ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join our central HR team. You’ll support a group of academies, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and workforce initiatives, while contributing to projects that shape the future of education.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of a generalist HR advisory service to the Federation and our Academies, providing up to date and informed HR guidance and support on HR policies, processes and systems
- Providing professional advice and support to Federation and Academy leaders in all areas of HR practice and employee relations such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management and sickness absence management, escalating complex cases as appropriate to the Head of HR and HR Business Partners
- Supporting the HR Business Partner with organisation change programmes including redundancy, restructuring and TUPE transfers; preparing documents, supporting planning, due diligence completion etc.
- Participating in the development and delivery of HR policy skills workshops for line managers and academy HR
- Assisting with end-to-end employee lifecycle and payroll processes
- Preparing HR documents and create and maintain templates
- Producing management information reports
- Evaluating job descriptions and providing advice and guidance on salary bandings to ensure a consistent and fair approach
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience providing generalist HR advice on terms & conditions, application of policies and first line employee relations
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law & current HR practice

1. Internal communications (~2.5 days per week)
As our Internal Communications and Events Lead, you will play a key role in engaging, informing, and inspiring our team with what’s happening at Unifrog. You’ll also help us to work even better together, and to retain a happy and effective team.
Your main responsibilities:

Coordinate our whole team commss

Deliver our internal comms strategy, work towards our People team goal and objectives, and use our House Style.

Create our monthly internal Unifrog newsletter, writing your own segments, editing other people’s contributions, and evaluating engagement.

Collate data from team surveys and work with the People and Leadership teams to put ideas from the team into action.

Improve the way that we communicate and work together:

Share best practice and deliver training on our comms tools (e.g. Slack, Gmail, Asana).

Research, trial and introduce new comms tools or upgrades where appropriate, training the team on how to use them.

Join our AI working group, whose goal is to support the team to use AI more effectively (e.g. leading training, sharing use-cases from across Unifrog).

Support teams with communication challenges (e.g. streamlining comms traffic).

Support team members to easily find the best contact for different questions and tasks.

Manage our existing comms tools:

Audit our usage and budget to make sure we’re maximising value.

2. Internal events (~2.5 days per week)
Now that Unifrog has 115 team members across the UK and beyond, it’s more important than ever that everyone feels connected, both to each other and to our wider mission.
We currently have:

Your main responsibilities:

Plan our whole company team days:

Work closely with our CEO and the Leadership team to decide on the team day agenda, budget and format.

Find and book venues, hotels, social activities, and meals, and make sure everything’s set up and runs smoothly on the day.

Support senior managers to plan their away days:

Advise on agendas and book venues, socials, and training.

Facilitate cross-team collaboration (one of each team’s away days is partly combined with another team).

Evaluate our team events and continually look to improve their quality, impact, and inclusivity.

Plan remote socials and office socials for our London HQ.

Support our Unifrog affinity groups - spaces where team members who share common identities (e.g. being parents), can connect, support each other and champion inclusivity.

Keep our EDI calendar up-to-date, and mark and celebrate occasions important to people across the team, including cultural heritage months, awareness days, and commemorative events.
Working together
You’ll be part of our People team alongside our: People Assistant, People Coordinator Recruitment Lead, People Lead, Head of People Operations, and People and Operations Director (your line manager).
You’ll also regularly work with a variety of other team members (especially line managers) when organising events.

Split your time between working remotely and at our office in Hoxton, London (a minimum of 2 days per week). Applicants must be commutable to London and can expense up to £12.50 per day for travel, up to 2 days per week.

A little bit about the role

The Academic Registry team, one of the sub-teams within programme management, is responsible for ensuring that participants’ academic programme journeys are well-administered. The team are responsible for areas such as academic policies and processes (including for assessment and student records), along with several other operational aspects of Frontline’s academic provision, from attending and preparing data for examination boards or exceptional circumstances panels, to liaising with external markers.
The Academic Programmes Administrator will work to contribute to a first-class participant experience on the Approach Social Work programme. The post holder will be required to be flexible and adaptable in response to diverse requirements in the wider team through the academic year. A high standard of customer service is expected throughout, including at peak periods.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Act as first point of contact for queries from various stakeholders, working closely with regional delivery teams to ensure that applicants, participants and Fellows (our programme alumni) are fully supported with the information they need
- Service online and in-person meetings as required, including scheduling, circulating papers, coordinating breakout sessions and writing minutes.
- Provide support to the academic registrar for all registry functions, including the recording of assessment outcomes and preparation for exam boards
- Maintain accurate participant records, ensuring that all data is maintained and shared appropriately and in line with legal and regulatory requirements

Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces.

Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg Hubspot and Airtable

Barnardo's is seeking an empathetic and child led individual who can work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment using their strong organisational, communication and time management skills, to support children in the secure estate.
This part-time position (Children's Rights and Advocacy Worker – Project Worker 2) is based within HMP Parc Young Person's Unit, which accommodates children aged between 15-18 years, who are in custody, either sentenced or on remand. Barnardo's refers to Young Offender Institutions (YOI's) and Secure Training Centres (STC's) as the Secure Estate (please note, the location of some secure establishments may mean they are not easily accessed by public transport).
Barnardo's is commissioned by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to provide an Independent Children's Rights and Advocacy (ICRAS) Service to children accommodated in a secure setting. The service is known to children as Barnardo's: Your Rights, Your Voice, and currently works within four Young Offender Institutes, one Secure Training Centre and oneSecure Children's home. The ICRAS service is child led and independent of the secure estate; our service is delivered within Parc YOI to ensure children can freely access support for a range of issues linked to their needs, rights & experiences of custody, resettlement, and safeguarding. As such this is a child-facing service, and at times involves lone working in the establishments, so we are seeking someone who can see the child, not the offence.

The position (Children's Rights and Advocacy Worker – Project Worker 2) is line managed by a Team Manager, reporting to an off-site manager. The post holder will need to be able to work autonomously, working to the requirements of the contract and the regime of the YOI. The secure estate is a highly structured environment; as a Barnardo's service we deliver independent advocacy and support for a range of issues, whilst still having to follow and adhere to this structure.
This role includes lone working in this challenging prison environment. It is, therefore, critical that the successful candidate can follow guidance and policy and is able to take proactive and individual responsibility to understand and access the service support mechanisms. This role requires the worker to be onsite for their contracted hours, working remotely only for occasional training or meetings. The advocacy team work on a rota system with set hours each week, which includes weekends and bank holidays. Applicants should also be aware, that due to the nature of working within secure estate, the vetting and induction process can take several months to complete.

38% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children.
This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.
You will conduct initial baseline assessments and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Schools Development Officer to lead and grow outreach with schools across Barnet. The organisation was awarded “Charity of the Year” for 2025 by The Barnet Group and are one of The Mayor of Barnet’s chosen charities during his term.
Position: Schools Development Officer
Salary: £29,500 – £31,500 pro rata (based on experience)
Location: Burnt Oak. HA8 0DT
Hours: 20 hours per week (fixed rota)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the organisation’s most important and fast-growing programmes – their schools outreach. You’ll design and deliver creative, engaging sessions in line with school priorities, and build strong relationships across Barnet’s education community.
From leading on curriculum-linked workshops to managing the Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards, your work will directly contribute to raising aspirations and increasing youth participation across services. You’ll be supported by a dedicated team and play a vital role in delivering on the mission to increase young people’s access to opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and delivering programmes in line with school priorities
- Promoting the programme to schools and encouraging participation
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with teachers and school leaders
- Tracking impact and gathering feedback to continuously improve
- Supporting sessional staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality activities
- Managing the Jack Petchey Awards programme
- Championing inclusive practice and youth voice in everything we do
About You
You’ll bring a strong commitment to young people, creative energy and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. You’ll be an excellent communicator who can build trust and enthusiasm in schools and across the wider youth sector.
You will have:
- Experience delivering face-to-face youth or education programmes
- Experience working with children and young people facing social or emotional barriers
- Strong understanding of issues affecting young people today
- Confidence managing groups and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- The ability to design and deliver engaging, impactful learning
- A flexible and positive attitude, with a willingness to work evenings or weekends when needed

Our client is an independent charity and purpose-built youth centre for Barnet’s young people aged 8 to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs.
