About the role:

We are seeking someone pragmatic, able to manage upwards and who is happy to work on their own initiative as part of a remote team. A willingness to support colleagues, think creatively, to question and to challenge will be essential. This role involves planning, executing and overseeing one or more projects and a PMO while effectively communicating and managing stakeholder expectations.

This new role will lead the establishment of a re-designed Project Management Office (PMO) to provide proportionate and strategic support, aligned to delivery approaches of NFCC. By adopting a tiered, integrated and flexible approach NFCC can enhance decision-making and support project delivery and assurance across the organisation.

As an established PMO Manager, you will bring your experience in setting up PMOs and use your knowledge of a diverse range of project management methodologies. You will be enthusiastic about making a difference and are able to bring people with you as you drive change. You will be an excellent communicator, with experience of facilitation. Influencing skills and proven experience in managing change are essential.

This role includes up to 50% of time spent managing organisation-wide priority projects. You will be responsible for managing existing projects to completion and initiating and managing to completion new projects if required. You must ensure projects are delivered to time, within budget and to the required quality criteria.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Legal Counsel to join our In-House Legal team at SNG for a fixed term contract for 1 year. You'll be working 27 hours a week reporting into one of our Senior Legal Counsels and working together with Legal Advisers and other Legal Counsels.

Based in the Hurn office, you'll combine home and office working. There will be some requirements to travel to our other offices as and when required, so you should be happy to travel.

The role

You'll be responsible for your own caseload of legal cases as well as working with senior members of the team to partner with the business to resolve more complex legal cases and provide strategic input, including but not limited to:

• Managing legal processes for statutory Right to Acquire and statutory Preserved Right to Buy applications received by SNG. This includes all eligibility, drafting of all statutory notices and the entire conveyancing process.
• Carrying out legal work required for asset management of a shared ownership property portfolio including, acting for the landlord on staircasing of shared ownership leases; dealing with repossessions of shared ownership leases; acting on assignments of shared ownership leases – to include transfers of the superior title on 100% staircasing when required
• Advising on an extensive range of property matters involving leasehold estates, whether SNG is landlord or leaseholder, including service charge provisions and legislation, understanding the extent of obligations, tenancy breach, replies to enquiries, etc
• Carrying out legal reviews of title, planning, estate documents and leases to provide reports and advice on the above.

What we're looking for

You'll need previous experience in a similar legal role, with experience in legal matters relating to Property. We need you to have transactional experience but experience of portfolio asset management is desirable.  We will provide training on aspects of property law work that are less commonly carried out where you may not have dealt with previously eg Right to Buy/Acquire rules.

You'll also need:

• To hold a valid Practising Certificate (or equivalent) to ensure you can carry out Reserved Work as defined by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, as well as be responsible for the supervision of members of the team who are not qualified to undertake Reserved Work
• 2 years + PQE working within a law firm, in-house legal department, housing association or local authority and managing own legal caseload of similar cases
• Strong understanding of Landlord and Tenant law and substantial experience of drafting Transfers of Whole Part and residential leases
• Excellent planning skills with the ability to prioritise your work and able to meet the demands of statutory timescales
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop strong working relationships within the Legal team, with internal clients and other third-party stakeholders
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion

Job Title: Dad Matters Coordinator x2

Hours: Part time, 18.5 hours a week.  Work patterns and hours will be agreed with the successful candidates.

Home-Start Surrey is a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with young children. Our mission is to give children the best start in life by supporting parents, especially during challenging times.

Dad Matters Surrey exists to support dads to have the best possible relationship with their families. We do this by providing 1:1 and group peer support, helping Dads make sense of parenthood, and providing or signposting Dads to mental health support and access to relevant services. Working closely with other professionals, we are able to better support dads in the first 1001 days of their parenting journey.

As Dad Matters Coordinator your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver face-to-face support and engagement with dads.
• Raise awareness of mental health and parenting support available to fathers.
• Support volunteers with lived experience of fatherhood.
• Collaborate with Home-Start Coordinators to ensure holistic family support.

• Confident working independently and as part of a small team.
• Knowledgeable about perinatal mental health and the challenges faced by dads.

As Viva's Finance & Operations Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of the organisation’s finance and operational systems. You’ll be in a hands-on role, responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, financial administration, and supporting core operational processes for the UK charity and overseas entities. Working alongside the COO and Finance Director, you will help ensure Viva remains financially sound, compliant and efficient. Through all this, you will play a vital role in making it possible for Viva to achieve its goal of enabling more children to live life in all its fullness.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Finance: undertaking and managing the efficient day-to-day operation of Viva’s finance function 
• Operations: ensuring the effective operation of our logistics, IT infrastructure and data

This role will suit you if:

• you have a demonstrated track record of financial management experience
• you are experienced in managing operational systems, in particular IT and data protection
• you have an accountancy qualification e.g. minimum AAT Level 3 
• you are a great problem solver with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail

Location: this role can be remote, hybrid or office-based in Viva’s Oxford office with occasional travel to the office or other locations in the UK

This will involve budgeting and ensuring effective systems are in place to meet customers’ expectations. You will successfully lead and manage your team, providing clear direction, motivation, support, and feedback. As well as play an active role in recruiting, inducting, and developing each team member supporting them to perform at their best with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
