Your contribution to the team 

Your role as Project MEL and Grants Officer will be critical in achieving the goals of the Projects Team to deliver high-quality support in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), project and grant management to colleagues across the organisation. You will support the Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer to roll-out innovative approaches to how the organisation captures impact, shares success stories and learns from one another. You will support colleagues to understand compliance requirement of grants and to identify, assess and realign projects to ensure delivery against these requirements and project objectives. You will play a vital role to ensure the uptake and usability of our organisational grants and project management platform called PEBI (Project Ecosystem for Business Intelligence).

What you can expect in a typical day

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support project and organisational MEL 50%
• Support colleagues to design log frames, indicators and results framework for projects and how to align them with global indicators;
• Support colleagues to develop, improve and contextualise data collection and reporting tools and methodologies; 
• Participate in project start-up meetings and support colleagues to develop project M&E plans; 
• Plan and conduct internal reviews of key projects to support organisational learning and improvement of future projects; 
• Review data and information gathered either through systems (such as PEBI) or processes (such as Annual Reflection Process, cross-organisational meetings etc) to provide feedback to colleagues and feed into organisational learning; 
• Support the delivery of key learning and impact reporting products such as annual reports, internal review reports, quarterly management/progress reports; 
• Keep up to date with best practices in regards to MEL in order to provide recommendations on how organisational MEL systems and processes can be improved. 
 

Management of project management system (PEBI) 25%

 • Support PEBI champions to motivate their users to regularly update data in the system PEBI, enabling and facilitating the optimal use of the platform;
• Provide initial technical support to champions on issues with the system, in consultation with the Projects Team and escalate as necessary;
• Help to identify ways the system can be continuously improved and fully used;
• Maintain the user guide to PEBI and train new champions or support champions to onboard new users;
• Be the administrative lead for the system maintaining user access within the organisation and liaise with external consultants;
• Coordinate and lead regular meetings with champions across the network to update, discuss issues and best practice and share lessons learned;

Support contract management and project management function 20%

• Provide support to teams with regards to donor or other stakeholders contract management for the implementation of projects; 
• Review and maintain an up-to-date centralised grants filing system; 
• Where necessary, support colleagues to review and amend project documents such as plans and contracts to ensure delivery against project objectives and donor requirements;

Team support 5%
• Ensure the organisation is aware of what the projects team are working on, leading on drafting internal communications and coordinating check-ins with other teams to have a steady flow of information; 
• Undertake other tasks as are appropriate to the nature and scope of the post.

What you will bring to the role

Knowledge and Skills:

Essential
• Full understanding of grant management, project implementation tools and procedures; 
• Project MEL including designing MEL plan, data collection tools and indicators; 
• Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to relate with diverse people from different cultures; 
• Strong organisation, time management, communication and coordination skills;

Job Title: Domestic Abuse Helpline Advisor x5

Helpline Advisors are responsible for providing high-quality, empowering, emotional and practical support, assistance and information to women and those supporting them, who contact the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Stores Officer to join the Procurement team. Your role is to maintain the required stock levels of essential medical and housekeeping equipment to ensure there are no stock outs.

Provision of services include processing deliveries, monitoring stock levels, assisting users with order processing in our order management system, carrying out stock takes as required.

As a part of the Procurement team, the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the team and where appropriate assist in works as and when required to do so.

Role Requirements

• Responsible for working with Procurement & Purchasing Officer to develop a new process for goods in, collaborating with Helpdesk, Logistics and Security to adapt and improve the goods inwards process to further support all departments.
• Responsible for maintaining stock levels in stores, ensuring accurate record keeping is developed and maintained.
• Building a new process with the support of the Procurement Lead in respect of the Shops stock management system for cleaning and stationery materials to make efficiencies
• Ensure stocks are stored and handled appropriately and correctly rotated.
• Maintain accurate records on-line of stock levels and receipting stock orders as required
• Keeping stock records and pricing updated.
• Making deliveries across site as required if Logistics are unavailable

Child’s i Foundation is a small but mighty social impact organisation that started in Uganda and now has a growing global footprint. Purpose of the Role

The Business Development Lead will play a critical role in driving the financial sustainability of Child’s i Foundation. This person will lead efforts to secure new income, grow existing partnerships, and strengthen supporter engagement. Person Specification

Essential

• Proven experience in business development and fundraising (minimum 3 years), ideally in the social impact or NGO sector.

