About the role:
As a Christian Union Staff Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting, encouraging, and equipping students in Christian Unions (CUs) to share the gospel in their universities.
In this role, you will:
- Train and support CU leaders in evangelism, helping them to share the gospel effectively
- Work alongside CU members to reach their friends and peers with the good news of Jesus
- Support students in understanding the Bible and applying it to their lives
- Organise and facilitate training events in evangelism, leadership, and discipleship
- Build relationships with local churches, student workers, and other organisations

To equip Christian Union Staff Worker's for this strategic ministry, staff follow a training curriculum covering theology, biblical studies, mission, apologetics, church history, and ministry skills. They receive ongoing support from a Team Leader and regional team, meeting regularly for study, prayer, and fellowship.

About the role:
Respect is seeking two Helplines Team Leaders. You will be the main point of contact for the team of Advisors and provide line management support along with other focused meetings that guide their work with service users.
You will manage concerns raised by Advisors and make decisions on safety actions, and deal with complaints. You will oversee the implementation of a rota system that maximises resource capacity at peak call times to meet high demands. Work collaboratively with partner agencies that deliver programmes of support for both male victims and perpetrators, and set up signposting and referral processes that supports our work.

- At least two years’ experience of working on complex cases in a multi-agency environment and working with other professionals/agency to manage risk and safeguard vulnerable adults and children
- An understanding of the root causes of domestic abuse, both individually and societal, and its effects on victims, in particular male victims

The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions.

The Scientific Writing and Publishing Lead will play a key role in supporting researchers in the Global South to communicate their findings effectively and contribute to the global SRM conversation. Working within the Programmes team, reporting to the Programmes Director, and in cooperation with the Communications team, the Scientific Writer will collaborate closely with research teams and external partners. 1. Support researchers with scientific writing and publishing

- Act as a writer for key sections of the report, synthesising insights from researchers into a compelling and scientifically rigorous narrative.
- Work closely with stakeholders and coordinate peer review and fact-checking to ensure the report’s accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
3. Support Degrees’ scientific communication and outreach
- Collaborate with the communications team to ensure that external materials such as blog posts, website content, policy briefs and media articles are scientifically accurate and up to date.
- Work with the policy engagement teams to develop scientific summaries and briefings for a range of stakeholders.

You will be joining an experienced team of Dementia Advisers across the Coventry area, using a person-centred approach to provide expert local guidance, information and advice to people living with Dementia and their family/carers. GamCare is looking for dedicated Night Shift Helpline Advisers to provide essential support to those affected by gambling-related harm.
GamCare offers helpline support through multiple channels, including our Freephone Helpline, Live Chat, WhatsApp, and other digital platforms such as forums and chatrooms. The Helpline operates 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring support is always available.
As the first point of contact, you will offer help, advice, and emotional support to individuals struggling with their own or someone else’s gambling. You will work exclusively on night shifts as part of our award-winning Helpline team (Helpline of the Year), following a two-week rotating schedule with shifts running from 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM.
The working hours are 28 hours per week (average). Hours are between 10.30pm and 7.30am.
In return, we will provide you with comprehensive training, regular supervision, and a full CPD programme to support your development.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will hold a professional qualification in Health, Social Care, Psychology, Youth or Community Care, such as NVQ Level 3 or above, or a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies, Advice, and Guidance. Alternatively, you will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable individuals affected by addiction harm and/or complex needs.
