The role of a Team Leader will provide support, advice and guidance to a team of recovery workers, whilst having responsibility for the daily running of a community hub.
Your new role
- Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow the companies and external policies applicable to their roles.
- Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control and opportunities that assist service users reaching their full potential as individuals and community members.
- Ensuring the clients values are at the heart of everything we all do, through values based decision making and leadership, creating values based culture.
- Manage the rota of staff, working with other managers to ensure all elements of the service are covered appropriately. Participate in management on-call duty/rota.
- Ensuring quality of service delivery through data analysis and engaging staff in service quality improvement planning. Where necessary, create team and individual performance plans to improve quality and performance.
- Work with your team and Designated Safeguarding Lead (if not your role) to ensure that the practices within the team/service enable identification of service users, children and families who are at risk. Ensure that staff are competent in the delivery of interventions that reduce risk to service users.

The organisation
Morgan Hunt are working with a reputable Housing Association based in the North West who hold both general need stock and specialist supported housing services for a range of vulnerable client groups. Our client is looking to recruit an Outreach Worker on a long - term temporary basis, with the view of a permanent post being off to the right candidate.
The post
As an Outreach Worker, you will work 35 hours per week 9am - 5pm with 1 weekend in 5. The service covers the whole of Salford and requires access to a vehicle for work.
The service
The service covers the Salford area and focuses on using an asset - based approach to enable vulnerable clients to live independently in accommodation suitable to their needs and maintain their tenancy. Clients are supported to build on existing skills that will support access to work, training, education, or community-based activities as well as promoting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and engaging in meaningful activities.
The role
- Use techniques such as coaching and strengths-based approaches to enable clients to develop emotional resilience, overcome barriers and take control of their lives.
- Take a lead on liaising with external agencies, raising any safeguarding issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Complete the Positive Behaviour plan, Support plan, Essential profile, and Risk assessment for all customers.
- Respond to crisis or emerging need practically and emotionally, maintain records to design and inform future long - term support planning.
- Use appropriate theories to develop and inform practice for those with substance misuse issues and complex needs.
- Support the project manager to ensure that all aspects of client's support needs, risks and management plans are carried out and all goals are being achieved.
- Support and deliver independent and group programmes to develop and maintain independence, including peer support and community drop-in.
- Ensure all client files, support logs and any other client focused administration is correctly recorded and kept up to date as per the scheme support procedures.
- React promptly to changing support needs of clients, reviewing plans and assessments, in conjunction with other team members update or refer to relevant support agencies, i.e. adult social care, mental health services and benefit agencies.
- Support to develop functional living skills including maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment, support to budget and attending all relevant appointments. This includes signposting to statutory and other agencies where additional needs are identified.
The candidate
- Experience of supporting vulnerable clients within a Floating Support / Outreach / Resettlement service.
- Experience of responding to changing needs of customers to ensure tenancies are sustained within the community.
- Experience of working with external agencies and signposting to relevant services.
- The ability to work independently and manage an allocated caseload.
- Experience of using a strength / asset-based approach to support customers to live independently in the community.
An an Outreach Worker, access to a car is essential along with an Enhanced DBS dated in the last 12 months or registered on the update service.

An exciting opportunity to help develop the Nottingham City Drug and Alcohol treatment pathway. NRN is creating a service to prioritise the substance misuse treatment needs of rough sleepers in Nottingham City. The service will be a dynamic team of professionals delivering an intensive outreach provision to rough sleepers and those at greatest risk of becoming rough sleepers.
The post holder will:
- be part of a team that provides high quality substance misuse interventions to complex severe multiple disadvantage individuals. Offering an exclusive pathway into treatment for people are sleeping rough, or at risk of rough sleeping.
- be committed to addressing the challenges faced by rough sleepers, maximising the potential for rough sleepers to remain engaged in substance misuse treatment.

Reset Outreach and Referral Service
This role sits within the Reset Outreach & Referral Service, which is based at and delivered by Providence Row. The service is commissioned by Tower Hamlets Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) to work seamlessly with Reset Treatment and Recovery Support Services in providing residents of Tower Hamlets with the drug and alcohol support they need.
The role of the Inreach & Community worker, involves building relationships with marginalised and hard to reach communities in Tower Hamlets. You will identify points of interest where people who might have problematic relationships with various drugs or alcohol can be found and where ongoing relationships can be built. This service is a vital first point of access to support and engage potential service users to address their needs.
The ideal candidate
Passionate about providing quality support to some of the most vulnerable and excluded people in East London, you have the drive and track record to make positive lasting changes in people’s lives. You have considerable experience of substance misuse working in a fast paced environment dealing with the resulting client needs. About the role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and committed individual, to come and join us in shaping and developing our High Intense Support services. As a Case/Support Worker, you will be working to support clients with complex needs, in a residential setting in central Bournemouth, which is staffed 24 hours.
What we’re looking for
The service provides accommodation and support to male and female clients; working with the clients in a recovery focused way to support them into independent living. The service works collaboratively with clients, supporting them in a safe and supportive environment in developing goals, plans and strategies to better manage their mental health, substance misuse and any associated risks.
In this role you will be involved in undertaking key working activities, taking referrals, conducting assessments, inducting clients into the service, supporting clients to access the community and promoting client involvement. You will also have a specific remit of promoting good health amongst those who use the service. Other duties include day to day housing management and health & safety tasks.
To succeed, you will have an understanding of the needs and support requirements of people with complex needs. You’ll also have the ability to establish an effective working relationship with these clients, be client centred and possess the skills to carry out comprehensive assessment and action plans.
You will be working a shift rota that includes evenings, weekends, Bank holidays and sleep ins.

