Youth Development Outreach Worker

Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. 

Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking to recruit a Youth Development Outreach Worker to join the Oasis Youth Support project at North Middlesex University Hospital. This project offers support to young people who have attended the Emergency Department due to violence in order to promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Offering intensive 1:1 support to the young people referred to the project by hospital staff following an attendance at ED due to violence or aggression. Support for the young person can include liaising with parents/carers, safeguarding services and other agencies/networks with the purpose of increasing positive outcomes.

· Being a physical presence in the department, working with key staff within NMUH to ensure all young people who come into ED as a result of a violence or aggression are able to access support where required.

· Planning and delivering sessions focusing around specific areas of violence reduction for young people and professionals.

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Have a relevant experience working with young people using a Youth Work approach and seen a positive impact from that work

· Are committed and passionate about working with young people who have experienced violence using a young person centred, trauma informed approach.

· Possess excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.

· Are self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work to deadlines.

The role

The Content Officer will play a key role in managing and developing BDF’s Knowledge Hub, our unique resource library of accurate, authoritative, and up-to-date information on business and disability. They will be responsible for collecting, monitoring, and analysing data on the Knowledge Hub’s use and performance, and using these insights to create and deliver a digital content strategy.

The requirement

• Experience managing and updating digital content, ideally using CMS platforms such as WordPress with Kadence or similar themes
• Proven experience conducting content audits and implementing accessibility checks
• Experience using SEO tools and website analytics to monitor and optimise digital content performance
• Experience writing and proofreading web copy, video scripts, and multimedia content
• Technical aptitude to learn and implement new digital features, plug-ins, or tools

BookTrust, the charity that champions the power of reading, is seeking a Head of Fundraising in a new senior role to oversee the strategic development and management of their voluntary income, to help them deliver their goals to shape a national reading culture.

BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, reaching over 1.3 million children and families across England, Wales and Northern Ireland each year and delivering evidence-informed programmes that make a measurable difference to children’s reading behaviours. Their work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the chance to enjoy reading and all the lifelong benefits it brings. The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for stewarding an existing portfolio of major statutory and voluntary funders, and managing BookTrust’s high value and individual giving portfolio. This includes trusts and foundations, statutory funders and corporate partners from the publishing sector and beyond, from Waterstones to Build-A-Bear. The post-holder will build on significant fundraising growth over the last three years, and will work to further grow and diversify fundraising income to meet the goals of the charity’s recently launched 2025-2030 strategic plan.

The successful candidate will be engaging, experienced and have a proven record across high value fundraising (with a preference for major donor/philanthropy, trusts and corporate partnerships), as well as having a good knowledge of Individual Giving.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

CORE

• Contribute to CALM’s fundraising targets, through excellent event delivery, relationship management and supporter care

• Ensure all supporters receive excellent care from CALM, as well as completing all assigned admin tasks with a high degree of accuracy

• Be a data steward for fundraising, ensuring quality data management

SUPPORTER ENGAGEMENT AND STEWARDSHIP

• Support on delivery of the Challenge Events portfolio, ensuring Challenge Event Fundraisers are staying on track - such as completing registration forms on time, and setting up fundraising pages

• Provide general support to the Challenge Events Manager with event day delivery as required

• Represent CALM at Challenge Events, including acting as an Event Day Lead, and attending wider CALM events

• Work with the Challenge Events Manager and Event Fundraising Lead to develop our portfolio of events, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and putting ideas into action

• Steward CALM’s Challenge Event Fundraisers effectively throughout their journey when supporting CALM, to ensure they feel appreciated and inspired to fundraise for us

• Be the friendly voice of CALM, responding to enquiries through the website or phone in a timely manner

• Proactively craft and send personalised emails to fundraisers to drive retention and satisfaction

• Help with the management and optimisation of the Challenge Event email automated journeys used to steward participants in the lead up to and after their event

• Help to devise and manage our email marketing strategy to event participants 

• Deliver stewardship calls to Challenge Event Fundraisers - welcoming them to the team upon sign up, wishing them good luck before their event, or offering them fundraising guidance and support 

