We have an exciting new opportunity to join us as our Head of Communications and be a driving force in making that shift by creatively leading strategic communications and campaigns.
You will also play an important role by working with an external agency on the development of a new legacy proposition and supporting materials, as well as working on internal legacy promotions and staff training.
In this role you will lead our media, social media, campaigns and engagement functions, as well as project teams across the charity. You'll grow our engagement with diverse audiences and support them to take action towards ambitious campaign goals.

Our location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role there is plenty of scope for working from home, although there will be occasions when you will need to attend directorate days and face to face meetings. In addition, the charity meets four times a year at the office in Hatfield for our mandatory 'All Staff Together' days.

Key responsibilities and duties:
The role comprises of the following key areas of responsibility:
· Executive Assistant to CEO
Provide full support to the CEO, including but not limited to:
o Overseeing the diary of the CEO, prioritising meetings and scheduling time for reading, thinking and preparing, ensuring meeting materials are to hand.
o Providing ‘right-hand’ support, undertaking research, ensuring CEO is up to date with all projects and pre-empting needs.
o Secretarial – supporting emails, creating presentations, keeping management files organised and up to date within SharePoint.
· Executive Assistant to Chair
Provide full support to the Chair in any administrative activities that relate to her role as Chair, including but not limited to:
o Overseeing calendar appointments, and ensuring the Chair is prepared for meetings.
o Providing ‘right hand’ support in communication with staff and Board, scheduling meetings and providing administrative support as required.
· Governance and administrative support to the Overcoming MS Board
Provide governance and administrative support to the Overcoming MS Board of trustees, including:
o Scheduling Board, committee and Strategy meetings and making the necessary arrangements (eg booking venues, setting up virtual meetings via Teams/ Zoom).
o Preparation of documentation for meetings including circulation of agendas, compiling Board packs for the Board of Trustees and committee meetings, taking accurate minutes and co-ordinating follow up actions.
o Supporting the Chair and CEO in the recruitment and induction of new Trustees.
o Providing administrative support for working groups, for example, making arrangements for meetings, circulating agendas and papers.
· Internal HR administrative lead
Fully supported with external expertise, to provide administrative support for the team, including:
o Advertising vacant roles, coordinating recruitment, sifting applicants, arranging interviews.
o Onboarding new starters, including references, contracts, setting up new starters on the systems, inducting starters in organisational processes.
o Supporting ongoing team development including coordinating training, staff surveys and appraisals.
o Coordinating leavers, including exit interviews, leavers forms and relevant administration.
· Internal IT administrative lead
Fully supported by our external IT agency, to provide administrative support for the team, including:
o Regular meetings with IT agency to ensure correct licenses, equipment and protections are in place.
o Coordination of hardware and software for new starters, equipment provided and returned for leavers.
· Management of Overcoming MS contact enquiries
o Regularly check the Overcoming MS contacts mailbox and manage its contents, responding or delegating to Overcoming MS team members where appropriate, and ensuring follow up is completed.
o Manage the Overcoming MS telephone number to ensure queries are dealt with efficiently.
o Draw themes from regularly occurring queries, to make sure any trends are picked up and addressed effectively.
· General organisational support
o Provide ad hoc project management support to organisational improvement projects, including supporting project team meetings, developing project plans and tracking progress.
o Travel/ meeting arrangements – arrange meetings, attendance at conferences and book rooms and making travel arrangements as necessary.
o Coordination with our outsourced storage facility.
o Policy support – maintenance of the policy tracker, coordinating the reviewing and updating of policies.

Job Purpose
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Communications and Engagement Officer who can effectively convey the life-changing impact of our work, motivate our community to volunteer, donate and fundraise to support our work, and ensure that the information and educational resources we provide reach those who need them most.
Key Responsibilities
Communications:
· Act as the first point of contact for IPWSO’s public email address and social media channels and ensure timely and appropriate replies.
· Manage IPWSO’s social media channels, creating original and engaging content and posts, and actively engaging with our audiences.
· Manage Google Ad Grant campaigns with an emphasis on growing our supporter base and increasing individual giving.

Development Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding The Churchill Fellowship’s income from Trusts, Foundations, and other institutional funders. Working closely with the Development Director, the post holder will identify, cultivate and secure new funding partnerships that support our core Fellowship programme, unrestricted income, and the Activate Programme in line with our organisational priorities.
The postholder will manage the full funder journey, from initial engagement to long-term stewardship, ensuring all relationships are grown and managed professionally and effectively. They will work closely with relevant departments to coordinate proposals, reports, and communications, helping maintain strong connections with funders.
Key responsibilities
Prospecting and Pipeline Development
- Research and identify new potential supporters, primarily from the Trusts & Foundations sector, with some engagement of aligned individuals or family-foundation prospects in conjunction with the wider Development Team.
- Support the Development Director in delivering targeted cultivation and engagement strategies to grow new income streams.
- Build and maintain a healthy, dynamic pipeline of qualified new business opportunities.
- Monitor sector trends to identify emerging supporters and new partnership opportunities
Approaches and Proposal Development

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Development Officer and the Director of Development (EA to CDO and DoD) will provide proactive senior-level support within a busy office and theatre environment.
The EA to CDO and DoD will support the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and the Director of Development (DoD) in delivering their roles efficiently and effectively, focusing on comprehensive inbox and diary management to ensure strategic prioritisation of commitments. Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.

Role purpose
The main purposes of this role are:
- Researching, identifying and applying for grant funding and commissioning from statutory sources, trusts and foundations (T&F)

- Maintaining an up-to-date market awareness of grant-making trends and best practice in T&F fundraising
- Developing the overall statutory and T & F strategy with oversight from the Development Director

Relationships
- Managing relationships with Statutory sources and T&F funding Tender, building a deep understanding of the needs and requirements of each funder
- Developing and executing stewardship and relationship management plans for T&F to maximise the value and duration of their support for Tender
- Overseeing the production of high-quality monitoring reports for T&F, and using insights from funded programmes to develop case for support materials

Who you are

This is a key role in fulfilling CEASE’s aim to drive legislative reform that strengthens accountability, scrutiny and regulation of all parts of the commercial sex industry and other vested commercial interests, which are driving sexual violence, abuse and exploitation. It is about holding the UK government accountable in its duty to protect citizens from high-harm industries, appealing to robust evidence, survivor testimony and a careful critical analysis of the ideological justifications that uphold it.
The work crosses multiple different areas, from policing, online safety and child protection to violence against women and girls (VAWG). It involves close collaboration with experts and partner organisations through strategic partnerships and coalitions, and the building of trusted relationships with MPs, Peers, civil servants and other decision-makers.
This role sits within the Activism strand of CEASE’s strategy, alongside media outreach and commercial advocacy, and works closely with the Chief Executive and Strategic Director
Main Duties and Responsibilities
A. Strategic Leadership

Work closely and effectively with the Chief Executive, Strategic Director and Trustees to advise on priorities and opportunities within this space.

Develop both short- and long-term political strategies to engage key stakeholders with CEASE’s policy solutions.
