About the Opportunity
We are looking for an inspiring and strategic leader to join our People Directorate Leadership team as the Head of Involvement at Alzheimer’s Society. About Us
Safer Waves was set up in 2019 to provide support to merchant seafarers who have experienced sexual assault, sexual harassment or gender discrimination on board.
Safer Waves provides an anonymous email support service, run by volunteers who are trained in responding to disclosures of sexual violence, and who understand the specific challenges experienced when these events happen onboard a vessel.
We work with shipping companies, industry leaders, law enforcement and maritime training providers to raise awareness of sexual violence within the maritime industry, and to improve the support that is available to seafarers who experience it.

For the first 5 years, Safer Waves has been a volunteer-led organisation. We are now in the exciting position of being able to recruit a CEO, and we are looking for an individual who has the passion to see this new organisation thrive in the maritime welfare sector.
As the head of a small and rapidly developing organisation, the CEO role will be extremely varied, with the opportunity to shape the organisational structure as needed. The School Coordinator will have a target to recruit schools to the programme and coordinate the planned distribution of resources and supporting materials. At United for Global Mental Health, we work with trusted partners to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and increase support for mental health worldwide.

What will I be doing?
This role will support the delivery of several activities within our portfolio of activities on climate change, the environment, and mental health. The four main areas of work that the Senior Officer will be responsible for include:

Leading work with national partners (50% of post)

Integration of people with lived experience (hereafter referred to as PWLE) across the portfolio (25% of post)

Developing our advocacy on the intersection of air pollution and mental health (15% of post)

Developing our advocacy on the intersection of biodiversity loss and mental health (10% of post)
National level work (50% of post)
A key component of the current project will be to support national partners in a subset of countries globally (approximately 6 countries) to advocate for action on climate change and mental health. The final set of countries is yet to be defined but will likely include one country per WHO region and one country from the Small Islands Developing States. The specific responsibilities of this component will include:

Lead in the selection of national partners in each country. This will include supporting the running of a competitive process to select one civil-society organisation based in each country to conduct the work

Strengthen the capacity of national partners to work on climate change and mental health (e.g., via training to national partners to be delivered by the Senior Officer), if required

Support national partners in advocating for the integration of mental health into climate policies, including but not limited to Nationally Determined Contributions, National Adaptation Plans, Heat Health Action Plans etc.

Lead in cohort-building activities for this subset of countries (e.g., organising regular meetings, ensuring shared learnings etc.)

The meaningful engagement of PWLE of mental health challenges is central to all work at United for Global Mental Health. The specific responsibilities of this component will include:

Leading on setting up and coordinating a Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG), which will meet every two months to provide guidance to UnitedGMH and national partners on their work on climate and health. The Senior Officer will be responsible for recruiting approximately 12 PWLE (2 x WHO region), organising regular meetings, and ensuring that the feedback of PWLE is integrated across different projects

Support the attendance of PWLE to key global advocacy moments in a meaningful, safe, and impactful way

Support national partners on the integration of lived experience considerations in their work on climate change and mental health
Work on air pollution and mental health (15% of post)
The evidence on air pollution and mental health is a nascent, but rapidly growing, area of interest. The specific responsibilities of this component will include:

Scope what concrete opportunities exist for integrating mental health considerations into air pollution policies at the global, regional, and national levels

Job Purpose:
We are entering an exciting phase for the #iwill Movement, with the #iwill Fund looking to invest in a first wave of Towns and Cities of youth social action. To support this, the Department of Culture Media and Sport are making a direct investment in the #will Movement to support the mobilization of Towns and Cities, and we now require three new Place Partnership Managers in the #iWill Movement to work alongside local stakeholders to support their mobilisation of their Town or City of social action.
This role will have a specific focus in identified towns/cities/places in England, working with young people and partners to create conditions for youth led place-based change, as part of the #iWill Movement’s Town and Cities of social action agenda.
The role will take the best practice from existing work in Ipswich, Manchester and Blackpool to create guiding principles for establishing local governance and partnerships that can support a Town or City of Youth Social action to be created.
The role will liaise with local stakeholders to support their funding bid to the #iwill Fund, ensuring young people are in the lead and sponsoring applications. The role will support and influence organisations in agreed Towns and Cities to sign the Power of Youth Charter and make strategic commitments to support young people through the #iwill Movement.
The role will also support local places to construct movement building and income generation plans to ensure ongoing investment from local stakeholders beyond the period of funding award.
This role requires someone rooted in the practice of community based and youth led change, with experience in facilitation and the ability to manage complex partnerships and influence a variety of stakeholders, including through income generation activities.

