This is a critical role that offers the chance to help shape and drive Mothers’ Union’s voice across a range of digital, social and print channels. Working closely with colleagues and members across the UK, and at times around the world, you will be confident in researching and creating brilliant content that fully brings the impact of our work to life.
Whilst you will be the primary internal web editor and responsible for SEO and Analytics, you will also understand digital and print content strategies. You will be similarly confident in producing e-newsletters and using social media to manage campaigns whilst measuring reach and effectiveness. You will also bring excellent video production and editing skills, from iPhone to Premier.
You will need to be able to forge strong working relationships within the Fundraising and Communications team, across the organisation and with members. You will have a creative approach and self-starting ability to be creative with limited resources, whilst regularly evaluating your own performance to build on strengths and identify areas to improve.
About you
- Experience of working in a membership organisation with multiple members and/or affiliated membership (and/or related experience that you can demonstrate).
- Experience of working in the faith sector (and/or related experience that you can demonstrate)
- Able to demonstrate how you have made a difference with communications and digital marketing in different working (or voluntary work) scenarios (Or with related experience)
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively with the confidence to present your ideas as part of a learning and sharing working culture. (Or willing to learn)
- Able to measure and evaluate the impact of your work in line with that of the Fundraising and Communications Team and deliver on performance targets. (Or willing to learn)

Summary
World Land Trust (WLT) is seeking a Digital Content Officer with responsibility for raising the profile and awareness of the Trust through the website and social media, ensuring communications are up-to-date, bright and relevant, and maintaining house style. The post holder will also be responsible for sourcing digital content and working closely with others in the team on producing a monthly eBulletin, alongside monitoring and reporting on performance using appropriate analytical tools.

WLT is based in the UK and is unique within the conservation world. The Trust has grown from small beginnings saving critically threatened forest in Belize to become an internationally respected conservation organisation with a proven track record, working with more than 35 local conservation NGOs to protect and restore threatened habitats around the world.
What you’ll be doing
The Digital Content Officer will work within the Communications Team to maintain and build the Trust’s digital presence, ensuring the website is up-to-date and maintained securely, monitoring performance and reporting on relevant analytics. They will also be responsible for designated social media activities, providing clear and relevant communications presented in a creative way.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a candidate who has had experience in a digital communications (or equivalent) role, who can demonstrate the effective delivery of websites, alongside strong analytical skills.
The successful candidate will be someone with relevant experience of using a range of web technologies, with a good knowledge of WordPress and relevant search engines. They will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to work as part of a close team to ensure the Trust’s message goes out in the most appropriate way. The ability to write creatively whilst still delivering a key message, and to proofread and edit, are essential.
The post is full-time, based in WLT’s offices in Halesworth, Suffolk.
