We are looking for a standout relationship manager to join our fantastic team of fundraisers who work tirelessly to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer. A great personality and team ethic are really important in this role as you will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement' team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

East Midlands is filled with some of our most committed supporters and there is so much opportunity to grow our supporter base across the region. Our Social Workers support families from across the counties and our Home from Home 'Billy's House' in Nottingham enables families to stay close to their loved one for free during treatment, so building relationships with these teams is a must.

The post holder will be fully involved in all aspects of the day to day management of their designated service, including line managing the relevant front line staff. What you'll do:

Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication
Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisations succession plans
Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly
Develop key business relationships with all appropriate relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch
Participate in and monitor the initial and continuous assessment of needs and ensure that support planning is carried out in line with assessed needs of the customer
Carry out other administrative tasks as relevant to the service and directed by the Contract/Heads of Operations
Deliver an out of hours on-call service for region, where required
Ensure that all safeguarding cases are managed in line with safeguarding protocols and are reported to Contract Manager/Head of Operations, as appropriate
Ensure Look Ahead Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols

Right now, one of our partners, Aquarius Action Projects, is looking for a Practitioner to join their team. Solihull Integrated Addiction Service (SIAS) is a partnership between four organisations jointly responsible for the delivery of the drug, alcohol, homelessness, and gambling services, in the Borough of Solihull. We offer services for adults who use or are affected by substance use, homelessness, and gambling.

Your challenge? As a Hospital Complex Needs Practitioner, you will be working with clients within UHB hospital primarily Heartlands/Solihull hospital and various other settings in the community. You will be supporting clients in addressing their substance needs and liaising with medical professionals on the wards within the hospital and in the community. We are looking for someone who can complete both brief and psychosocial interventions and hold a caseload.

You need to be able to work independently and will be multi-agency working, working with HCAs to Consultants daily. You will need to be able to deliver training in person and online and attend meetings and feed back in meetings associated with the hospital.

We are looking for an energetic and confident self-starter with a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse and housing and homelessness field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office. You will need to be able to work flexibly in terms of working hours to support your clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Head of Digital to join our Brand and Marketing Communications team on a 12 month maternity contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a newly formed digital responsible for both digital experience and digital engagement.

You will provide strategic expertise and direction to ensure that digital team are supported to deliver integrated and best practice marketing campaigns. Champion the ongoing development of the Young Lives vs Cancer website and work with the Digital Experience Manager to refine the roadmap for improvements.

This is a key role in championing the impact of digital expertise within the organisation, supporting the team to create a data driven and innovative approach to activity, through continuous iteration and improvement. Working with stakeholders across the organisation in order to realise the potential of digital solutions and channels to deliver excellent online experiences.

Our Peripatetic Team provide front-line support to Solace’s Advice, Community and Accommodation-based Services across London. Peripatetic Workers enable our services to deliver a consistent, high standard of service.

The team was created in order to have trained, skilled staff ready to cover gaps in service and facilitate the continued smooth running of services, proactively supporting women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

The role combines strategic leadership, internal and external coordination, and lots of hands-on development of funding applications, reports and much more. It's a pivotal role, helping to ensure the financial sustainability of CALP.

The role holder will manage and cultivate strong relationships with donors and members of the network, including the funding teams in our host organisations through whom funding flows. They will lead in identifying new funding opportunities and sustaining effective relationships with existing donors. The Donor Relations Manager leads and develops CALP’s fundraising strategy and activities to enable CALP to finance its overall strategy. Essential Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge 

• Degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate technical field, or equivalent level of professional experience.
• Significant, proven experience of generating substantial funding including proven ability to develop funding strategies, plan effectively and deliver complex funding applications and donor reports.
• High level experience and knowledge of key humanitarian and development donors such as: ECHO, BHA/USAID, GFFO, FCDO and European government donors.
• Knowledge and experience of working with consortium-based funding.
• Proven strategic design and management skills including good programme development ability and proven knowledge of M&E at project and programme levels.
• Significant experience with budgeting, financial reporting, including managing and reporting on complex programme budgets.
• Ability to develop and manage complex relationships.
• Proven experience of funding management systems/databases.
• Very strong conceptual and analytical skills, including excellent facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English - report writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely and to motivate and persuade at high levels.

Following 5 successful years (2018-2023) of running Positive Pathways in Yorkshire and Middlesbrough, Church Urban Fund have partnered with Doncaster City Complex Lives Team – an alliance of  agencies working to deliver a highly integrated approach to support people who have become locked in a cycle of homelessness, rough sleeping, addiction, offending behaviour, poor physical and mental health - to continue our work to support people that have experienced Homelessness in the local area.

 

In this role, you'll provide vital housing support for those exiting homelessness, ensuring they maintain their tenancies. Collaborating closely with colleagues and services, you'll offer tailored assistance to help clients secure and sustain their tenancies. Responsibilities include facilitating engagement with services, maintaining support plans, and addressing barriers to progress. You will also contribute to exit plans and engage with clients on personal growth and community integration.
