Working within the Membership, Armed Forces and Community Engagement Directorate, we are looking for an experienced and inspiring musical leader who can combine artistic excellence with strong relationship management and operational oversight. You will bring proven experience operating within a major military, ceremonial or similarly high-profile musical environment, alongside an expert understanding of military and classical repertoire, liturgical music and wider contemporary performance styles. Just as importantly, you will be someone who can build trusted relationships across the communities, supporting RBL licensed bands, advising on musical activities and working collaboratively with internal volunteer and staff teams, external stakeholders and military partners both in the UK and internationally.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and influence the future of music across the RBL communities while respecting the traditions and standards that make the Royal British Legion’s musical heritage so distinctive. Alongside leading the Central Band, you will play a key role in supporting membership and community engagement, ceremonial activity and events across the organisation.

We are seeking someone with positive presence, passion and credibility; a confident leader who can inspire musicians, uphold exceptional performance standards and deliver memorable experiences that reflect our charity’s ethos, values to widen awareness and community participation in RBL events.

You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there, with occasional travel (incl. For monthly team meetings).

Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family day activities bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. Coordinators develop and facilitate activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisational and communication skills. 

Full and part-time positions available, and coordinators are required to work most Saturdays.  In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed. Activities are delivered across Kent, so some travel is required.

About Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership (KBOP)

KBOP is a mission driven social enterprise working with a partnership of expert delivery organisation to provide floating support to vulnerable people across Kirklees. Through following an asset-based approach focusing on people’s strengths and aspirations, we enable people to secure accommodation and to give them the skills required to sustain these tenancies independently over time, with a key focus on helping people into employment. 

The project is an outcomes contract where we are paid for enabling people to achieve positive improvements in their lives relating to accommodation, education, employment and wellbeing. This model allows flexibility in how the service is delivered with a focus on evolving the service delivery model over time to best enable the people we support. The role of KBOP is to drive continuous improvement across the service, set the strategy for the programme, and manage key stakeholder relationships, including with Kirklees Council, the service commissioner.

About the Opportunity:

The Initial Engagement Co-ordinator is a pivotal role to the function of KBOP. Working alongside the Team Leader and KBOP Central Hub, the role is the first point of contact for any individual or referring body seeking to access support from KBOP.

The responsibility of this role is to listen and understand the experiences of anyone contacting KBOP to determine how our service can support and enable them to overcome their current challenges, achieving their goals and ambitions. Ensuring that individuals feel supported from the first point of accessing KBOP and any immediate needs met with verbal advice, support and guidance over the phone.

This role will determine that anyone referred into the service is eligible and all information required to ensure to direct someone to the most suitable delivery partner, is available on the referral form. Signposting to alternative services if KBOP cannot meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· To engage with individuals contacting KBOP in a positive, asset focused way. Ensuring they feel heard and empowered to make their own decisions regarding the support they would like to receive.

· Clarifying ambitions, needs and eligibility of individuals seeking to access support from KBOP. Redirecting to other services if they do not have a housing need or currently accessing support from other services in Kirklees.

· If individual does have a housing need or is not currently supported by another services in Kirklees, assessing presenting ambition or needs to determine suitability for KBOP service.

· Once suitability has been confirmed,  providing initial advice, support and guidance to individuals or referring bodies seeking to access support from KBOP. Supporting any individual with low level guidance & interventions to ensure their needs are met and ambitions supported.

· Responding to any enquiry into the KBOP service. This will be via phone or email.

· Identify eligibility of initial enquiries to KBOP service – checking for completion of referral form & signature of participant giving consent. If individual is not eligible for the service redirecting to another suitable service within Kirklees.

· Ensuring all information fields on initial referral have been completed – prioritising personal contact information to ensure Delivery Partners have the right information to engage individuals as quickly as possible.

· Updating applicable IT systems such as CDP Soft to ensure all relevant data is recorded in the system.

· Working with the central KBOP team to determine suitable Delivery Partner and updating system accordingly.

· Contacting referral body or individual seeking to access KBOP to confirm outcome of the initial process.

·  Acting at all times in a positive, empowering, courteous and supportive manner to ensure any individual feels engaged with the KBOP programme.

About the role. We have an opportunity for a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Clinical Programmes team and support our growing portfolio of clinical research studies. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of research studies, helping to drive progress and meet key milestones.

As Clinical Research Coordinator, you will be managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the research studies. You’ll act as a central point of contact, collaborating confidently with clinicians, nurses, patient groups and other stakeholders to ensure studies run efficiently and effectively.  With a keen eye for detail, you’ll maintain accurate documentation and site files, ensuring readiness for audits and inspections.

Main purpose of the job

This role is a central part of the Student Activities and Communities Department, working collectively with colleagues to deliver UoGSU’s work in engaging our student groups, societies and delivering events. The post holder will co-create events and activities which maximise student engagement and build sense of community at University.

Main duties and responsibilities

High quality student-led events

• Coordinate and working with others promote our student-led societies offer and other student groups within UOGSU.

• Develop, enhance and deliver an active calendar of student-led events.

• Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders with event planning, design and delivery of student-led events.

• Provide operational support at student-led events and activities.

• Assist in the planning of large-scale events such as Welcome, SU crew volunteering programme, our Varsity series and Student Awards.

• Support the UOGSU events programme. Be a point of contact for students, University staff, UOGSU staff who wish to utilise on-campus spaces for events, and to assist them in the planning and delivery of a successful event.

