This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our Brent team. You will bring energy, compassion, and resilience to make a real change to the life chances of young people in the UK asylum system.

You will be responsible for supporting young people aged 14-25 years, enabling them to access a range of social, emotional, and practical support as they navigate the complex and challenging processes of the UK asylum system.You will help us run activities for young people at our advice hub on Wednesday evenings in Brent and run our youth group on Thursday evenings in Brent n as well as our sporting activities and trips.

You will work closely with our Brent Youth Development Coordinator. You will need to be able to work under pressure, acting as a consistent and stable point of contact for young people, ensuring that their safety and well-being are paramount.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have the following:

· Demonstrable experience in supporting vulnerable young people in a similar role, particularly through youth activities in 1;1 and/or group settings, or befriending/mentoring 

· Good knowledge of the UK asylum system and the related challenges facing young refugees and asylum-seekers in contingency accommodation

· Strong ability to problem-solve, research information and solutions, and to take initiative

· Working knowledge of child protection issues and safeguarding processes 

· Ability to empathise, communicate and engage effectively with young people in distress 

· Ability to handle complex, sensitive and confidential information appropriately

· You are available to work on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

About the role: 

As a Sport Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering varied activity sessions for both adults and young people across different services, both internally and externally. You will work closely with the Sport Manager to effectively coordinate support from freelancers and volunteers. Your role will extend to broadening the accessibility of sports and exercise within SHP's services and among its residents, for both adults and the young people we support. Additionally, you'll play a key part in growing the programmes reach, forging partnerships with similar organisations and charities, while also advocating for the significance of physical activity within the homeless community. 

The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients supporting them to engage in regular physical activity, and see an improvement in their overall health.

 Role description

As Commercial Sales & Events Coordinator you’ll provide essential administrative and operational support to the weddings and event hire team. Dealing with initial enquiries and conducting show-rounds to putting together event packages and maintaining the booking system are all in a days work. This is a key new role in the Grants, Community and Corporate Partnerships Unit to help maximise corporate and community partnership opportunities and help scale up this growing income stream for future years.  This locally based role will support current partnerships (including golf clubs, churches, schools and local corporates) as well as scoping new opportunities across Surrey. Responsibilities

1. Account Management

• Day to day/ support account management of select corporate and community partnerships. This will be agreed with their manager per partnership (who will retain leadership), but could include:
  • General stewardship including thanking and recording information on our CRM database (Donorfy) and shared drives.
  • Representing the unit at local level events and/ or delivering marketing materials to community partners.
  • Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates
• Being key relationship holder for select local corporate partnerships and community groups such as primary schools, churches, supermarkets, amateur sports clubs
• Database admin including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements 
• Supporting individuals from companies or community groups to fundraise for us

2. Income generation

• Mapping (desktop research) of corporate and community opportunities across Surrey to support unit’s business development plans
• Management of a pipeline of golf clubs, making timely approaches to help the unit secure new captains’ charities
• Support role on larger corporate and community partnership pitches. 

3. Event support

• Event management and/ or support for events across the unit. 
• Represent Eikon at local external events such as conferences, expos, fetes and fairs.

4. Marketing, Communications and relationships

• Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials as well as maximising social media opportunities for corporate and community groups

5. Strategy

About the Role

As an Arts Coordinator, you will design and deliver creative arts activities for young people, overseeing the programmes for the Arts and Crafts room, Dance/Drama studio, Film and Media room, and the Music Studio.

Summary

As Community Fundraising Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for people fundraising in their community for Diabetes UK. • Demonstrate knowledge in the specific reasons why Kooth compliments referrer needs (our key ‘selling’ points) e.g.
  • for education professionals: out of school mental health support, aligns with Ofsted assessment criteria, positive mental well being improves education outcomes, specific support for students around exams
  • for healthcare professionals: reducing the 8am rush at GPs, taking the pressure off other care pathways and mental health waiting lists, NHS cost savings, supporting crisis step down, reduce A&E presentations, providing equity of access with our whole population service 
• Build confidence and skills in presenting to and engaging a professional audience of broad disciplinary backgrounds
• Regular recording (weekly) of all new contacts and activity/ engagement of CYP and professionals on Salesforce
• Host stalls at high footfall public events, including Freshers Fairs, and attend key regional network and partnership meetings to support and promote Kooth (and Qwell where appropriate)
• Organise, present or support national & regional KoothTalks Training webinars to professionals and national webinars to CYP when requested
• Follow up all requests from local referrers who attended a national webinar in a timely manner

Manage the distribution of promotional materials

• Send monthly newsletters, printed promotional materials and/or digital resource packs to all referrer contacts
• Email the correct tailored newsletter to referrer contacts in a timely manner every month
• Manage the ordering and distribution of printed promotional materials within the monthly credits allocate
• Ensure the appropriate digital assets and links to referrer information hubs are included in all external referrer communications

Raise awareness via social media 

• Promote Kooth (and Qwell where applicable) via local social media networks to teachers, parents, healthcare professionals and local organisations
• Regularly post information about Kooth to local networks on LinkedIn, Meta and Twitter
• Quarterly - aim to post a video or story about Kooth on Instagram or TikTok

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Experienced presenter and communicator to young people, confident talking to large groups of 11 - 18 year olds in a face to face setting
• Efficiently manage own time and engagement commitments
• Able to source and build relationships with professionals in education, primary care and voluntary sectors
• Experienced presenter and communicator to adults in a professional capacity
• Able to review output and outcomes and see where improvements can be made by analysing data
• Understand how to create and use excel spreadsheets and/or data-recording systems such as SalesForce
• Use a range of social media platforms and services to raise awareness for the business, beyond personal use
