As Communications and Marketing Manager, you will lead on crafting and delivering compelling communications that strengthen our brand, deepen supporter engagement, and drive income. The role is responsible for continuing and enhancing both public and internal communication. We are a growing charity helping to lead the way in supporting survivors of modern slavery. This role is a pivotal part of the Fundraising team and will help us to deliver our aim to empower survivors of modern slavery and exploitation.    

This role is designed for someone who enjoys cultivating and developing income through individual giving and thrives on excellent and creative communication.  

What You’ll Be Doing:   

This person will take the lead on developing and delivering the organisation’s communication and marketing, in line with our branding, mission, vision and values. This includes:   

• Lead on branding, digital presence (website, social media, newsletters), and compelling storytelling to grow awareness, engage supporters, and recruit staff/volunteers. 

• Develop and deliver campaigns, newsletters, and case studies with sensitivity, ensuring consistent brand representation and co-produced content with beneficiaries. 

• Contribute to annual fundraising strategy, create detailed communications/marketing plans with budgets and targets, and strengthen the donor journey. 

• Partner with the fundraising team to drive income through digital marketing, supporter engagement, donor retention, and data-led reporting. 

• Manage eTapestry records, supporter data, and income tracking, while recommending improvements in data management and ensuring GDPR compliance.

What you do
Main purpose of post
This is a senior and strategic role in our fundraising team. You will be
responsible for leading the development and delivery of our Individual Giving
strategy, ensuring sustainable growth in income from individual donors. You
will oversee the retention and stewardship of existing supporters and
implement creative, data-led campaigns to attract new donors across multiple
channels. You will line manage the Legacy and In Memory Manager, supporting
their growth and the success of these high-value income streams.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development and Planning
 Lead the development and execution of a multi-year Individual Giving
strategy.
 Develop and deliver an annual work plan to achieve agreed income
targets.
 Use data insights and donor segmentation to shape compelling and
effective campaigns.

Campaign Management
 Plan, manage, and evaluate a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns
including:
o Regular giving
o Payroll giving
o Charity lottery
o Online and offline donor acquisition
 Test and implement new fundraising approaches to increase donor
conversion and value.
 Ensure all communications reflect the charity’s tone, values, and brand.

Donor Retention and Stewardship
 Design and implement supporter journeys that deepen donor
engagement and loyalty.
 Work with our Marketing Manager to oversee donor communications to
specific audience groups and stewardship activity, ensuring a positive
supporter experience.
 Monitor donor behaviour and lifetime value to inform stewardship and
upgrade strategies.

Legacy and In Memory Giving
 Provide strategic oversight of legacy and in-memory income streams.
 Line manage and support the Legacy and In Memory Manager to deliver
agreed targets and KPIs.
 Support the development of a legacy marketing plan to grow our legacy
pipeline.
 Support development of relationships with legacy pledgers and inmemory
donors

Budgeting and Performance
 Manage income and expenditure budgets for Individual Giving.
 Track and analyse campaign performance against KPIs and ROI targets.
 Maximise all gift aid opportunities within the agreed audiences.
 Report regularly to the Head of Fundraising on performance,
opportunities, and risks.

Cross-Team Collaboration
 Work with Communications, Digital, and Data colleagues to ensure
campaigns are well-coordinated, data-driven, and creatively delivered.
 Champion best practice in data protection and ethical fundraising.
 Stay informed on sector trends, regulations, and innovations in individual
giving.
 Ensure that all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s
CRM (Raiser’s Edge)

• A deep understanding of safeguarding legislation and experience of acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead.

The CEO needs to be a strategic leader who can inspire and manage teams, drive fundraising and financial sustainability, and represent the organisation to stakeholders. You will need to be capable of building relationships, fostering a positive organisational culture and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

You will work with the Chair of the Board of Trustees (Chair) and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to formulate and regularly review the organisation's mission and strategic plan. You will develop deep and trusting relationships with the Community we serve as well as with a wide range of external stakeholders and funders who can support the ideas generated from within the community.

We need an innovative, enthusiastic entrepreneur who is keen to connect with people from all backgrounds and abilities, encouraging and bringing out the best in us all.

At a more operational level you will work with the SLT to develop operational plans and key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure that GL11 can always demonstrate the value it brings to the community and wider stakeholder network.

This role is based at the Community Hub in Cam, Gloucestershire. Remote working opportunities are very limited as community connection is an important part of the role although the CEO will often be offsite given the networking nature of the role.

· Lead the EDI agenda for L&D, ensuring all interventions are inclusive and reporting on key metrics within the L&D strategy.

· Design, source, organise, and deliver impactful training sessions including identifying and working with external providers to ensure training meets all learning objectives.

· Actively identify new ways to deliver ‘on-the-go’ training content, creating high-quality and engaging e-learning or video modules that align with learning objectives.

· Drive a coaching culture by role modelling a coaching style, inviting feedback, and ensuring the charity’s learning provision upskills managers to coach and develop their teams.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· Proven experience in a similar role, such as a Learning and Development Specialist, with end-to-end design and delivery of training programmes, including training needs analysis and measuring outcomes.

· CIPD Qualified (level 5 minimum) or equivalent with experience in developing an L&D strategy that supports business objectives and designing inclusive learning solutions.

· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and deliver training effectively.

· High levels of computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and strong project management and organisational skills.

This is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and managing the core operational functions of finance, HR and health and safety across the organisation.  You will be responsible for leading on all aspects of these areas ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, supporting our people and maintaining effective financial management.

Main duties:

· Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and petty cash

· Support the preparation of financial management reports, accounts and statements

· Handle Payroll administration, pension schemes, and GiftAid claims, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.

·      Oversee grant and funding reporting in line with funding requirements

· Develop and monitor the annual budget with leadership input, and review expenditure with department Leads

· Line manage the one team member

· Provide core administration functions for the building, including answering phone and email queries

· Work with external accountants and auditors as required

· Oversee financial and contractual aspects of OTF’s properties, including utilities, tenancy agreements, and maintenance contracts.

· Maintain and update the health and safety policies and processes

· Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and best practice across the organisation, promoting a positive safety culture.

· Provide training and guidance on health and safety issues, including first aid, manual handling and fire safety

· Carry out workplace risk assessments and implement control measures

· Act as the main point of contact for audits and inspections and investigating accidents when they arise

· Maintain and update HR policies and processes in line with current legislation

· Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations processes.

· Ensure compliance with HR and financial regulations.

· Oversee and manage sickness, absences and annual leave ensuring compliance with policies.

· Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement workforce planning strategies and staff wellbeing initiatives.

· Lead Bible studies, prayer meetings for staff, volunteers and at external events as required

· Be an active member of the Off the Fence leadership team

Key attributes and experience required for the role:

· Proven experience in HR, Finance and/or Health and Safety roles (Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role)

· Strong knowledge of UK employment law in practice, H&S legislation and financial processes

· Strong alignment with the vision of Off the Fence, and a commitment to our organisational focus

· Excellent organisational and time management skills

· High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality

· Ability to interpret policies, legislation and data effectively

LUX is seeking an exceptional Deputy Director to help lead its next chapter. The CEO drives the financial development of the organisation by securing funding and exploring different opportunities for growing and strengthening SAVTE’s capacity to deliver.