• Work across various income platforms to ensure fundraising pages and donations are correctly coded, including JustGiving and Enthuse

• Support on the maintenance of relevant pages on the CALM website

• Analyse feedback from fundraisers via our post event surveys and identify areas for improvement

• Engage with Fundraisers on our CALM Facebook groups - sparking conversation and fostering a supportive community atmosphere

• Recruit and manage volunteers to support at events

• Work with the wider organisation to improve processes and data management

By enabling participation in events like World Book Day, we helped spark imagination, joy, and belonging for children who might otherwise feel left out—boosting self-esteem and supporting a positive connection to learning.Furthermore, helping attract children into school on a day which often sees struggling parents keep their children at home.

Alongside these national campaigns, Parentkind supports families year-round through a growing suite of programmes designed to inform, prepare and empower parents. Our Be School Ready programme offers crucial guidance and confidence to parents preparing their children for the leap into primary education. With a mix of practical advice, developmental tips, and reassurance, through the distribution of 150,000 copies of Be School Ready and an online campaign, it supports families at one of the most formative moments in their child’s life.

Our direct support of schools

Our collaboration with Asda on Cashpot for Schools is another example of unlocking support at scale. This innovative community-led funding model allowed shoppers to nominate and fund their local schools simply through everyday spending. This campaign has generated £5.78 million for schools during the past twelve months, supporting everything from basic classroom supplies to vital extracurricular programmes and pupil wellbeing initiatives. Our work is grounded in evidence. Since 2023, we have conducted the UK’s largest annual parent survey: the National Parent Survey. With approaching 6,000 participants providing 130,000 bits of data to provide invaluable insights into the struggles, concerns, hopes and fears of parents. The findings are fed directly into government consultations and have already informed national debates on school funding, attendance, mental health support, SEND provision, and curriculum reform.

In each of the past two years the number of policymakers, educators, parents and researchers accessing the National Parent Survey exceeded seven thousand, and the survey featured in more than two hundred media outlets each year.Excitingly, the Times & Sunday Times are partnering with Parentkind to raise the profile even further in September 2025 and the survey will be launched at a lighthouse event featuring the Secretary of State for Education (Bridget Phillipson), the Ofsted Chief Inspector of Schools (Sir Martyn Oliver), the CEO of Mumsnet (Justine Roberts), the Children’s Commissioner (Dame Rachel De Souza), and our own Chief Executive (Jason Elsom).

Main purpose and scope of this role:

With guidance from the Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will identify, secure, and manage new corporate partnerships to fund Parentkind's mission.

You will build and maintain a new business pipeline to support a sustainable corporate partnerships income stream, targeting a wide range of partnerships (including COTY, corporate grants, commercial and strategic relationships) with regional and national businesses with the capacity to support at a 5,6, and 7-figure level.

You will carry out prospect cultivation, develop tailored proosals and pitches, and manage corporate partner relationships to secure excellent supporter experiences.

By collaborating with key internal stakeholders and securing approirate partnership opportunities, you will enhance support for parents, schools, children and young people.

Duties and key responsibilities 

New Business

• Identify and research prospective corporate partners who align with Parentkind’s mission; complete due diligence and compile reports and partner profiles.
• Planning: proactively plan and drive tactical and timely approaches to potential partners.
• Proposal development: produce high‑quality proposals, applications and pitches to secure financial contributions from corporate partners.
• Lead management: respond promptly to new‑business leads, delivering excellent relationship management from initial contact to formal partnership.
• Resource development: contribute to the development and maintenance of key resources for fundraising activities.
• Community Team contribution: contribute to the Community Team’s fundraising initiatives for PTA members.

Partnership Management

• Account management: oversee and manage relationships with selected corporate partners in Parentkind’s portfolio.
• Partnership planning: create and deliver comprehensive, bespoke plans for each partnership, considering all financial and non‑financial opportunities to generate support and mutual value.
• Regular communications: hold regular meetings with partners to ensure partnership objectives are on track; propose compelling partnership content and campaigns.
• Impact reporting: create compelling reports for partners that demonstrate the impact of their contributions and support renewals.
• Coordination of contributions: coordinate gift‑in‑kind/pro‑bono contributions from partners in collaboration with internal teams.

