· Develop and deliver the next RBL Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and implementation plans

· Be the orchestrator of change for D&I work across all Directorates – influence, educate and engage leaders on how we communicate, engage and involve all of our people

· Ensure D&I is woven into everything we do, across the services we deliver, the partnerships we forge and the beneficiaries we serve

· Be a visible, ongoing, inclusion educator and champion ensuring regular communications across RBL to various communities, and support leaders and internal communications to weave inclusion across and through our communications channels

· Identification and design of training opportunities and materials to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion

You will be a great relationship builder, confidant and be able to work across a variety of responsibilities and initiatives, with pace and credibility. Your proven experience of leading D&I related initiatives and programmes will be well utilised and you will be given the support and development to lead us on the next stage of our D&I journey.

Due to the rapid expansion of Day One Trauma Support over the last three years, the charity’s infrastructure has needed to respond quickly to meet its changing demands. There is now a requirement to ensure that the Finance and Resources team has the right skill set and capacity to provide the support needed by the charity in an efficient and proactive way.

The HR Officer and Executive Assistant role is a newly created position to reflect both the growing HR needs of the charity as the workforce expands, and the executive support required by the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the efficient and effective running of the charity. This is a key role which is instrumental in bringing the HR and organisational administration functions together at an operational level.

Reporting primarily to the Director of Finance and Resources and assisted by an external HR and Employment Law support service, this role will provide advice, guidance and support to all line managers in HR related matters whilst building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders throughout all levels of the organisation.  This will include support to ensure the efficient and effective management, monitoring and reporting of people metrics, from recruitment, development, retention through to attrition and at all stages of the employee life cycle.

The role will also provide crucial executive support to the CEO and SLT of three Directors, to ensure the smooth operation of their responsibilities and co-ordinating efforts of various parties to ensure completion of key tasks and actions.

As part of an expanding and ambitious organisation, there are considerable development opportunities for the successful candidate and the ability to help shape the infrastructure of the charity.

About you:

You will have at least 3 years’ experience of delivering HR support directly and facilitating line managers to deliver HR support.  You will have a demonstrable understanding of employment law and the practical application of this, with experience of implementing HR administration and operational best practice for example, in the areas of recruitment, capability and performance management. You will help lead in creating an atmosphere of trust and an enabling environment where staff can contribute their best and develop their potential, which is critical for Day One as a young organisation.

You will have significant experience of providing proactive and responsive administrative assistance to senior staff and demonstrable experience of developing and managing effective administrative systems.  Additionally, the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships through professional engagement and communication skills, both written and spoken, that are effective, empathetic and adaptable to different situations are key to this role.

You will be highly organised and responsive to others in a way that is both timely and professional with well-developed time management skills to manage competing priorities, ensure follow up of actions and meet deadlines whilst working under pressure. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical to this role, whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. About this role

The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. Your role will be to engage members of the public, grow the Reprieve’s community and help establish our supporter base.

It is an exciting time for our team, as we launch their first mass engagement strategy to promote the long-term growth of the programme. Digital fundraising boomed between 2020 and 2021 but has faced challenges in 2022 and 2023. As we launch our new strategy, we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual, keen to try new things and learn through testing, excited about communicating Reprieve’s work to our supporters and inspiring them to donate.

You will be key to the acquisition of new supporters, leading on developing and managing lead generation across our platforms, building paid for and organic content, and developing new and innovative ways to engage supporters with the support of the Head of Digital and Mass Engagement.

As a small team we have a collaborative and “all hands on deck” approach, ready to step in and support each other. This means at times you will support on our retention and stewardship work, as well as helping the wider Development Team when needed.

You will share our commitment to fighting racism and advancing racial justice, as well as help craft comms that can take supporters with us on this work whilst ensuring we do this in a way that does not compound racist structures.

Collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation, you will sculpt compelling funding propositions, and secure gifts spanning figures in the six and seven digits. Key responsibilities:

· To develop, deliver and monitor Comic Relief’s strategy for engagement of ultra-high net worth and high net worth individuals in line with our mission 

· To work closely with Talent to identify artists and their ecosystems who have the capacity and propensity to give financially and leverage support through networks

· To develop a robust prospect pipeline, effectively cultivate prospects and manage and steward relationships with existing donors

· To deliver and/or support with engagement events for prospects and donors, working with the Life Presidents, Trustees and other teams at Comic Relief as needed

· To work closely with the Funding Team to create  compelling propositions for high net worth individuals

· To represent Comic Relief in relevant philanthropic circles, specifically targeting next generation donors, wealth advisers, intermediaries and talent ecosystems

· To be results oriented while creatively develop new ways of reaching and communicating with our target audience of philanthropists, driving income against an agreed target and documenting learning to seek constant improvement 

· Drive accountability for annual revenue generation exceeding £1 million, with a focus on consistent year-over-year growth, targeting a minimum of £1 million for 2024/2025 and surpassing existing income levels of £800k+

Person specification

Essential criteria

· Solid experience of developing and delivering a philanthropy strategy which contributes to the organisations overall strategic aims on income and relationships.

· Solid experience of securing 5 and 6 figure gifts from philanthropists and/or family foundations

· Solid experience of high-level relationship management and support which enables senior stakeholder to grow income and networks

· Exceptional communication, networking, influencing, negotiating and persuading skills.

· Strategic Thinker – able to evaluate decisions in the short, medium and long term.

· Building and sustaining effective working relationships both internally and externally.

Desirable criteria 

· Experience of securing 7 figure gifts and working with leading philanthropist

· Strong sector knowledge and a familiarity with the charitable/funding sector 

· Experience with innovative outreach and creativity in developing new methods to reach and engage target audiences of philanthropists, along with a knack for driving income growth and leveraging insights for continuous improvement.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, effortless communicator who appreciates the power of brand, understands the ways of presenting messaging effectively for different audiences, and will help us breathe life into our digital channels with content that resonates.

You will be a confident creative with experience in producing both visual and verbal communications for a broad range of channels including website, email and social. You will be attuned to audience needs and pay attention to user analytics and feedback to continually improve engagement.

About the role

This role within the Policy & Communications directorate gives an energetic, audience-focused individual the opportunity to use their creative flair to support the British Ecological Society’s strategic goal of greater collaboration and impact.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and with the support of the Communications team, this role will transform our digital channels and communications with reactive, creative content that engages and resonates with our audiences.

Working pattern
35hrs, Mon-Fri | We are currently running a trial of the 4-day work week; staff can opt to work 32hrs over 4 days each week at no loss of salary.
Location
Hybrid | We ask that staff spend at least 60% of their time at our London office.
