We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to conduct advanced statistical modelling as part of a major research project at RoSPA, funded by the Lloyd’s Register Foundation whose World Risk Poll dataset will be analysed in this work. The project will assess the links between socioeconomic inequalities and workplace harms on a global scale. You will be central to designing, conducting and writing up this ground-breaking research project with the support of the wider policy team. An ability to conduct regression analyses on large datasets, work independently, design research programmes and manage your time effectively will be crucial for this role.
This would be an ideal role for recent master’s or PhD graduates or someone completing a research degree, though we welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
Key responsibilities:
- To use advanced statistical skills (including regression analysis) and other research and writing skills to support the delivery on time and to the required standard of a report on global inequalities and workplace safety for the Lloyd’s Register Foundation Grant ‘How does inequality shape the risk of unintentional injury at work?’.
- To work with the Research Manager and Programme and Impact Manager to track and plan the delivery of this project, and to update them on progress
- To actively support the launch of the report, including through providing relevant internal stakeholders with insights into the findings and research process.
- To support the dissemination of these findings to a wide audience, including non-specialists.
- To support the wider Policy Directorate with occasional ad hoc research tasks and associated work.
Do you have…
Qualifications and experience:
- A postgraduate qualification in or involving a significant component on statistical methods for social sciences or public health (desirable)
- A good undergraduate degree in the above and excellent numerical literacy (essential)
- The ability to conduct regression analyses and other advanced statistical techniques (essential)
- Experience with carrying out research, including research design, literature review and writing up (essential)

Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.
- The purpose of this role is to provide direct support to victims of crime ensuring that the North Wales Victim Help Centre realise their aim of helping people cope and recover from the effects of crime.
- North Wales Victim Help Centre serves diverse communities, many of whom experience a range of barriers that may impact on their ability to cope and recover from what they have experienced. These can include financial distress; social isolation; reduced mobility; mental and physical health issues; substance use and lack of opportunity. North Wales VHC aims to identify what matters to service users and empower them to take control of their journey.
- The post holder will deliver needs led support to victims of crime and provide peer support to volunteers who are engaged in supporting service users. The Victim Help Caseworkers will work with a range of external partners, including the police, statutory agencies and other third sector organisations developing strong links in the community to meet the needs of service users.
- Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the post holder will assist in the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service.

About the Role
Advice Giving
- Deliver a multi-channel advice service, including home visits, to clients regarding their energy needs and income maximisation support, ensuring advice provided meets the requirements of Citizens Advice quality standards.
- Ensure all case recording and other record keeping is completed within agreed timescales and conforms to the Office Manual and the Advice Quality Standards
- Use sensitive listening and questioning skills in order to allow clients to explain their problem(s) and to identify the next course of action.
- Use a range of information sources to find relevant information, then interpret and communicate this to clients, enabling them to tackle fuel poverty and financial hardship for the long-term.
- Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer internally or to other specialist agencies as appropriate.

About us
This role is part of a brand-new service which is being delivered across Liverpool and will provide dedicated energy and welfare support to individuals who are vulnerable and in or at risk of fuel poverty.
As Energy Adviser, you will provide a multi-channel advice service, including home visits, to fuel poor and vulnerable consumers who are struggling to pay their bills or require better deals on energy. That advice will include:

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Development
- Work closely with the Youth Work Manager and wider youth team in developing and delivering creative, inclusive and needs-led programmes, activities and services for young people that promote their wellbeing and enhance their life chances.
- Actively promote the meaningful participation of young people in shaping the ongoing development of Blend Youth Project service delivery.
- Work effectively across Blend sites and delivery locations in a range of contexts including: open drop-in sessions, alternative education provision, project-based delivery, community projects, detached work, 1:1 mentoring, residentials and school-based work.
- Function as the ‘Lead Worker’ within a variety of delivery contexts and conduct yourself as a role model in youth work practice, providing practice-based support to other staff/volunteers as required.

About the role:
This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.
As a Helpline Adviser you will:
- Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies
- Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.

We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and support residents into independent accommodation. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building.
We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Ewhurst Road team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Housing
- Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living.
- Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law.
- Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team.
Coaching and Engagement
- Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
- Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
- Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
- Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

- Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working

About the role:
This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with limited hybrid working, you must be prepared to support perpetrators of domestic abuse holistically to address their support needs in order for them to be ready to engage in a behaviour change programme.
As a Perpetrator Caseworker you will:
- Work with male perpetrators to access services, i.e housing, mental health support and drug and alcohol services.
- Encourage positive options for behaviour change throughout the service user's time in the service. Using a combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of skills to encourage service users to address their abusive behaviour.
You will need:
- Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and stalking, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available.
- Belief in perpetrator behaviour change.
- Empathy and the ability to support and guide your service users, demonstrating excellent advisory, negotiation & persuasive skills.
- Experience of working directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse in a statutory, voluntary, social or community work setting.
- A good knowledge of effective ways of working/engaging with perpetrators of domestic abuse.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including networking skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with other agencies.
- Ideally a background in Domestic Abuse Services, Probation, Homelessness or the Police would be advantageous.

Job Summary
Advance delivers nationally accredited, high quality domestic abuse services across London. Advance's domestic abuse services are community based and include local authority commissioned advocacy services, co-located projects in a range of settings such as housing and children’s social care, and specialist projects for victim/survivors with different intersecting needs including children and young people.
As a Peripatetic Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA), you will provide front line support across Advance’s domestic abuse services, covering vacancies across teams to ensure service delivery remains effective and consistent. You will cover a range of roles all involving advocacy and support of people experiencing domestic abuse; some roles may also involve co-locating with partner agencies, delivering training or undertaking triage and assessment work. This role leads on the development and delivery of community organising initiatives and supports the wider integration of these methods across King’s. Through community organising, the role empowers school leaders, young people and parents to design, launch and sustain impactful campaigns. About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver support in the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre (MHUCC) at Lister Hospital.
The MHUCC provides a dedicated space and service for rapid mental health assessment, intervention, and referral, thereby enhancing the quality of care and optimising use of systemwide resources. It provides 24-hour access to specialist mental health assessment aimed at supporting service users to access the least restrictive care and treatment options. It creates a systemwide response to acute mental health crisis that enables people’s needs to be met with the right care at the right time.
About the Role:
The Support, Time and Recovery (STAR) Worker will be based at the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre at Lister Hospital, promoting joint working and creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The STAR workers will work closely with individuals in a mental health crisis currently in the MHUCC, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect.
You will have a key role with safe and supportive observations and attending to the service users on the unit. You will provide support for carers and liaise with the wider services to support smooth and timely discharge of service users back to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide a consistent presence in the MHUCC for individuals with mental health needs to access for support.
- To advocate for service users, explaining organisations and pathways.
- To provide immediate information and advice about managing wellbeing, reducing risk and onward signposting and referral into wider HMN services and VCFSE organisations.
- To facilitate a clear and easily accessible pathway into the wider Nightlight Crisis Alternative services for individuals, to support timely MHUCC discharge, as an alternative to statutory crisis intervention, or as a supplement to wider care and treatment plans.
- To gather feedback and evaluation on patient experience in the MHUCC
- To develop sound and extensive knowledge of local resources to support in enabling appropriate referrals where necessary.
- To link in with wider Herts Mind Network services and facilitate referrals
- To ensure that a collaborative approach is used, with effective communication links developed with external professional NHS services and to work as an effective member of any multi-disciplinary team. This will require stringent relationships.
- To support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our HMN Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.
