About Hotel School
Hotel School is an award-winning charity that empowers people who have experienced homelessness and other disadvantages to thrive in the hospitality industry. This dynamic 10-week programme combines theory, hands-on experience, and industry visits to provide the skills and confidence to land a job and excel in it.
Hotel School provides a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive training environment where students are given the opportunity to build their confidence to learn and grow. Our holistic approach is how we succeed in finding and sustaining long-term employment and progression, even for those who have been unemployed for over 20 years. We support our graduates as they take their first steps into work through mentoring, employer education, and progression management and support our graduates for up to one year after graduation, and sometimes longer if needed.
Hotel School operates as a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), meaning our training programme is tailored to address the emotional and psychological needs of the individuals we work with. Within this framework, Hotel School adopts a Trauma-Informed approach when engaging with students and graduates, acknowledging that many may have encountered complex trauma.
About the Role

As an Employment & Progression Coach, you’ll work one-on-one with students and graduates, supporting them to overcome barriers, stay motivated, and achieve their goals, evoking meaningful change in their lives and futures.
You will also work closely with Hotel School hospitality employer partners to identify suitable job opportunities and collaborate to ensure our graduates are well-supported as they transition into and sustain meaningful employment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one, trauma-informed and person-centred employment support to students and graduates

Help graduates overcome barriers and prepare for sustainable hospitality careers

Work closely with employer partners to secure and support job opportunities

Coordinate work experience placements and deliver employability workshops

Collaborate with mentors and support services to ensure holistic, person-centred support

About you
We’re looking for someone who is:

The Post
The University of Portsmouth Students’ Union is a vibrant, forward thinking organisation with a vision of Delivering a Positive Impact with every Portsmouth student. The Post Holder will be meeting with students on a 1-1 basis to provide impartial advice and advocate for individual students on academic issues affecting University of Portsmouth students. You will be the first point of contact with students visiting or contacting the Advice Service for support and as the first point of contact with the Advice Service. The Person
The Post holder will have experience of providing a high standard of customer services. They will require experience of working within a Higher Educational environment or, have recent experience or knowledge of University guidelines. The right person for the post will require excellent listening and communication skills and experience of working with clients on a 1-1 basis in a supporting role. The post holder will have the ability to work in a busy and high-pressured environment with the skills to prioritise work quickly and efficiently.

About the Role
We are seeking thoughtful and proactive individuals with a background in education to join our team as School Outreach Coordinators. In this role, you’ll bring more schools to Founders4Schools platform, and play a valuable role in strengthening local engagement and ensuring that more students, particularly those facing the greatest barriers to social mobility, have access to meaningful encounters with relatable role models from the world of work.

By combining light-touch outreach with relationship-building, you’ll play a key part in contribute to F4S’s Mission to ensure all young people, regardless of background, can imagine and prepare for a future that excites them, through increased access to role model employer encounters and work experience opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Confidently articulate the value of the F4S programme in supporting Gatsby Benchmarks and strengthening schools’ careers education plans
- Conduct warm and targeted cold outreach using proof points, case studies, and peer-based storytelling. Prioritising schools supporting students facing the greatest barriers.
- Encourage teachers & career leads at schools in your catchmen to get involved, strengthening local outreach and refining our delivery.
- Act as a friendly and consistent point of contact for schools in your area—answering simple queries and offering reassurance where needed.
- Contribute brief updates or regional success stories that showcase the impact of self-serve or volunteer encounters, helping the wider team highlight programme reach and effectiveness.
- Provide proactive, tailored support to educators navigating the F4S platform — ensuring they feel confident using its features and are encouraged to return for ongoing engagement.
- Build relationships with local Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) Career Hubs to strengthen regional collaboration and raise awareness of F4S among broader school networks.
- Use engagement data provided by the programme team to help tailor outreach efforts and follow up with schools where additional support may increase uptake.
- Attend weekly team meetings and monthly all-staff meeting to stay aligned on programme goals, share regional insights, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Who You Are
- Likely to be a teacher, careers advisor and must be familiar with the English secondary school system.
- Warm, empathetic, and well-organised, able to balance independent work with strong communication.
- Comfortable initiating contact with new schools in a respectful, professional way.
- Committed to equity in education and keen to support young people’s access to the full range of career pathways, especially in emerging fields like AI, digital, science, and technology.

What you’ll do
As Events Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team to make sure all our events are delivered to the highest standard. You’ll be working closely alongside our Head of Events and Events Leads as part of our growing Marketing team to make sure all our events help students to make informed decisions about their next steps.
In-person events:

Work alongside the Event Lead, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s in-person conferences and events, to support the planning and delivery of these events and make sure they’re a success.

Play a key role on the day - lead on the set up and pack down of events and be an expert on the event logistics, on hand to support attendees, the Event Lead, and the rest of the Unifrog team.

Manage the registration desk and welcome attendees as they arrive, giving them a fantastic first impression of the event and helping them with any questions they may have.

Support with research and planning future events, including conducting initial site visits.

Support with writing and sending conversion and follow-up emails for events.

Draw on your own experiences to make sure that all our events are relevant and provide value to our different audiences.
Virtual events:

Work alongside the Event Lead, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s webinar series and university fairs, to support the planning and delivery of these events.

Ensure the smooth running of our university fairs. Become an expert user of the iVent platform – send reminders of session start times, spark conversations on the chat function, and solve any technical issues.

Act as a host for some of our events – run live sessions, field questions from participants, and facilitate discussions between our expert panelists.
External conferences:

Provide ad hoc support with the logistics of our conference equipment and make sure equipment and materials are delivered to external conferences and returned to the office in time.

Support with our events inbox to make sure all emails are responded to in a friendly and professional manner within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).

