YMCA Milton Keynes & Northamptonshire is growing, and we are looking for a Trusts, Foundations & Commissioning Manager to support our ambitious plans by securing both capital and revenue funding. We already have a highly engaged trusts and foundations portfolio and we are looking for someone to join the team to both manage existing relationships and identify and develop new potential. Whereas our commissioning arm is a brand-new income stream for YMCA and this role will oversee our statutory relationships, expanding our contracted work against strategic objectives, along with reporting on funder requirements against service specifications. 

Cross team collaboration is crucial for this role, building strong relationships to be able to identify need, develop bids that meet this need and reporting against agreed outcomes. A keen interest in monitoring and evaluation would also add value. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, experienced fundraiser, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, within the charity sector. They will be an excellent writer, strong communicator and a natural relationship builder who drives results in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for two Development Managers to join our Development team focusing on Individual Giving and Trust and Foundation Fundraising.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The Development Manager (Trust and Foundations) will manage the strategic development of Trusts and Foundations fundraising, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee income generation from grant-making organisations and ensure timely reporting to funders.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:

• Drive growth of Trusts and Foundations income especially at the five- and six-figure level, with a particular view to supporting unrestricted income and major projects in the organisation’s pipeline.
• Proactively manage a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, regularly meeting and engaging with prospective funders to pitch proposals and check-in around expectations. 
• Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders.

Person Specification:

At least five years’ experience in fundraising would be preferred.

Philanthropy Manager

About the role:

We are looking to appoint an experienced Philanthropy Manager to proactively lead the cultivation and stewardship of potential and existing major donors, trusts and statutory bodies, with a particular focus on driving significant income growth.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Engagement, the Philanthropy Manager will drive the growth of a portfolio of existing supporters and new prospects giving at the five and six figure gift level, with a particular focus on generating major gifts from new donors. The postholder will think strategically to develop inspiring fundraising cases of support, and impact reporting working closely with Care service colleagues, the finance team and the wider fundraising and engagement team.

This role has line management responsibility for three experienced fundraisers who manage their own portfolios of Major Donors, Trusts, and Foundations.

The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.

The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.

The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target.