Finance Manager
Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

ROLE OVERVIEW
AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for a full time Finance and Resources Manager to join our team.
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
To work with the Board, CEO and Deputy CEO to ensure efficient and effective financial management, including setting and monitoring budgets, producing financial reports, and overseeing day to day financial management, including payroll and bookkeeping via Quickbooks, and providing advice and guidance, to inform the development and delivery of AAFDA’s strategy and business plan.
To work with the CEO and Deputy CEO to ensure that AAFDA meets its funder obligations, including reporting on time, gathering data from across the team and compiling reports for CEO/Deputy CEO sign off.
To work with Trustees and staff to ensure AAFDA fulfils its legal and regulatory requirements, including; coordinating the implementation of health and safety, GDPR and other policies and procedures; leading on human resources support; and overseeing office management and IT. Note that specialist HR advice and support and IT are provided to AAFDA by external contractors.
The role provides and manages the HR, administration and finance activities of the Charity and sits within the Senior Leadership Team.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
· Ensuring the day-to-day financial and accounting operations (Quickbooks) are delivered and maintained.
· Administering and managing Payroll, expenses, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, managing the bank including reconciliations and other financial management.
· Managing AAFDA’s budget planning, monitoring and review and year-end accounts processes.
· Meeting AAFDA’s funder reporting deadlines, including oversight of the compilation of information for the funder and the provision of financial reports.
· Supporting the development of AAFDA’s strategy and business plan including providing financial projections and conducting risk analysis as and when required.
· Ensuring effective day-to-day management of book-keeping and financial administration.
· Ensuring financial, payroll and data protection policies and procedures comply with relevant legislation/regulations, reflect best practice and are applied throughout AAFDA, reporting non-compliance to the CEO and/or Deputy CEO.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance:
· In conjunction with the Leadership team, undertake regular finance operational duties including;
- Preparation and setting of a three-year outline budget to accompany AAFDA’s three-year strategy.
- Preparation and setting of the annual budget.
- quarterly reviews – including cashflow and operational re-forecasts.
- Monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
· Prepare quarterly finance reports for the Board, including variance analysis, re-forecasts and ad-hoc reports, as necessary.
· Assist the third-party accountant with the preparation of year-end accounts.
· Manage and operate the internal finance and accounting systems and databases.
· Oversee delivery of payroll, through the use of third-party providers software and using the staff time management recording system.
· Manage all staff expense systems and ensure compliance with relevant AAFDA policies.
· Manage and operate a purchasing system and ensure appropriate levels of pre-expenditure financial authorisation are in place and followed and that suppliers are paid on a timely basis.
· Ensure that all receivables are billed and collected on a timely basis.
· Be the main contact with and management of, the day-to-day operations of the Charity’s banking arrangements, seeking secondary authorisations where required.
· Ensure compliance with HMRC, including monitoring VAT threshold, tax and gift aid, and undertake necessary returns where necessary.
· Commission specialist VAT and other financial advice as required and in conjunction with the Board and CEO/DCEO.
· Support and advise the Trustees, CEO, Deputy CEO and other Leadership Team colleagues with financial forecasting/planning, and allocation and funding of staff and other resources.
· Support Fundraising staff with preparing and managing grant applications and project budgets with the aim of ensuring a minimum of full-cost recovery and provide financial implementation data to enable the Charity to comply with any grant reporting obligations, including by creating and maintaining records of costs by grant received.
Effective Organisational Administration
· Oversee policy and procedure development and implementation, including safeguarding, data protection, Health and Safety, complaints, etc, in conjunction with other Leadership Team members.
· Conduct horizon scanning and recommend opportunities to revise policies and procedures to ensure legal/regulatory compliance and/or in line with best practice.
· Review, improve and ensure implementation of project management processes.
· Ensure appropriate equipment and infrastructure resources are in place for staff, volunteers and Trustees.
· Ensure insurance is in place for all activity and potential organisational risks.
· Continually improve and manage operational costs and budget.
· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure optimal use of the AAFDA customer relationship, case management, time recording, expense management and other operational systems.
Other
· To work with the Trustees, CEO/DCEO and staff to develop and implement the strategy and business plan.
· Provide support for effective governance.
· Take part in Leadership Team meetings.