You’ll help deliver our Young Carers service across Southwark, so a car driver is preferred.
In this role, you will manage an existing caseload and new referrals, meeting with families and Young Carers to complete statutory assessments and create action plans. You‘ll provide support for Young Carers to reduce the impact of their caring role and improve their resilience, educational chances and wellbeing, through signposting to local services, in-school support, one-to-one sessions, and workshops.
There will be opportunities to work closely with schools, Children’s Services and other agencies to raise awareness, identify hidden Young Carers, and ensure Young Carer needs are understood and acted on.
You will need to be confident, approachable and self-motivated, with the ability to quickly establish rapport with children and young people. Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering in education, health or social care, or be looking to start a career working with children or young people.
This is a part-time role, ideally working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (including occasional early evenings). The role is 9 months fixed-term with a potential 3 month extension.

We are looking for an ambitious Programme Manager with extensive experience of new business development within the non-profit sector, strong knowledge of project management tools, a belief in collaborative working, and a positive and big-picture outlook. They will play a key role in the alignment and delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects relating to our cross-cutting programme of work to strengthen postgraduate education of health workers in our partner countries.
Working in partnership with Ministries of Health, healthcare institutions, leading medical and nursing schools and other stakeholders, the postholder will support the design and management of programmes, develop funding proposals in line with our strategy and the strategic objectives of our partners, and align our work on postgraduate education of health workers across all five countries. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape an innovative and impactful health systems strengthening programme, rooted in strong local partnerships. The postholder will report to the Health Systems Strengthening Lead.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Degree in relevant subject (Global Health, International Development or aligned subject) and experience of working in a low- and middle-income country setting
- Extensive experience in managing multiple projects (including large and complex grants/contracts) throughout the full project cycle
- Financial management and budgeting experience for complex multi-year, multi-partner projects
- Experience of developing and reporting on MEL strategies for large and complex programmes, including developing indicators, theories of change, learning processes and undertaking analysis and evaluation of programmes
- Experience of coordinating and managing the development of successful funding proposals
- Experience of leading on the coordination of large programmes of work bringing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and workplans into alignment
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, actively addressing areas of potential bias
- Willingness to travel to all of our partner countries (Somaliland, the Gambia, Sierra Leone, Zambia and DRC)
Desirable criteria
- Experience working collaboratively with partner organisations in low resource settings
- Masters degree in global health or international development or other subject relevant to the post

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional and customer-focussed HR leadership, advice and support to academies to enable leaders to improve and support staff engagement, tackle workforce priorities, maximise workforce efficiency and achieve academy people objectives
- Influencing and supporting the strategic direction of academies by providing and analysing workforce information and developing HR initiatives to respond to needs or example, developing effective retention plans, improving sickness absence and reducing agency expenditure
- Coaching, supporting and mentoring senior leaders on people management practices, issues and priorities, through development of close working relationships and understanding of business challenges and opportunities
- Providing expert advice to managers in highly complex employee relations cases on the interpretation and implementation of the Federation employment procedures within the context of the legal framework
- Retaining oversight of casework, and line managing an HR advisor in the management of specific ER cases
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Experience in a HR Business Partner or senior HR advisor role within a large complex organisation

- Previous experience of managing complex Employee relations issues, change management, and restructuring
- Experience of supervising staff

Overview
The Dash Charity is looking for a Refuge IDVA to join its dedicated refuge services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a local domestic abuse charity with a huge influence and reach. For almost 50 years The Dash Charity has been supporting individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse, empowering women, men and children to recognise the tactics of abuse, break the cycle, and take back control of their lives.
We were one of the first charities in the UK to be awarded Leading Lights status for our Advocacy and Outreach Services by SafeLives, and pioneered healthy relationships workshops in schools over a decade ago.
We run three refuges that offer a sanctuary to women and children escaping violence and abuse, offering specialist children’s support and one to one support for women.
Key responsibilities:
• Identify and assess the risks and support needs of refuge clients using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Manage a caseload of clients ensuring each client receives a quality and consistent service and support individual to their needs and risks.
• Support the empowerment of the client and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them regain control of their lives.
• To ensure that information is shared within data protection guidelines to ensure a co-ordinated approach is taken to understand client need/risk and support appropriately.
• To work in accordance with the Refuge Services Case Management Policy ensuring that all client records and casework are to the required audited standard as per the case management policy.
• To maintain accurate, professional and confidential case management records and databases and ensure all monitoring and evaluation records/tools are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• To understand any grant, funder or contractual requirements pertaining to the funding of the individual post, ensuring data and outcomes are gathered to inform periodic reporting as and when required. To contribute to the preparation of any grant/contract reporting as required.
• Support colleagues and partner agencies, through awareness raising and institutional advocacy, in order to provide the best possible service for victims of domestic abuse.
• To fully keep up to date with relevant legislation and sector updates.

• Ensure client rents are collected weekly, rent card completed and the Finance team are updated.
• To facilitate monthly resident meetings, complete meeting minutes and any actions arising from the meeting.
• To complete weekly H&S checks and update RST manager accordingly.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Finance Manager who will provide accurate and timely financial reporting for the denomination, advise budget holders and senior stakeholders on all financial related matters, have oversight of a small finance team and provide support to local congregational treasurers on charity finance and best practice.
The Finance Manager will have strong accounting skills, be experienced in financial reporting, be highly organised and self-motivated and will have a desire to manage Church finances well. Experience of charity finance and guiding non-finance stakeholders would be helpful.
There is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for the post holder to be a committed Christian. As such, the successful candidate will be a Christian with an active commitment in a local church congregation, who is supportive of the values, aims and ethos of the Free Church of Scotland.
