What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.
In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the London Landmarks Half Marathon and the Royal Parks Half Marathon. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.
Your responsibilities will span the full event cycle; from setting budgets and developing marketing plans, to building supporter communications, managing event logistics, providing on-the-day support, and overseeing remittance and thanking — ensuring we maximise income and deliver exceptional supporter experiences.
Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events. Working with our Communications teams, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with the strongest case studies, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us long after they cross the finish line.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a dedicated person to join our established, experienced and high-performing Events and Community Fundraising team, that has ambitious plans to grow income to £16M+ by 2030. As a team, we work hard to combine our strengths and motivate each other and share a passion for success. You’ll be joining an experienced and supportive team that will help you grow your strengths and support your development.
You’ll have experience working in a sporting events team with a background of assisting or leading with the delivery of large-scale events, covering aspects such as marketing, communications and event delivery. Ideally with a fundraising background to enable you to hit the ground running. You’ll also have excellent communication skills and can motivate and inspire for our cause. Strong organisational skills will be combined with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.
You’ll have the energy and passion to provide crucial input to this sector-leading team. About the role
The Head of Income Generation and Marketing will play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial sustainability and social impact of our organisation. This 12-month position—open to both employees and consultants—will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive income generation strategy across our three social businesses: our women’s-only gym and studio, our community café, and our meeting room hire service.

Our women-only gym provides a safe and empowering environment for over 600 women to move, learn, and thrive. Led by trauma-informed trainers with expertise in women’s health, it offers 29 weekly classes that prioritise confidence, joy, and holistic wellbeing rather than weight loss. The gym embodies our commitment to preventative health and creates an inclusive community where women of all ages and backgrounds can focus on their strength, resilience, and self-care. As a cornerstone of our trading model, it sustains our mission while directly advancing it.
The gym has seen significant growth in both membership and the breadth of its offer, establishing itself as a trusted and empowering space for women’s health and wellbeing. With excellent member retention rates and a strong reputation for inclusivity, safety, and quality, the gym is now well positioned for its next stage of development. The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community
Our café is the social heart of The Bridge — a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space where everyone can connect, share, and feel at home. Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.
While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. This work will ensure the café continues to embody our values while contributing significantly to the financial sustainability of The Bridge
Room Hire – Spaces that Enable Collaboration and Impact
Our professional meeting and event spaces are used by charities, community groups, and corporate partners for workshops, training, and strategic planning. With over 500 bookings a year and a 89% return rate, these rooms are known for their quality, warmth, and service. The income they generate supports our wider mission, while also acting as a catalyst for new partnerships and collaborations.
We now aim to build on this success by increasing utilisation on our most popular days (Tuesday to Thursday) and attracting new clients to fill capacity on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. Plans include developing loyalty packages for regular clients and introducing new offers such as team wellbeing days that align with our health and wellbeing ethos. This approach will not only maximise income potential but also strengthen The Bridge’s role as a space where organisations connect, collaborate, and thrive.
Key responsibilities:
1. Income Generation Strategy

Develop and implement a comprehensive income generation strategy for our social businesses (women’s-only gym and studio, café, and meeting room hire).

North Wales Community Law is a charity established in 2023 that provides free legal advice to people in North Wales. We have a small team of caseworkers and we want to grow our team to enable us to support more people. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to our vision to make sure that everyone in North Wales has access to the services and expertise they need to uphold their rights, fight inequality and challenge injustice.
We are looking for a solicitor or experienced caseworker to provide specialist housing or family law casework and advice under the supervision of our Legal Services Director. Based in our offices in Llandudno Junction, the role will involve regular travel to community based outreach clinics in North Wales, particularly Gwynedd and Ynys Mon.
We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience of relevant Welsh housing legislation and qualified solicitors with experience of legally aided civil litigation.