Experience

As the national body for youth work, the NYA has a dual function. We are the professional statutory and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards, and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. About the Role
This role is situated within the NYA Academy with a focus on providing the very best youth work learning and development experiences across our NYA activities and programs for clients and young people. You will also hold cohort(s) of learners and be responsible for providing a positive learning experience.

About the role
This new role will join our corporate partnerships team to build on our success of working with UK headquartered companies to raise vital funds to support our vision of a decent home for all. The role will focus exclusively on new partnerships and with scope to define what sectors are prioritised within the first year of post such as construction, logistics, transport, or manufacturing.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Identifying and engaging with prospective corporate partners, developing, and nurturing relationships to secure new partnerships
- Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential corporate supporters, leveraging your existing network, and researching new leads
- Creating compelling and tailored proposals, showcasing the value of partnerships and the positive impact they can have on our mission.
- Collaborating effectively with internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to drive successful partnerships.
- Providing regular updates on new business activities, pipeline progress, and partnership outcomes
- Representing at relevant events and conferences, expanding our reach within the corporate sector
The role will help to develop and increase income for Habitat GB from corporate partners. - Experience of building income generation led relationships with prospective partners/clients by identifying and promoting key priorities, benefits and synergies which will resonate, inspire, and lead to powerful early connections.
- Experience of building compelling cases for support that can be translated into pitches and proposals.
- Experience of pitching and presenting clear, emotive, and compelling content to a wide range of potential audiences, from the reception desk to the boardroom.
- Experience of cultivating partnerships with clients, from initial connection or introduction to secure long term financial commitment
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse global teams, across different time zones.
- Self-motivated and organised, able to work under pressure to deadlines and use own initiative to solve problems and adapt to changes.
- Rudimentary understanding of key corporate fundraising trends and priorities for corporate donors including SDGs, ESG, and employee engagement metrics

A flexible approach

Premier League Stadium Fund Technical Manager
£38,000 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on relevant experience and skills) plus generous benefits
The role will be home-based, but geographically will be required to cover clubs and leagues. Regular travel to clubs’ stadiums will be required, as well as occasional travel to our office at Wembley Stadium in London.
We currently have a vacancy for a qualified construction project manager to join the Premier League Stadium Fund as a Technical Manager to support the Stadium Accreditation Programme and to lead on the technical/construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant projects.
About the Premier League Stadium Fund
The Premier League Stadium Fund, fully funded by the Premier League and administered by the Football Foundation, provides capital grants to improve stadium facilities for players, supporters, and officials. It supports clubs across the football pyramid, including those in the National League System (Steps 1–6), Women’s Football Pyramid (Tiers 1–4), and clubs promoted to the English Football League. The fund covers ground-grading requirements and includes a Club Development Fund to help clubs grow and improve sustainability.

The role
Working as part of a team of Technical Managers, you will support our Stadium Accreditation Programme and will lead on the technical/construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant projects.
You will support the Stadium Accreditation Programme by helping establish new ways of working following the initial assessment of approximately 1,000 stadiums across England and Wales. You will have responsibility for a set of leagues and clubs across the Midlands and the East of England and you will work with them to ensure their compliance while also delivering against the objectives outlined within the new Premier League Stadium Fund Facilities Strategy.
You will be responsible for the scrutiny of the technical/construction aspects of Premier League Stadium Fund grant applications and ensuring the successful completion of new and improved stadium facilities. As part of this process, you will provide professional advice and guidance to applicants to assist with the development of capital projects, within the National League System (NLS) and Women’s Football Pyramid (WFP).
You’ll support clubs in addressing Stadium Accreditation findings, assess their grant applications, and oversee funded projects to ensure construction is completed on time and to plan.
What are we looking for?
You’ll need a construction-related degree or professional qualification (for example RICS, CIOB, RIBA or equivalent), or the equivalent experience in a construction management or technical role. You’ll have expertise in construction processes, and experience of delivering facilities from inception to completion. Experience in sports facility construction is desirable but not essential.
You’ll need excellent people skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and handle challenging situations confidently. Strong organisation, attention to detail, and sound decision-making are essential. You should also be adaptable and open to new technologies to help drive ongoing improvements in the Premier League Stadium Fund and Stadium Accreditation programme.

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
You will start on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer.
