The role of a Therapeutic Community Caseworker at the Baobab Centre is to support unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee adolescents and young adults to access care, basic rights and entitlements and to support their social development and rehabilitation.This role involves working closely with the clinical key worker of each young person and with our wider multidisciplinary team. As a Caseworker you will aim to empower individuals to build stable, independent lives in the UK, including by supporting them to communicate their views, needs and experiences in decision-making processes, and supporting them to make challenges when necessary. Role description

Terms of Reference
The post is offered on a full time basis, on a permanent contract with a six-month probationary period. The salary will be £28,500.
At the PSHE Association, we believe in a healthy work-life balance. That is why we offer a nine-day fortnight working pattern, giving our team every other Friday off (in other words a long weekend twice a month). We believe this gives employees more time to recharge and more time for what matters to them. This shorter working week benefit (equivalent to 32 hours per week on full pay) kicks in once employees have successfully completed three months of their probationary period, with a standard 35-hour working week in place up until that point.
Our offices are based in central London, close to Russell Square, and this is where the role will be primarily based alongside some days of the week working from home.

About the role:
The NEST service provides trauma informed, community-based support to young women and girls aged 14-25 at risk of entering or becoming entrenched in the Criminal Justice System. The role of the NEST Advocate is to provide dedicated one-to-one support to young women and girls, building trusted relationships and coordinating practical support to build their confidence and help stabilise their lives across areas including education, housing, health, employment and interaction with justice services.
As a YWG Senior Advocate you will be responsible for managing a small caseload of young women and girls, while also supervising two YWG Advocates, providing formal and informal supervision and support. This will include oversight of safeguarding for the girls and young women they work with and supporting the quality control of the service, including regular dip-checks and data input.

You should have experience in working with volunteers, understanding how to support and develop their skills. Previous delivery of training is essential, and if that experience has been gained in a peer-support or recovery setting, all the better. This role requires emotional intelligence; you’ll be working with people who have faced adversity, and your ability to support them within clear, professional boundaries is critical. Giving and receiving feedback, gathering data and other evidence to inform service development, and exercising reflective practice are all essential attributes.
You’ll also contribute to key projects that move SMART Recovery forward, adding your voice and insight to help shape what comes next. The role therefore requires project mangement skills as you will work on specific projects that develop our publications, training, communications and marketing. If you have a special interest and expertise in certain areas of our business such as social media and campaigns, training, volunteer management or copywriting we can develop this skill and interest as an enhancement to your role. About the Project
Herts Mind Network (HMN) has a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver a one-to-one outreach service for people who are in hospitals across Hertfordshire.
There is an emergency department arm of the project and will be based at Watford General Hospital working in A&E departments, with the Mental Health Liaison Team, and hospital wards facilitating hospital discharge for people with mental health need.

The Bounce Back Worker will be based at Watford General Hospital and HMN Centres, promoting joint working between Watford A&E, creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.
The aims of the Bounce Back service are to provide up to 16 sessions of emotional and practical support and advice & information to patients. We will visit patients on the ward and continue the sessions in the local community and in patient’s homes once discharged. We will facilitate a smooth and timely hospital discharge.

The Bounce Back worker will use a recovery orientated approach working with patients on the ward, and in the local community, including in people’s homes. As part of the Dal I Godi service, you will provide specialist, trauma-informed support and advocacy to victims of domestic abuse who have been assessed as being at high risk of serious harm. Working alongside each individual from the point of crisis, you will assess risk, develop personalised safety plans and help them understand and access the options available to protect themselves and their children.
You will manage a varied caseload and work closely with partner agencies, including the police, housing providers, social services, health professionals and the criminal and civil justice systems. You will also represent and advocate for victims through processes such as MARAC, ensuring their voice, choices and safety remain central throughout.
We are looking for someone with at least two years’ experience of providing high-level domestic abuse support, strong risk assessment and crisis-management skills, and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach. You should hold a recognised IDVA qualification or be willing to work towards one. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