• Act as a premise license holder if required (training provided if necessary).

• To have operational responsibility for SU social spaces including ensuring equipment is functional, that space usage is recorded and that the environments evolve with changing student demands.

Support for student groups

• Develop effective partnerships to facilitate involvement and engagement with our student groups and support them to develop their capacity to achieve their potential.

• Ensure our student groups are accessible and inclusive to all members.

• Ensure our database of student leaders and members of our societies are up to date.

• Effectively engage students and provide ongoing support and assistance where necessary.

• Organise regular meetings with our elected student leaders and committee members.

Young Citizens is recruiting a Programmes Coordinator to join us in a hands‑on role at the heart of our mission to help young people become active, engaged and informed citizens. As part of our national charity’s central team, you’ll support the delivery of high‑quality programmes that connect young people with citizenship education, from legal initiatives such as mock trials to social action challenges and workshops.

Your Role’s Purpose

Young Citizens is recruiting a Programmes Coordinator to play a hands-on role at the heart of our mission to help young people become active, engaged and informed citizens. Working across our portfolio, you’ll support the delivery of a range of programmes, from legal education initiatives such as Mock Trials and The Big Legal Lesson, to Citizenship Workshops and social action programmes like the Make a Difference Challenge. 

You’ll coordinate engaging, high-quality experiences for schools, working closely with teachers, volunteers and partners to ensure programmes run smoothly and meet our participation and impact targets. Alongside delivery, you’ll contribute to growing reach, improving programme content and strengthening our overall impact.

Who we are looking for

You will join a small, dedicated team of delivery staff, making this well suited to someone who is ready to take ownership of their key areas while also contributing to shared priorities across the team. You may have experience in programme delivery, education, events, or a similar role, and be ready to take ownership of a diverse and active portfolio.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different timelines. In your first year 

You will play a key role in coordinating the delivery of Young Citizens’ education programmes, ensuring schools, teachers and partners have a positive experience from registration through to programme completion. You will manage programme administration, communications, scheduling and logistics, and act as a main point of contact for participating schools and stakeholders. 

You will also support monitoring and evaluation by collecting feedback and impact data, helping to demonstrate outcomes and inform programme improvements. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will contribute to refining systems and processes to strengthen the quality and reach of Young Citizens’ programmes. 

Through programme coordination, stakeholder engagement and operational support, this role delivers: 

• Strong relationships with schools, teachers and partners.

• Efficient administrative and communication processes.

• Accurate data and insights to evidence impact and improve delivery.

We’re seeking a highly organised, proactive Operations Coordinator to help keep our work running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a varied role supporting colleagues across teams, maintaining key systems and trackers, and helping ensure processes are clear and effective.

Pause works alongside women at risk of having children removed from their care, helping them improve their lives and influencing the services and systems that affect them. Our vision is a society where women who experience child removal receive the support they need so it never happens more than once.

You’ll provide high-quality operational and administrative support to the national team, monitoring shared inboxes, maintaining accurate records, supporting project and funding tracking, and helping ensure effective use of our case recording system.

This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, digitally confident and comfortable managing competing priorities. You’ll collaborate across teams, using strong communication and coordination skills, while taking ownership of your work and adapting to changing needs.

Job Title: Compost Coordinator

Responsible to: Community Delivery & Development Lead

Hours of Work: 2 days or 10 hours a week

Location: Flexible working will be required across evenings and weekends Our Compost sites and main office; Hay Hall, Tyseley All Saints Church, Omnia Medical Practice

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Circa £7,000

Compost Culture is a five-year project taking place in Birmingham, supported by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund (NLCAF) and led by Incredible Surplus, that seeks to change the narrative on compost and support behaviour change, following a two- year initial project. This project will involve practical compost and growing initiatives alongside creative media and storytelling to show the relevance and importance of compost in how society moves forward. The project will build a resilient, self-sustaining network of composting and growing activity across Birmingham. It will inspire and support individuals, community groups, organisations and businesses to try composting and embed it as part of their daily activity and press the local authority and other agencies to support hyper-local composting as a valuable element of food waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a “Compost Village” approach across project sites by building strong relationships with households, community organisations, churches, local groups and schools.
• Facilitate community knowledge-sharing around composting, soil health, waste reduction, and the role composting plays in climate action and local sustainability.
• Support the development of local composting loops, encouraging communities to reuse organic materials effectively and reduce waste.
• Deliver a strong schools-focused programme, including educating pupils and school staff on composting, biodiversity, and environmental responsibility.
• Support the installation and ongoing use of Ridan composting systems within schools alongside other composting methods appropriate to each setting.
• Work collaboratively across project delivery, supporting wider engagement activities and site-based practical work. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• A genuine passion for nature, sustainability, composting, and environmental education.
• Basic understanding of soil health, composting processes, growth cycles, and the organisms that support healthy ecosystems.
• Interest in biodiversity, wildlife, and “mini beasts” that contribute to healthy soil systems.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage positively with schools, community groups, and volunteers.
• Good level of physical fitness, with the ability to undertake practical outdoor work while following safe lifting and manual handling guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small delivery team.

Desirable:



• Experience working with schools, young people, or community engagement projects.
• Experience in composting, horticulture, environmental projects, or outdoor education.
• Knowledge of climate action, circular economy principles, or community sustainability initiatives.
