Summary of the role:

The Supporter Relations Engagement Team is involved in the planning and development of programmes and projects that puts supporter engagement at the heart of everything do we do. They play a pivotal role in making Muslim Aid more data and insight driven in the way we fundraise and communicate with supporters. The team’s aim is to increase the depth and value of supporter relationships whilst also encouraging repeat giving and overall supporter retention through targeted engagement strategies.

Working within the Supporter Relations Engagement Team, you will develop a supporter centric approach to planning effective multi-channel, multi-product supporter journeys to grow loyalty, engagement, and income.  We are looking for someone with an audience and data insight driven approach to identify moments that matter and key touch points to improve the supporter experience. By doing this, you will ensure that each touchpoint across the supporter experience is engaging, effective and reflects Muslim Aids brand and values.

As a confident communicator you will help develop a culture based on understanding and interpreting supporter behaviours and motivations. Using this information, you will lead on mapping journeys and engagements across communications, campaigns and the fundraising portfolio to maximise a supporter’s lifetime value.

About the Role:

1. Create new innovative supporter journeys to increase engagement, loyalty and improve income generation.
2. Deliver improved supporter journeys and care strategies using insights, evidence and feedback.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Significant supporter/customer care skills obtained from the commercial or charity sectors.
2. Proven engagement developing internal relationships across a complex organisation – working with internal clients to develop and adapt briefs to improve supporter engagement.
3. Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
4. Experience of developing innovative and creative engagement programs for supporters/donors.

The role

At an exciting and key stage in our journey we have the opportunity for Youth and Community Directors to join our team supporting Oasis’ youth and community work in neighbourhoods in the following regions;

You'll leverage your expertise in team leadership, data segmentation, and supporter behaviour analysis to drive significant fundraising growth. You'll also play a critical role in fostering long-term supporter loyalty and ensuring exceptional donor care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic responsibility and leadership of Individual Giving, with income responsibility of circa £2 million
• Lead and motivate a team of four fundraisers.
• Drive growth across all Individual Giving income streams (appeals, digital, in-memory, lottery, legacy, philanthropy).
• Utilise data analysis and segmentation to optimise campaigns and supporter journeys.
• Manage budgets and financial reporting, forecasting as needed
• Ensure compliance with charity law, GDPR, and fundraising best practices.
• Cultivate strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.
• Develop innovative fundraising propositions and products.
• Oversee direct marketing campaigns across online and offline channels.
• Manage and optimise the database.

About You:

• Proven track record in Individual Giving fundraising, experience with lottery would be of benefit
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
• Data-driven approach with experience in setting and reporting on KPIs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of fundraising technology and CRM systems
• In-depth knowledge of charity law, GDPR, and fundraising regulations.
• Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
• Supporter-focused with a passion for building lasting relationships.

What We Offer:

• Salary: £45,000- £55,000 DOE

This is a pivotal role in a growing team. You’ll lead our high-value philanthropy strategy, manage your own portfolio of major donors and prospects, and line-manage a talented Philanthropy Specialist - supporting their development as you grow the programme together. 

Working closely with our CEO, senior volunteers and programme leads across the UK, Romania and Bangladesh, you’ll shape how we grow income, insight and impact in the years ahead.
