As Supporter Engagement Officer you’ll play a key role in helping us to engage new and existing supporters as well as helping to deliver first-class stewardship to retain support and build trust. In addition you will develop appeals and communications that engage and inform supporters which help to raise more voluntary income.

Directly supporting the Direct Marketing and Legacy Manager and working closely with all of the Supporter Engagement team it would be beneficial if you have previous experience or an interest in Fundraising. Being a confident communicator with a “can-do” approach is essential as well as being able to demonstrate proven administrative skills, the ability to manage a varied workload and be highly organised.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are contractually required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month.

We are looking for an Interim External Affairs Manager to help lead our communications activities from 24 June 2024 to 31 December, while our permanent External Affairs Manager is on sabbatical. The post holder will help to champion and manage the PAPYRUS brand and support the delivery of our projects and services through developing engaging and targeted content. They will act as the day-to-day lead on our social media planning and scheduling, as well as blog writing and storytelling.

What you will do:

Lead on the PAPYRUS social media planning and scheduling, utilising a social media management suite such as Hootsuite, or similar.

Support the day to day running of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube), using these to promote our services, increase brand awareness and drive engagement with our audiences;

Lead on maintaining and creating content for the PAPYRUS website and blog, collating stories from people with lived experience of suicide, as well as other charity staff and stakeholders.

Develop the charity’s online presence by exploring new opportunities and channels to appeal to different audiences;

Produce creative designs and artwork for print and digital requirements, utilising in-house design tools and software (including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva);

To be successful in this role you will have:

Social media marketing campaign experience

A natural flair for storytelling, with the ability to create compelling, informative written content promoting the voices of lived experience.

About the role

The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting, varied position working with Emmaus communities located in the South East region of the UK to increase their profile and engage supporters.

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.

Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important.  The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.

Who are we looking for?

We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.

Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

The Events Officer plays a key role in our highly effective communications team, leading on the delivery of an impactful programme of events – both online and in person. The organisation

Every year in the UK, around 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that mostly affects children under five. Neuroblastoma UK is a small national charity dedicated to finding a cure for this life-threatening disease - and is seeking a talented Senior Communications Officer to help us raise awareness and profile.

The role

The Senior Communications Officer is responsible for press liaison, pitching in case studies and news stories about our research to the national press, building relationships with our celebrity patrons and families and creating content for our social media channels. Events Officer

We are looking for dedicated and passionate Events Officer to join our team based in Hatfield!

How will you make a difference? 

Manage, develop and evaluate an engaging programme of events fundraising, and support the Community Fundraising Officer when delivering local events to raise a target income of £90k . Support groups and individuals organising fundraising events and activities on behalf of hyh. To support the development and delivery of the Communications Plan.

What will you be doing? 

Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team

• Identify, develop and support existing and new community and events fundraising activities to increase and generate significant net income and supporter engagement
• Provide excellent donor care for all fundraising activities, to develop productive and lasting relationships with the community and convert them into loyal supporters
  
• Assist the Head of Fundraising & Communications  in the development and delivery of hyh’s Events and Communications Plans
• Update donor CRM databases and website

Youth Engagement Officer
Location: Hybrid from our office in Stroud, Gloucestershire or remote based
Salary: £23,000 to £26,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are looking for a Youth Engagement Officer to become an integral part of the Meningitis Now Communications and Fundraising team.

Young people are a key audience for Meningitis Now – and one where cases of meningitis are increasing. This role will be key in engaging with and raising awareness amongst young people across the UK. You will be responsible for developing content for our new TikTok channel, as well as moderating and finding ways to grow our audience. You will also play a key role in engaging young audiences with fundraising for Meningitis Now, helping to create new campaigns and explore new products to help us develop relationships with this important audience.

About the job

Duties and Responsibilities

• To create content for TikTok and other social channels, working to our social media strategy.
• Report on social media performance and use this to inform future content.
• Create and manage paid advertising campaigns on TikTok.
• Community management of our TikTok channel, signposting to further information or support where necessary.
• Engage with our Believe & Achieve team and Volunteering team to collaborate with young people to create social content.
• Engage and build relationships with potential influencers/ambassadors who can help amplify our voice and messages.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and identify opportunities for Meningitis Now to engage with trends.
• Work closely with digital colleagues managing Meningitis Now’s other social platforms, to plan relevant content and ensure a joined-up approach.
• Identify and develop youth audience fundraising opportunities.
• Work with our Fundraisers to develop new products that appeal to young people.
• Increase Meningitis Now’s profile and support the delivery of the charity’s strategic aims.

What we're looking for

Skills and Experience

• Experience in marketing or social media.
• Experience creating content for social platforms, particularly TikTok.
• Experience using Canva and CapCut.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with different teams.
• Empathy, often working with individuals who have been affected by meningitis.
• Competency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable Selection Criteria

• Experience in the charity sector.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud.

Other Requirements

• Commitment to the goals and values of Meningitis Now.
• Occasional out of hours travel and attendance at events, when required.
• Other requirements as determined by the organisation.
