Role Overview: 

The Head of Marketing & Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s growth. You will develop and execute multi-channel strategies delivered across the funnel from enhancing brand visibility and generating leads, nurturing leads to conversion, right the way through to supporting customer retention and advocacy. This varied role offers the opportunity to expand market reach with our current services, as well as helping launch new products into existing and untapped markets, while delivering a strong RoI. 

As well as being a commercial and strategic leader you will need to be a hands-on problem solver, ready to roll your sleeves up to support a small team to deliver where needed. You will be pivotal in ensuring we achieve our mission and deliver impact for post-16 students.  

You will report directly to the Chief Revenue Generation Officer who leads the revenue team, comprising of digital marketing and content specialists as well as membership support staff.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Membership engagement and growth: Developing and executing strategic marketing and sales strategies to drive member engagement, growth and retention with our flagship membership and subscription services.  
• Brand positioning and visibility: Ensuring we have a powerful brand that punches above its weight to increase market share, drive competitive advantage and to position the organisation as a thought leader within the sector.
• Marketing analysis and segmentation: Conducting market analysis/research within existing and untapped markets to uncover insights to segment audiences and tailor marketing messaging and activities effectively to drive conversions. 
• Digital marketing: Overseeing digital marketing strategies, including website optimisation, email marketing, search marketing and social media marketing to drive traffic and conversion across the funnel stages.   
• Content and creativity: Oversea content strategy and creation across various formats and channels, ensuring innovation and creativity to stand out in a crowded market. 
• Data-driven decision making: Using analytics to test strategies, measure results and generate insights in order to iterate and improve performance, tracking key metrics and leading the team to deliver and report against agreed KPIs.  
• Budgeting and resource management: Tracking spend, ensuring cost effective allocation of resources and reporting on RoI.  
• Leadership and collaboration: Leading and mentoring the team to perform against growth and revenue targets as well as collaborating with other departments to ensure a unified approach.  

Essential experience and skills 

• Extensive experience in a similarly commercial marketing and sales role with a proven track record in driving revenue growth.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with a track record of successful planning and execution. 
• A commercial and results-driven mindset with a commitment to achieving and exceeding financial targets. 
• A diverse marketing skillset and proficiency across a range of marketing channels.

We are looking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to lead our team of dedicated professionals in an ambitious strategy to grow and develop our services across the UK.  Ideally the successful candidate will have some first-hand experience of neurodivergent children, combined with a knowledge of the education systems in place across the UK.  Experience of fundraising within a membership organisation and a track record in the effective use of technology will also be very useful.  This role will be supported by engaged Trustees, within an active community of families and schools, who recognise that the ability to empathise with young people with high learning potential and their families is at the heart of this role.

Strategy

• To collect and maintain information and evidence that contributes to the strategic planning of the charity.

Fundraising Public Relations Officer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR and marketing professional in our London fundraising office to design and deliver creative, multi-channel, integrated fundraising and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

The success of this role will be dependent on engaging and building meaningful long-term relationships with both existing and new supporters through effective donor stewardship, attending events, and networking.  

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with a small, dedicated team to provide fundraising, comms, and event support to our community fundraising groups.  

High quality comms and media are going to be central to our plans to go public in a big way in 2024.  Creating high-quality, impactful, and engaging content for multimedia platforms will be key. You’ll be able to identify stories from across the organisation, draw out information and ideas from others, and successfully turn complicated or clinical information into clear, simple, and compelling narratives.  

The role requires a creative thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Main responsibilities:

Fundraising

· Develop and implement integrated fundraising, marketing and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.

· Create and promote compelling and engaging content for web, social media, and email – ensuring that all comms have clear goals and outcomes.

· Manage the key relationships with the Guild fundraising Committee and the SOA fundraising committee including comms, marketing, and event support as well as helping to manage the key relationships with the Knights Templar sub-groups, and the County Priory Groups across the UK.  

· To put in place measures for evaluating the effectiveness of all fundraising, PR and marketing activity ensuring robust data collection, analysis procedures, and making suggestions for improvements where required.

Senior Social Media Officer

Sue Ryder is looking for a Senior Social Media Officer to join the Digital Team, to manage our portfolio of social media accounts and develop the charity’s channels to showcase the importance of our end-of-life care and bereavement support.

The Role
Reporting to the Social Media Manager, the role works closely with colleagues across the charity including fundraising, health & social care, and retail. Our social channels play a key role in providing support to people who are struggling with grief, as well as being an important engagement tool with our supporters. The role will be responsible for the content creation and planning across our accounts, including content around grief and bereavement, as well as taking ownership of key paid social campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

· Content planning for our local channels and leading on social media activities for fundraising events, PR campaigns and other projects.

· Creating content with a story-led approach including copywriting and developing visual assets for our national and retail accounts including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn and TikTok.

· Manage the response matrix for our social media moderation and escalation processes in line with organisational safeguarding procedures.

· Moderation cover for the Online Community and deputise for the Social Media Manager in meetings/project groups. Supervise the Social Media Assistant through proofreading, monitoring and delegating tasks.

· Gather data and insights to develop reports with actionable recommendations.

A natural people person with innate curiosity, you’ll embrace opportunities to visit our care homes and housing schemes and capture the stories of life with us – not just those of the older people who live there, but also those of our brilliant staff and volunteers. You’ll then devise creative ways to share these stories so they connect with our different audiences, from prospective residents to new supporters and beyond.

A self-starter, you’ll need to be able to work independently within agreed brand guidelines and with minimal supervision. You’ll also need to be highly organised, ensuring that deadlines are met and that content lands in a timely manner. Through analytics, you’ll monitor engagement, using these insights to inform our evolving content plan and drive growth.

