations, you will:

• Take on a well-established portfolio of trusts and foundations with a combined value of c.£850K, delivering a mix of templated and bespoke applications
• Collaborate closely with an experienced peer Trusts Manager, sharing responsibility for monthly submissions and stewardship
• Maintain and build relationships with existing funders, ensuring excellent reporting and donor care
• Work cross-functionally with the Data, Marcomms, Finance, and Care teams to develop strong cases for support
• Support joint cultivation and engagement events alongside the Philanthropy team

To be successful in this role, we are seeking:

• Experience of personally securing mid to high 5-figure+ grants from trusts or foundations
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across formats and word counts
• Stakeholder management skills
• Someone highly organised and efficient, who is able to manage a busy workload with autonomy

• Desirable but not essential: Health sector fundraising experience

About this role

This is an exciting role that will lead the relationship management of our most important, high value retail brands, without which our service could not be delivered. Supported by the Head of Events & Community Fundraising, you will work closely with the Partnerships Team and the Wardrobe Team to deliver essential client and events stock. In addition to delivering client and events stock, you will also focus on raising money from retail partners, particularly with activations linked to International Women’s Day and Giving Tuesday.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of retail brands, conducting excellent stewardship, bespoke tailored support, with a real understanding and insight into the challenges and opportunities within the retail sector, and an ability to influence and negotiate on the charity’s behalf. 

We seek an excellent relationship manager, with strong written and verbal communication skills, an ability to influence senior stakeholders and exceed set targets. An understanding of women’s fashion would also be advantageous.

The Senior Grants Manager will take a leading role in delivering The Childhood Trust’s new grant-making strategy. You will work with the Assistant Principal Learner Services to define, articulate and
implement our shared vision and values of the college to support learners with additional
needs in achieving their expected outcomes. You will also work with the Dean of the
Apprenticeship programme to ensure adult learners with additional needs are supported by
teaching staff and in their work placements.

You will hold a key role in the college and are expected to demonstrate outstanding skills in
working with the leadership team, parents and carers, external agencies and learners to
implement the strategic vision of the college, working with these individuals and groups to
ensure we provide a high quality of education to our learners with additional needs.

You will be accountable for ensuring that exam access arrangements are organised to meet
the needs of learners, annual reviews are completed for learners with EHCPs, ALS with the
Apprenticeship team and work alongside the pastoral team and teaching staff to implement
and make them aware of training and teaching strategies that support learners with
additional needs, and that reasonable adjustments for these learners are in place. In addition
to help administer the high needs funding claims with the Assistant Principal and Finance
department and MIS.

Key Responsibilities:

● Strategic Leadership

○ Develop and implement a comprehensive ALS strategy aligned with the
college’s vision and values.
○ Oversee the effective allocation and utilisation of resources, including High
Needs and EHCP Funding.

○ Monitor and evaluate the impact of ALS interventions and initiatives, driving
continuous improvement.
○ Foster a culture of inclusivity and support for learners with additional needs.
○ Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to advocate for SEND provision
and secure necessary resources.

● Operational Management

○ Line supervise the work of a team of 4 Learning Support Assistants, providing
guidance, support, and performance feedback.
○ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ALS team, ensuring efficient and
effective service delivery.
○ Co-ordinate the allocation of caseloads and workload distribution within the
team and creating support plans
○ Develop and implement robust systems and processes for identifying,
assessing, and supporting learners with additional needs.
○ Ensure compliance with relevant SEND legislation, Policies and regulations.

● Collaboration and Partnership

○ Work closely with the Assistant Principal Learner Services, the Dean of the
Apprenticeship programme, and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive
and coordinated approach to SEND provision.
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, including local
authorities, health professionals, and specialist support services.
○ Engage with parents/carers, providing regular communication and
opportunities for involvement.

● Staff Development

○ Lead and facilitate professional development opportunities for the ALS team,
ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support learners
effectively.
○ Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.

Essential:
○ Proven experience in a leadership or co-ordination role within a SEND or ALS
context.
○ Be educated to Level 3 standard.
○ In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
