About the role
We are seeking a technically capable, qualified accountant with strong knowledge of the Charities SORP to provide effective stewardship and oversight of the Finance function at Kinship. You will be responsible for financial controls, management accounting and ensuring the effective delivery of ‘business as usual’ financial management.
As well as producing monthly management accounts, you will be responsible for running the annual budget and the year-end processes, preparing for the yearly external audit and ensuring that the organisation complies with statutory obligations.
You will prepare papers for and attend the quarterly Finance Committee meetings and will liaise with a range of stakeholders including auditors, the bank and investment managers. You will be the ‘go to’ business partner at the charity, supported by the Chief Operating Officer and Fractional Chief Financial Officer.
You will manage a team of two colleagues – a Senior Finance Officer and a Payroll Manager – providing them with guidance, coaching and support to enable them to perform effectively. You will also collaborate and work with Directors and senior managers across the organisation to inform them on performance against budget and conditions of funding, as well as supporting fundraising and commissioning bids.
You will have excellent communication skills and will be able to organise conflicting priorities around the monthly management accounts cycle, while supporting the achievement of our strategic objectives. You will be flexible and adaptable in your approach to supporting transformational change in our processes and systems, as well as dealing with, and leading on, the day-to-day financial management.
This is a broad and challenging role for a dynamic and systems-driven individual who wants to grow within the organisation, proactively problem solve and help colleagues to deliver on our mission.
Essential requirements include:
- Fully qualified ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles, standards and the Charities SORP, and experience of applying these in a service delivery organisation
- Experience managing a Finance function in a charity with £1-10m annual turnover
- Experience of line management and developing a team using approaches that are empowering
- Experience of Business Central, or the ability to quickly learn a new accounting system
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to use Pivot Tables and other functions to analyse large data sets

About the role

The role
The Finance and Operations Manager will oversee the charity’s back-office functions, ensuring that the charity meets the highest standards of governance and management and that the charity’s philanthropy services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

- Overseeing the management of the charity’s portfolio of investments, including expanding the range of investment options for our DAFs.

The ICPG is a network of 80+ Jewish UK-based academics. Our members are dedicated to researching and combatting antisemitism in UK higher education and improving the environment for Jewish students, academics, professionals, and other staff. We work with senior leadership and diversity and inclusion teams at UK universities. We champion academic freedom and oppose all academic boycotts of Jews and / or Israeli institutions and faculties.
The ICPG was created in 2024 in response to the sharp rise in antisemitism in UK universities since 7th October 2023. We collaborate broadly with universities and Higher Education institutions, policymakers, lawyers and other stakeholders. Where appropriate, we engage with communal organisations.

As Project Manager, you’ll lead key aspects of the Grass Pitch Programme, working with national governing bodies and stakeholders to improve the quality and sustainability of grass pitches. You’ll also deliver a nationwide volunteer strategy, helping to recruit, train, and retain volunteers who maintain vital community pitches. This role blends programme delivery, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement at the highest level.
In this role, you’ll manage multi-sport capital and revenue investment plans, build strong relationships with NGBs, County FAs, and delivery teams, and lead the development of a robust volunteer Groundskeeper strategy. You’ll coordinate project timelines, budgets, KPIs, and risks, while using data to drive continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in complex, multi-stakeholder project or programme management, and excellent skills in stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and team collaboration. You’ll have a strong understanding of sports development, facility operations, and community needs, as well as in-depth knowledge of sports National Governing Bodies. Strategic thinking, effective communication, and an understanding of funding and investment processes are essential, and you should be confident using digital tools and data to drive delivery and continuous improvement. A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, as well as an understanding of barriers to participation, is crucial. Experience working with or alongside national governing bodies or in the sport/community development sector is highly desirable.

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. Role Purpose

About the role
Our Participation and Involvement Manager will build on existing practice across the organisation and lead on the implementation and further development of a participation and involvement framework, enabling a large and diverse range of kinship carers to share their views and expertise meaningfully, safely and effectively to shape Kinship’s activity. It will also support our growing participation and involvement activity which involves children, young people and young adults with experience of growing up in kinship care.

This is a key role supporting the NFF team to amplify the experience of flooded people and the work of the National Flood Forum. We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Communications & Campaigns Manager to join our team. This role will support national campaigns, amplify our key messages and activity across regions, platforms and stakeholders. You will be a key contact and will help us tell powerful stories about flooding and flooded people.
Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Storytelling
- Translate community activity and project work into compelling stories and campaigns that raise the voices of those affected by flooding.
- Contribute creative ideas to grow awareness of the National Flood Forum’s work and impact.
- Adapt messages to resonate with a variety of audiences, including policymakers, partners, media, and communities.
Content Creation & Digital Media
- Create engaging digital and written content, including newsletters, blogs, website content, case studies, and social media posts.
- Support and build on the development of the NFF’s website
- Drive integrated campaign work by aligning digital, press, and stakeholder communications.
- Identify and utilise external opportunities (e.g. climate events, flooding anniversaries, policy milestones) to share relevant content.
- Create a bank of case studies to highlight the issues flooded people face.
Campaigns & Public Engagement
- Co-ordinate campaign timelines and content plans to support campaigns
- Report on the performance and reach of campaigns and support the wider team in evaluating impact.
- Organise, devise, attend and support events—online and in person—helping regional teams share their work effectively.
Media & External Relations
- Identify and cultivate relationships with the media, write press releases and media materials and identify case studies or spokespeople.
- Build strong working relationships with community flood groups to help them share their stories in the media.
- Monitor media coverage and engage with media opportunities aligned with NFF’s mission.
Internal Communications & Capacity Building
- Work with the leader team to manage the internal communications and support staff with templates, messaging guidance, and digital tools.
- Produce and distribute the internal newsletter, gathering updates and impact stories from teams and regional staff.
- Support staff and volunteers with communications training and briefings to build confidence and skills.
Knowledge Management & Brand Consistency
- Keep internal communication and campaign assets up to date.
- Feed insights from staff and communities into the improvement of communication tools and templates.
- Work to ensure consistent branding and accessibility across all channels.
Day-to-Day Activities
· You will create content for a variety of audiences and stakeholders in a number of different formats
· Working with colleagues you will drive forward and support social media management
· You will work with the team to help shape and deliver campaigns on the issues that matter most to flooded people
· You will support the development of the NFF’s website & support digital updates
· You will be the main point of contact for local and national media and public relations
· You will carry out Internal Communications
· You will carry out Monitoring & Evaluation activity to ensure campaigns are effective and impactful
· You will ensure that all communications meet any regulatory and compliance requirements