As well as creating compelling content for our core communications platforms, you’ll also provide valuable support to our ambitious press plan, helping to amplify the voice of Pilgrims’ Friend Society in local and national media.

Key responsibilities

1. Manage WheelPower’s social media output

• Plan, create, write and schedule social media posts. Analyse activity and respond to comments and tagged posts
• Create paid and organic digital campaigns for social media which support events and encourage activity and engagement. Plan and design creative elements including use of images, graphics, animations and video
• Spot trends and advise on best social media content and new technologies
• Be aware and engage in social media content from other organisations that relate to disabled people and the organisations who support them. Have a good understanding of current events, sporting opportunities and re-share or comment on where appropriate
• Monitor and analyse social media activity of related organisations to identify opportunities and learnings to improve WheelPower’s online presence
• Create live social media content, be confident in photography and videography to take photos, interview participants and use camera to produce video content

2. Website

• Ensure that wheelchair users have access to the right information, in the right format, promoted in the right locations which enables them to take part in sport and physical activity
• Maintain the website to ensure that all information is up to date an accurate
• Create new webpages to support the promotion of new opportunities and activities and ensure that all pages are optimised for search engine and ensure we learn from Google Analytics and visitor behaviour

3. Marketing and communications

• Produce innovative content for the delivery of creative, successful and cost-effective marketing and media campaigns targeting online and off-line audiences.
• Target specific communications which promote our work to wheelchair users, those who support wheelchair users, disabled groups, disabled children, their families and our supporters.
• Manage and produce regular outbound communications which promote WheelPower and our partners’ events and activities.
• Maintain and develop good relationships with local and national media organisations.
• Produce high quality press releases for written media, arrange interviews with radio, and be the point of contact to organise and arrange TV media to attend our events.
• Create, monitor and evaluate paid for social media advertising and online digital marketing opportunities. Work with a given budget to produce effective and engaging Ads.

4. Content Creation

• Promote our events and activities by telling the stories of how our work has had a positive impact on the physical and mental well-being of disabled people
• Produce a range of well written and informative stories which will underpin our promotional activity. Arrange interviews and be confident with audio/visual equipment to capture positive feedback from our beneficiaries.
• Create original social media graphics, leaflets, posters and a wide variety of marketing materials to promote sport and fundraising activities.
• Work within the brand guidelines to ensure consistency.
• Work with existing and new partners in order to communicate through their networks and channels with a particular focus on disabled people’s organisations and disabled people’s user led organisations.
• Engage and create specific content for Awareness Dates and work with our partners to increase awareness of the work of WheelPower.
• Have a good understanding of video editing software and be able to create, edit and produce professional looking innovative video content.

About the role  
As Crisis’ Media and Artist Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health. You’ll also identify, build and nurture relationships with artists and influencers to secure their support for Crisis and our work, whether that be political campaigning, fundraising or our commercial and retail offering. 

Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. You’ll help create hard-hitting news stories and media hooks that engages our audiences and raises awareness of Crisis’ work. You’ll also work with our Artist Liaison Manager to utilise our high-profile supporters and ambassadors to inspire and raise awareness of our cause with key audiences and develop creative and engaging ways to amplify our media campaigns on social media. You will also help make the most of reactive opportunities that come through to our press office and help build strong relationships with key journalists.   

Location: Based in London office (Working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working policy with a minimum of two days a week working in the office)

About you  
To be successful in this role you will have:  

• Experience of working within a busy press office environment/ PR agency or as a journalist.    

• Experience of generating engaging and impactful media and talent plans that secure stand out coverage across news, consumer, online and regional media.   

• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write for a range of audiences and outlets including news, consumer, and trade.  

• Experience of working with high profile people (including influencers) and management teams.    

• Experience of working with and interviewing case studies, identifying and preparing stories for the media and empowering people to share their experience.

Purpose of the Role

The Digital Marketing Manager will implement and help develop a new digital marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of ArtsEd’s profile and reputation and the successful delivery of all our programmes.

Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.

In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.

Digital Marketing

• Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
• Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.

• Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.

• Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms

• Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.
• Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.
• Monitor social media communications (both comments on posts and direct messages) and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.

Design & Brand

• Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.
• Ensure all digital information is accurate, up to date and relevant.
• Ensure ArtsEd embraces and celebrates diversity and inclusion through all digital marketing touchpoints.
• Develop and manage image library including liaising with relevant staff to select images, co-ordinating in-house photography and film requirements, up-dating plasma screen and fulfilling external requests for images.

Graphic Design

• Create print and digital advertising material using Canva or similar software.
• Design and create in-house digital signage and support the Marketing Officer where needed.
• Support the print production process, liaising with printers and publications, proof reading and adapting print collateral as required.

Recruitment

• Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
• Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
• Managing an associated  programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
• Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
• To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp
• Overseeing the production of all marketing collateral.

Social Media

• Overseeing the planning and delivery of a social media plan that aligns with and enhances all strands of the marketing and communications strategy

• Complete quarterly digital impact reports

The purchase ledger team is integral to ensuring that the Group commitments are accurate and complete each month; and payments are made on a consistent basis in keeping with suppliers’ credit terms and internal policy on expenses.

The key responsibilities of this Purchase Ledger Officer include:

• Record staff expenses and property invoices (e.g., rent, utilities, repairs) promptly across all companies.
• Upload invoices promptly after processing for timely authorisation.

The Head of Marketing role:

This is an exciting new role in an expanding team, ideal for someone who’s an established marketeer and wants to make a difference. The Marketing & Digital Directorate objectives are to raise awareness of coeliac disease, extend our reach to a wider audience, grow our reputation with a variety of audiences, and maximise engagement.
