Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment

• Support with recruitment and selection as required. This includes placing adverts, scheduling interviews, requesting references, coordinating induction plans etc.
• Coordinate all documentations for recruits. This includes preparing offer letters and employment contracts, new starter documents.

Volunteer coordination

• Liaise with the Volunteer Lead to process volunteer applications.
• Liaise with the Volunteer Lead to process work experience applications.

These includes Microsoft forms, reference checks and entering data on Chairty Log.

Diversity and Inclusion

• Conduct diversity monitoring for all recruitment applications.

Compliance and Training

• Process and monitor DBS for staff and volunteers.
• Upload new starters on our learning managing system for mandatory training.
• Coordinate and provide administrative support in the delivery of internal and external staff training including, recording attendance, booking external speakers / trainers.

​HR Administration

• Process starters, leavers and changes on HR Information System (Staffology).
• Monitor the HR and recruitment mailbox, responding to queries and signposting emails to HR Manager.
• Respond to reference requests.
• In the absence of HR Manager: Conduct HR induction for newly recruited staff. Provide up to date payroll information to the Finance team and submit monthly pensions payment.
• Assist the HR Manager in developing and maintaining a comprehensive set of HR policies and ensure that all staff know how to access these

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. We are now looking for two full-time Paralegals to join us: one on a 12-month fixed-term contract supporting the Safeguarding with Third Parties Project, and the other in a permanent position, both roles working within our Legal team.

The Roles

As a Paralegal, you will support our legal team and internal stakeholders to ensure legal documentation is prepared and maintained appropriately.

Specifically, you will assist in drafting contracts, liaising with third parties to gather information, providing updates, and advising on the use of appropriate contract templates.

Alongside this, you’ll support a variety of wider responsibilities, including proofreading and formatting documents, monitoring external spending, and helping to manage internal resources.

About You

Overview

Exclusion from education happens when a child is suspended from school (temporarily or permanently) but it also happens when they are sent out of the class, put into an isolation room, or even wander around corridors doing all they can to avoid going to their lessons! With 32 million ‘learning days’ lost in 22/23 (up from 19 million, pre covid) this is serious societal problem with devastating lifelong consequences for young people – especially those from poorer backgrounds. SOHK is on a mission to help children experiencing exclusion, change their life trajectory.

With teams in England, Scotland and Wales, working with hundreds of ‘at risk’ students, we are looking to appoint a Regional Manager in South East Wales who will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of our programme in Wales. The successful candidate will ensure the alignment of delivery with our organisational goals and standards, line manage and support team members and maintain strong relationships with schools and other stakeholders. Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is offering an exciting position as Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media) in a dynamic European non-profit patient advocacy organisation. This role will help deliver the MPE communications strategy, providing both strategic and operational support across the organisation, and ensuring that MPE is increasing our reach and impact to improve the lives and experiences of myeloma patients.

As Communications Manager (Digital and Social Media), you will work with the Head of Communications and other key staff across to the organisation to:

• Implement MPE communications strategy, monitor and improve MPE reach, and increase impact with key stakeholders
• Develop and disseminate strong and relevant messaging for key stakeholders     
• Monitor and evaluate our performance and reach across digital and social communications channels

This will include working on the following core activities and tasks:

Digital communications (40%)

• Writing, editing and updating content for the MPE website (i.e. using WordPress, Elementor and other content management systems)
• Developing written and graphic content for MPE programme specific websites (such as MPE Navigator and Myeloma Access Atlas)
• Collaborating with relevant MPE staff on digital content development and publication

The Role

Are you an experienced paid digital expert who is also passionate about nature? We're looking for someone to join our membership marketing team and deliver income-generating recruitment campaigns.

You will have proven expertise of managing the delivery of paid search, social and display advertising using a range of targeting techniques including macro demographic and internet-based targeting, as well as micro audience segmentation-based targeting and re targeting techniques. We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.

The Finance Officer will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. The Sutton Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join the team and provide crucial support on a range of key finance processes. The Team

This role will fit into the small Finance & Operations team and will be line managed by the Finance Manager.

Main Duties

• Maintaining the Purchase Ledger including processing supplier invoices, staff expense claims, grant and bursary payments, reconciling statements and making the relevant payments
• Maintaining the Sales Ledger including raising invoices and allocating receipts
• Cash management including checking bank transactions daily, allocating transactions on the accounting system and producing regular bank reconciliations. Paying in cheques and reconciling floats, if required
• Maintaining accurate records of both unrestricted and restricted fund transactions including receipts, grants, staff expenses, overheads and cash
• Providing timely and accurate financial support to the Programmes, Development and Research teams to assist them with forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation and (donor) reporting
• Supporting with the month end procedures such as balance sheet reconciliations, depreciation, month end adjustments, salary and overhead allocations
• Gathering monthly payroll information and reviewing monthly payroll reports
• Assisting with the administration of the pension scheme and of employee benefits
• Preparing quarterly Gift Aid claims and maintaining the relevant supporting documentation
• Assisting with the year-end statutory accounts preparation, audit and budget setting process
• Ensuring that the filing is done in a timely manner and that all paperwork is up to date