Relationship Management

• Relationship building: cultivate relationships with prospects, developing tailored engagement strategies and keeping key contacts informed of our work.
• Partnership agreements: negotiate clear, mutually understood and appropriate contracts with new corporate partners.
• Network utilisation: leverage organisational networks for introductions and referrals; collaborate with the Head of Corporate Partnerships on network mapping; identify links to target organisations and engage key stakeholders for introductions, referrals and nominations.
• Representation: represent Parentkind at events and networking opportunities.
• Internal collaboration: foster positive relationships across the organisation, ensuring fundraising activities align with the charity’s needs and priorities.

Managing systems

• CRM management: maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records on Parentkind’s CRM (Salesforce), tracking all corporate partnerships activity.
• Monitoring and reporting: contribute to regular monitoring and reporting on corporate partnerships.
• Process management: manage internal processes related to corporate partnerships, including use of third‑party platforms.
• Record keeping: maintain and communicate detailed records of corporate partnerships activities to inform future planning and strategy.
• Finance processes: ensure all corporate partnerships income is accurately coded, allocated and reconciled in line with agreed finance processes.
• Process improvement: contribute to the development of effective processes and systems for managing corporate fundraising activities.

General responsibilities

• Ensure Data Protection procedures are followed at all times.
• Stay informed on relevant issues, educational policy and legislation affecting key audiences.
• Be flexible within the remit of the post and undertake other duties as reasonably requested by senior leadership.

British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK's largest independent funder of cardiovascular research. As a Research Advisor you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our research strategy to life. 

Through our portfolio of active research projects, we fund some of the most exciting and innovative cardiovascular research and the most talented scientists from PhD students to BHF Professors.

You’ll play an active role in supporting the work of our research grant committees, by providing scientific input throughout the research grant evaluation and delivery process and taking primary responsibility for supporting the work of the Chairs and Programme Grants Committee.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Research Advisor, Research Grants Manager and Research Grants Officer during funding cycles and grant applications and awards.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

We are recruiting for a Senior Creative Copywriter to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.

Right now, in an era of new breakthroughs in treatments and research, it’s more important than ever that we raise awareness of the devastation of dementia and our mission to create a future where dementia no longer devastates lives. This is a pivotal moment in the fight against dementia. Developing our organisational and brand strategy over the last few years has played a key part in raising the profile of our cause. Now we’re building on that momentum - and successful, strategic creative development and execution of our brand is essential to maintain our reputation and credibility as a leading dementia charity.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the senior in-house creative team, inspiring colleagues to produce consistently excellent creative work and nurturing our brand. As Senior Creative Copywriter you will work collaboratively with our design, video, brand, fundraising, marketing and communications teams across the charity, to support income generation and extend our audience reach. About the role

The resettlement team provides advice and support for refugees on resettlement and relocation schemes to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.

The Refugee Council has agreed to work in partnership with Migration Yorkshire and Local Authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to deliver the regional Resettlement programmes. Since 2022 this has included supporting people who have arrived on the Homes for Ukraine scheme in Doncaster/East Riding. Both Doncaster and East Riding Councils have agreed to a 6-month extension to resettlement support on the scheme. There are a small number of new arrivals in the areas and changes to the Homes for Ukraine scheme, including visa extensions (UPE) mean that some clients still require some assistance.

The role will principally consist of offering support on single issues via drop-in, appointments, outreach and occasional home-visits. This will include offering information and assistance with the Ukraine Permission Extension scheme. The role may include offering casework support for clients in crisis for slightly longer periods with agreement from line managers. The role will also involve introducing our service to clients newly arrived on Homes for Ukraine in Doncaster/East Riding and supporting with immediate needs.

The Resettlement Worker (Doncaster/East Riding Homes for Ukraine) will work alongside other Resettlement Workers in the city, sharing workspaces. The role will involve lone-working, including home visits in accordance with Refugee Council’s lone-working policies.