We are recruiting for a Safer Streets Team in order to reduce rough sleeping and other forms of street activity in the Borough of Camden through assertive outreach, needs assessment, case management, access to emergency accommodation, advice, treatment and assistance. To work as part of a multi agency partnership to address community safety issues and reduce the fear of crime.
Your new role
- To engage with a range of individuals who have adopted a 'street lifestyle' including rough sleepers, beggars, sex workers and street drinkers with a view to engaging them in appropriate services and moving then into more settled lifestyles.
- To participate in a pattern of shift work to enable maximum potential contact with individuals.
- To participate in multi-agency initiatives including tasking and targeting meetings and shared working to reduce the level of street activity and its associated impact e.g. the fear of crime.
- To identify and target entrenched rough sleepers, including those unwilling to engage in services.
- To work with rough sleepers to move off the streets and into appropriate accommodation, through action and support plans.
- To work with rough sleepers to assist in a return to their own area/home.
- To hold an active caseload including support plans for targeted individuals that specifies targets and timeframes for action.
- To ensure a case management approach is applied for all clients through and including one to one key working sessions.

Emmaus is a homelessness charity with a difference, we offer a home, meaningful work and a sense of belonging.The role will involve providing support to Companions (residents) using a person-centred approach, both emotionally and practically.
For many people who have experienced homelessness, losing their self-esteem can be the most damaging part of their experience. We encourage Companions to take part in solidarity, acts of kindness to others, by working to help someone less fortunate than themselves. It is a key part of the Emmaus ethos and provides an opportunity to connect with the local community. It can be valuable in rebuilding Companion’s self-esteem and self-worth, proving that everyone has the capacity to make a difference to the lives of others.
Sussex Emmaus is a 57bed supported accommodation project. We offer low to medium support for those who have experienced or may be at risk of experiencing homelessness. Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness, providing a home for as long as someone needs it. Emmaus works with people who may have faced multiple disadvantages. This can include but is not exclusive to: homelessness; mental health issues; contact with the criminal justice system; historical substance and/or alcohol misuse; and domestic abuse.
The role will involve using a Strength Based Practice model to encourage Companions to become resilient and fulfilled. Assist Companions to become independent and maximise their skills, where necessary accessing outside support and services. Where appropriate, in accordance with Companion requests, provide a move-on pathway that enables them to be ready to live independently.
Develop and maintain positive partnerships with other agencies locally to enhance the support available to Companions. Act as an advocate and accompany Companions to formal meetings and appointments.
As part of a team, support the Community Manager in the referral and admissions procedures including conducting risk and needs assessments. To ensure that all Companion records and information is maintained in compliance with policies, procedures and the data protection act. Ensure that all Companion Risk and Needs Assessments are thoroughly and accurately completed to ensure their safety and the safety of others, where necessary liaising with external services and agencies delivering support.
Promote and embed a proactive approach to equality and diversity, by example and approach, with a commitment to treat all staff, volunteers, visitors and Companions equally and with respect.
To be part of the on-call rota providing out of hours provision to the service, where necessary attending on site to resolve critical accidents or incidents.

HARP is Southend-on-Sea’s leading homelessness charity. On average, we help around 1,000 local people every year to overcome or avoid homelessness. In addition to providing essential short-term emergency shelter, food, clothing and washing facilities, we work to identify the root causes of homelessness, creating tailored support for each person’s circumstances. We achieve success by providing structure, purpose and training opportunities, and by providing longer-term supported housing, empowering people to take steps to leave homelessness behind and ultimately to live independently in the community.
As a charitable registered provider of short-term social housing operating in Southend-on-Sea, we believe everyone should have a home of their own. At times individuals may require support from HARP and other agencies to maintain a tenancy and avoid a return to homelessness.
We currently manage 226-bed spaces in our emergency and short-term accommodation, employ over 90 full and part-time staff, and are supported by a number of volunteers.
