The Direct Marketing Manager (Retention) is responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for  individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the organisation and the public. They will work closely with the Head of Public Fundraising and relevant staff to develop and deliver direct marketing materials to provide updates and information on how donations are being spent. They will work with the Public Fundraising team to utilise a large database of supporters for communication by email, SMS, and direct mail. About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Senior Finance Analyst to join a small team working in our Financial Planning & Analysis unit. The team work together to provide financial support and advice across a wide portfolio of programmes with a variety of funding sources.

As Senior Finance Analyst you will help support the financial management of projects, programmes and donor restricted funds. · Experience of preparing donor bids & reports, knowledge of donor rules and regulations for high-compliance donors would be an advantage.

· Significant experience of providing financial reports & information to non-finance staff & supporting them in the management of budgets.

· Experience of delivering against monthly recurring deadlines.

· Good knowledge of finance applications (preferably Business Central).

The programme aims to address perpetrators behaviour and increase safety for victim/survivors. In doing so, it is essential that the V/S has holistic support to ensure any risks are identified and managed.

This is a pilot project and it is expected that there will be a considerable amount of testing and learning, trailing new ways of working to meet intended outcomes.

About the Role

You will be working closely in partnership with Police forces in Haringey, Waltham Forest, Enfield and Newham, as well as the Hampton Trust, to provide support for victim/survivors engaged in the CARA programme. You will also be supporting Police Officers to discuss eligibility for the programme and conditional cautions. You will be developing and delivering a series of training and learning sessions for the Police. As a new project, you will be developing key partnership relations, to strengthen collaborative working between the Police and Solace.  You will provide light touch support to survivors whose partners are engaged with the CARA program, assess risk and share key updates with Hampton Trust and the Police to ensure safety.,

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.

About Us:

Strength & Learning Through Horses provides mental health and education support to some of London’s most vulnerable young people through offering equine assisted therapy and alternative education programmes. The organisation’s ability to deliver excellence in its service quality is dependent upon a skilled and competent workforce where learning and continuous improvement is a fundamental aim.

Strength & Learning Through Horses has been in operation for over 10 years and has grown year on year in terms of income and number of young people reached and number of services we offer.

We have 5 full time and 5 part time contracted staff members, 18 freelance staff members and work with 17 volunteers. 400 – 500 young people per year benefit from our life changing services; our hope is that this will increase to 700+ per year from 2027 once the building project at our site is complete. We have ambitious longer term plans for growth.

We have been operating in North London for over 10 years from a small stables, after our lease sadly came to an end in January 2023 we moved to our long term home. This was a derelict stables owned by the Council which we have secured via a 25 year lease. In 2022-23 we raised £300,000 to get the site usable as an equine therapy centre although it is still very run down with much of it boarded up an derelict. We now have full planning permission to develop the site and build a purpose built equine therapy centre which will allow us to double the number of young people who access the space.

About the Role:

To make this dream a reality we are looking for an experienced Capital Fundraising Manager to lead the Capital fundraising campaign for this project to raise £700,000 over 2 years in order to fund this build.

The hope is to raise £350,000 in year one in order to fund half of the build (stage 1) with the remaining funding being secured in the 2nd year to complete the build in year 2. We have a strong track record of fundraising including recently securing 5 years core costs funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we have warm relationships that we can call on once this fundraising campaign gets activated.

The ability to proactively manage stakeholders from across SLTH to ensure all are involved and their personal networks are utilised in this campaign.
This will include:

• Working alongside the 2 CEO’s to develop a strategy and to utilise existing contacts and warm leads
• Working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure fundraising materials and pitch decks are high quality
• Engaging staff, volunteers and supporters in the campaign
• Manage fundraising pipeline and presenting a progress updates to the board if required
• Creating a relationship with one of our HNW funders who has connections with other HNW individuals and corporations
• The Equestrian Management Agency (who support us as their partner charity and are invested in making this fundraising campaign a success)

Job purpose

This role sits in our Direct fundraising Team within the Individual Giving department. The key purpose of the job is to:

•  Support the Associate Head and Senior Fundraisers to continue to grow and develop face-to-face direct recruitment and telephone fundraising activity at the NSPCC.
• To work with Senior Fundraisers and Associate Head within the Direct fundraising team to deliver agreed campaigns in line with business requirements.
• Advocate and reinforce the team’s ethics and values across compliance, safeguarding, supporter experience and best practice fundraising.
• Enhance the supporter experience and protect the NSPCC’s reputation when working with professional fundraising agencies.
• Through mystery shopping, call listening and other activities, ensure all activity, by agency partners and relevant internal teams, is compliant with regulation, codes of practice and NSPCC policies.
• Monitor campaign performance and income, ensuring that campaign KPIs and metrics are reported accurately and consistently.
• Monitor expenditure, including financial processes such as raising POs, checking invoices and reporting against budgeted expenditure figures.

1. With the Associate Head of Direct Fundraising, agree and deliver face-to-face and telephone  direct fundraising activities in line with the Individual Supporters department’s annual business plan and budget to enable the NSPCC to plan its activity and services.
2. Work with the Associate Head to maximise the opportunities by which the fundraising activity can contribute to the NSPCC’s mission of fighting for every childhood over and above fundraising objectives.
3. Be responsible for the development of relationships and delivery of income from potential supporters engaged through face-to-face activity
4. Work with internal NSPCC support teams to set up new agencies and campaigns.
5. Keep up to date on best practice and developments within the charity sector generally and particularly changes to fundraising regulations, compliance and codes of practice relating to direct dialogue fundraising. Updating existing or creating new processes and working with agencies to implement changes in activity.
6. Work with internal compliance teams and external agencies to plan and implement a monitoring schedule in line with the most up to date codes of practice, guidance and regulations.  This should include regular mystery shopping and call listening.
7. To work with the Associate Head to maximise the opportunities by which the fundraising activity of the Direct Fundraising team can contribute to the NSPCC’s mission of ending cruelty to children over and above fundraising objectives.
8. To carry out research through a range of sources, including the Internet, Intranet, publications and other external contacts, including other charities, in order to obtain relevant information that can contribute to the fundraising activities of the Direct fundraising team.
