St Mungo’s Assertive Contact and Engagement (ACE) Service and North Star project reflects the diversity of Bristol and reaches people and communities that may have had difficulty accessing services that fully meet their needs in the past.

The ACE team supports people with mental health needs who face barriers to accessing services, providing therapeutic groups, drop-ins, and outreach across Bristol. North Star offers dual diagnosis support for homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health challenges, with a focus on trauma-informed care, therapy, psychoeducation, and referrals for long-term support.

In the role of Engagement worker key responsibilities include:

•  Deliver the service flexibly across sites, engaging clients in day centres, hostels, community centres, or their homes.
• Engage with clients in a person centred, recovery focused way in 1-1 and group settings to help clients achieve their goals and aspirations.
• Working with the team to provide high quality contact, engagement and support and assessment plans.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners through a multidisciplinary approach.

About you

We are looking for people with experience in outcome-focused services and a passion for helping vulnerable people transform their lives in. we encourage you to apply if you can demonstrate the below:  

• Skilled in communication and supporting hard to reach and marginalised clients who have multiple needs.
• Understanding of trauma informed practices, able to apply these to support people in a person centered way.
• A sound understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing homelessness and an understanding of the difficulties they can face in accessing services that are fully responsive to their needs, this may be through personal lived experience.
• Good networking skills, able to work with a variety of different people to reach positive outcomes.
• Additionally, experience of cofacilitating groupwork would be beneficial.

The Engagement Worker roles follow office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. The ACE team role is full-time (37.5 hours/week), while the North Star role can be part-time or full-time (30-37.5 hours/week).

Join us as a Funding Officer and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to communities across the region. Working as part of the Yorkshire and the Humber team as part of a team of 20 colleagues you will combine hybrid working - either from home, our Leeds office adjacent to Leeds station, or project visits, to understand how and where amazing people and organisations are transforming neighbourhoods.

If you have previous experience for a funder, then that is great but it’s not a necessity.

• You will need to be confident with comprehension and writing because you will be working with those applying for grants to advise and support them as necessary to develop proposals including project budgets.
   
• You’ll work with your colleagues to assess and recommend projects for funding. Some days you’ll be attending funders fairs, in person or online, whilst on others you may be meeting with Councils or other funders to share information about need and funding in a particular neighbourhood.
   
• You’ll also have responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure they are on track. If you have experience of the voluntary sector that would be ideal, particularly in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
   
• Confident in writing, comprehension and with an understanding of budgets you will be passionate about supporting communities to build on their strengths to improve lives.

Main Purpose of Job

· To be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of our advice services via telephone, email/web, in person and at outreach venues.

· To line manage team leads, debt caseworkers and the energy adviser and support them in achieving high standards of accessible advice services.

· To oversee the use of our volunteer adviser resources to cover each of our advice channels in the most effective way.

· To liaise with the training lead to ensure we have sufficient, well trained volunteer advice resources to deliver our service.

· To ensure cover for Advice Session Supervisors when needed

· To provide training, guidance and support on client records, telephone channel and quality standards

· To design and implement improvements to our advice processes based on best practice, leading and gaining buy-in from team members as necessary.

· To be overall responsible for the quality of our advice in line with our Quality of Advice framework and IFR’s to drive the organisation towards excellence in quality.

· To be responsible for Debt technical supervision and carry out continuous professional development activities and duties within the organisation.

· Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.

· Research and explore options and implications so that clients can make informed decisions.

· Act for the client where necessary by calculating, negotiating, drafting or writing letters and telephoning.

· Negotiate with third parties such as statutory and non-statutory bodies as appropriate.

· Ensure that all work conforms to the organisation’s office manual and the Advice Quality standard / other funding requirements, as appropriate.

· Ensure that work reflects and supports the Citizens Advice service’s equality and diversity strategy.

· Maintain detailed case records for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring and report preparation.

· Take ownership for monitoring own workload e.g. proactively reviewing progress on current cases, outcome of completed cases and quality control.

· Be a DRO approved intermediary.