Duties
- To provide legal advice and casework assistance and give appropriate advice and support to clients, managing your own caseload and making applications for public funding as required.
- To liaise with landlords’ and other parties’ representatives, solicitors, other agencies and groups as required.
- To ensure that all casework, advice, and assistance complies with the requirements of the organisation’s processes, accreditations and, where publicly funded, complies with the requirements of the Legal Aid Agency.
- To collate evidence and work in partnership with other advice providers locally and regionally to influence the development of policy and legislation in relation to housing and domestic abuse.
- To undertake outreach work, including liaising with local communities, delivering talks and presentations to groups, and visiting community settings as appropriate. Work from various locations as reasonably required.
- To inform and participate in our public legal education work, to promote North Wales Community Law and a rights-respecting culture in north Wales.
- To actively engage with local community groups and organisations, bringing together our experience, skills and knowledge with that of others, sharing learning wherever possible.

Respite and Care Executives play a significant role in enabling our beneficiaries to continue to be independent for as long as possible and when/if they require formal care, they can support them during this time too. They work closely with the Advocacy Team and the Friendships and Connections team to ensure that all their needs are met.
We are looking for a candidate to cover Maternity Leave for 14 months. They will work alongside the current post holder and the other team members for 2 months to learn the role and take over existing cases. They will form part of the existing Respite, Care and Advocacy Team and work closely with other members of the team as well as other colleagues in the Operations Directorate (mainly Welfare).
An articulate communicator with IT skills suited to working in a paperless environment, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to relate to people of all ages as well as professionals such as external case working organisations, RAF stations, care providers, those who have lasting power of attorney (LPA). You must have an understanding of the social care system and the Mental Capacity Act.
The role is based in our London HQ, with a minimum of three days working in the office per week. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Standard DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Community Navigator (SPA) – Mental Health

Hours: 37 hours per week, (Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00)
Location: Eaglestone Health Centre, Milton Keynes
This role is an opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Milton Keynes NHS mental health service for someone with experience working in health, social care or information and advice, in direct contact with service users.
Working alongside colleagues from Central Northwest London Foundation Trust (CNWL) this role will provide referral management to and from Secondary Services. This will include signposting patients to statutory services including talking therapies and wider community based & voluntary sector support.
The role also includes answering calls through the NHS 111 Mental Health Option whereby you will be required to assess risks in real time and appropriately managing the call, escalating when necessary.
The Community Navigator will work as part of the team to deliver on the aims and objectives of the Mental Health Hub whilst representing the Voluntary and Community sector with the NHS.
Service Delivery
- Work within the NHS Mental Health SPA (Single Point of Access) Team to review and process referrals received from GP Practices and other sources including those to be subsequently triaged and assessed by mental health practitioners.
- Actively call patients with a view to assisting them through the process and making their onward appointments into community or secondary care service providers.
- Support the hub to signpost patients and direct them to appropriate services including secondary care, the local Voluntary and Community sector services and activities that support the patients’ wider determinates of their mental health and wellbeing.
- Answer calls, ensure sufficient phone cover, respond to messages/voicemails, provide administrative support to the Mental Health SPA for all services and deal with queries in a sensitive and timely way liaising with clinical or team lead as is appropriate.
- Monitor service inboxes during core office hours, responding to any queries professionally providing helpful information.
- Monitor and action tasks within SystmOne and maintain records of all activities carried out, i.e. outbound calls, calls received, archiving any received correspondence.
- Build good working relationships with the voluntary and community sector, relevant services and activities to ensure signposting pathways are kept up to date as well navigating and developing the setup of new signposting pathways through networking.
- Provide clinical and non-clinical information in appropriate chronological templates to other services.
- Carry out health and safety responsibilities as directed by Managers in line with Mind BLMK’s H&S policies, procedures, and guidance (risk assessments, reviews, reporting, safeguarding, incidents/accidents, premises).
- To bring VCSE experience, knowledge and culture into an NHS team.

You will primarily provide telephone-based advice, with additional support via face-to-face meetings, email, online chat, and video appointments. You will work with clients referred from Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) and other health organisations, gathering information about their circumstances, offering tailored guidance, and acting on their behalf when required.