Research and Campaigns

· To ensure the advice team contribute to the development of social policy in line with our business plan

· To assist with social policy work as required by the organisation

Management duties

· You will be accountable and responsible for delivering the service delivery related objectives and outcomes from the organisation’s Business Plan and service-related KPIs.

· Prepare and issue reports as required for the CEO, funders and partners, attending meetings as required to present findings and recommendations 

Learning and professional development  

· Keep up to date with legislation relevant to the role, trends, ideas and thinking

· Attend and actively participate in regular support and supervision sessions and appraisals with the Chief Executive Officer

· Identify own learning and development needs and plan to meet them.

Administration  

· Ensure that detailed records for the purposes of information retrieval, statistical monitoring and report preparation are maintained and developed

Hillside is looking for a part time Caseworker to join the Mental Health Recovery Team which supports Islington residents with:

• Person-centred, coproduced and trauma informed recovery-focused interventions.
• Promotes independence and self-management for members
• Delivers a wraparound service in partnership with local authority, statutory agencies and community partners.
• Ensures members ‘involvement in active volunteering and coproduced activities, service planning and reviews

Main responsibilities:

• Motivate, lead and encourage member participation at all levels of responsibility, working alongside members to complete tasks.

• To keep systems and database up to date with members ‘information
• To provide information and support at a time of crisis to service users.

Reading Strategy Coordinator - HMP Stoke Heath

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) and G4S to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons.  We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Stoke Heath. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust Team Members, this is an exciting role leading on the delivery and development of creative and exciting literacy initiatives and an ambitious Reading Strategy at HMP Stoke Heath, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role is subject to contract award and will be prison-based.

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking, with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery. 

Our ISAC Service is a small team, providing specialist stalking advice, consultancy and support to high risk victims of stalking across Gloucestershire. You will be working in a multi-agency environment including police, other statutory bodies and third sector organisations to respond to and safeguard high risk victims, bridging gaps in their support. 

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.

This role may include evening and weekend work when required. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Work with high risk victims of stalking, providing a targeted service, promoting safety as the central issue and thus reducing the risk of serious harm or death. 
• To provide this service both at time of crisis and in the longer term e.g. safety planning, risk assessing advocacy, support through the criminal justice/civil legal process and liaison with other statutory and voluntary agencies. 
• Complete specialist risk assessments (SASH and DASH). 
• Manage a caseload ensuring each person receives the appropriate service individual to their risk and needs. 
• Provide proactive, trauma responsive and holistic support, with a focus on increasing safety and reducing risk. 
• Work with criminal justice agencies via Gloucestershire’s multi-agency Stalking Clinic as well as a variety of partners including Victim Support, Children’s Social Care, GDASS and GRASAC to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk. 
• Provide specialist advocacy to victims going through the criminal justice process. 
• Attend Multi Agency meetings (Stalking Clinic) and Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) and Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) meetings as required. 
• Give information and support to those experiencing stalking, enabling and empowering them to make positive choices about options available to them and assist them in regaining control of their lives. 
• Support other agencies in the identification and referral of stalking issues via promotion of service and institutional advocacy. 
• Offer professional consultancy, training and advice to other agencies on stalking. 
• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services works in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors, ensuring the service is accessible to all.
• Support colleagues and the Head of Service to monitor data and report on quality outcomes.

About the role:

This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with limited hybrid working, you must be prepared to support perpetrators of domestic abuse holistically to address their support needs in order for them to be ready to engage in a behaviour change programme.

As a Perpetrator Caseworker you will:

• Work with male perpetrators to access services, i.e housing, mental health support and drug and alcohol services.
• Encourage positive options for behaviour change throughout the service user's time in the service. Using a combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of skills to encourage service users to address their abusive behaviour.

You will need:

• Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and stalking, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available.
• Belief in perpetrator behaviour change.
• Empathy and the ability to support and guide your service users, demonstrating excellent advisory, negotiation & persuasive skills.
• Experience of working directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse in a statutory, voluntary, social or community work setting.
• A good knowledge of effective ways of working/engaging with perpetrators of domestic abuse.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including networking skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with other agencies.
• Ideally a background in Domestic Abuse Services, Probation, Homelessness or the Police would be advantageous.