Purpose of the job

Primarily, you’ll own responsibility for our small to medium grant pipeline, so we're looking for someone with a track record of successfully securing five figure funding from Trusts, Foundations, or Corporates. As well as writing high quality, comprehensive and persuasive funding applications, you’ll need to manage reporting and relationship management with the funders you successfully engage with and oversee wider fundraising areas, including playing a key role in our social media and communications, supporting sponsored event and London marathon runners, and playing a key part in planning our annual fundraising events. We see significant potential for growth within the role with the capacity for the right candidate to progress to Senior Fundraising Officer level within the first 12-18 months.

• To prepare and submit compelling funding applications to our existing well established pipeline of small-medium Trusts, Foundations and Corporates.
• To hold responsibility for relationship management with our portfolio of small-medium sized funders (value of c£250,000-£300,000 annually).
• To support the Fundraising Manager and CEO with the preparation of larger and more complex funding bids, showing capacity to progress to leading a proportion of these in time.

Person specification to include:

• Some previous experience in a fundraising role.
• Demonstrable skills in building powerful relationships with Trusts, Foundations, Corporates and individual donors.
• Good experience in creating impactful monitoring reports for funders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write persuasively and engagingly.

Success Club is a London-based growing charity dedicated to supporting children and young people who are at risk of disengaging from education. About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Fundraiser to join our friendly team. We seek someone who feels passionately about our mission, to help us to drive income and ensure Success Club can continue to change lives, by building strong engagement with our donors and fundraisers. You will build on our past successes by managing existing relationships with, and making new grant-applications to Trusts and Foundations. We are a small core team and ideas are welcomed! You will identify new avenues for fundraising, and help us explore a growing portfolio of community support, to ensure the best possible experience for individual supporters and donors.

As Fundraiser, you’ll be the first point of contact for all inbound fundraising enquiries—whether by email, phone or at in-person events. You will nurture relationships with our existing individual and corporate supporters and identify and cultivate prospective donors.

You’ll be proactive and organised, passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experiences, and will have a strong understanding of the charity sector. Familiarity with fundraising databases or CRMs is also a plus.

Our partner seeks a driven and astute grants finance officer to support in the financial management and monitoring of projects being implemented in Asia, Africa and Latin America. This is a newly created position, and will suit someone who is meticulous, has strong attention to detail and able to manage relationships with a number of global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial transactions and entries, prepare and process income receipts and maintain accurate digital records and ensure proper filing of all financial documentation on internal systems.
• Review, verify, and process payments to suppliers and sub-grantees, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and compliant with internal controls.
• Create and close financial grants for codes; monitor and update internal trackers for grant management; track and report balances across active grants and funding streams; and complete grant reconciliations.
• Support in the preparation of donor reports, in the implementation of donor compliance controls, and in the preparation for any donor audits.
• Lead in preparing sub-grantee agreements, and processing of cash requests.

Requirements

• PQ accountant with experience of working in an international organisation working across multiple countries. Strong experience of accounts processing, financial accounting and reporting, and of supporting budgeting and financial management.

We are delighted to be partnered with a large international Charity to support with the recruitment of an Assistant Financial Accountant. The role will be supporting with producing annual accounts for certain entities, as well as advising on VAT and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Prepare the statutory accounts for the Trust to accurately reflect the year end position of the investments
• Act as point of contact for external audit and assist internal and external auditors as required to provide accurate information in a timely manner
• Provide financial support to all stakeholders within the Charity in treasury and tax services across the various entities
• Assist in the provision of a wide range of financial reporting, returns, analysis, and forecasts as required
• Manage banking administration including bank mandates for all banking institutions, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required tasks
• Assist in reviewing and updating the treasury policy annually where necessary to ensure it fully reflects current practice
• Develop and maintain collaborative operational day to day relationships with relevant key stakeholders
• Review rates of return from external sources and assist Financial Accountant and investment committee in its decision making
• Assist with the provision of a short, medium and long term investment model to support the best use of the Charities’ cash reserve
• Assist as required in other ad hoc work and projects undertaken by the team

Ideal candidate profile:

• Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Demonstrable strong experience of working successfully in a similar tax & treasury role in a large and complex organisation
• Strong and up to date knowledge of taxation legislation (especially in relation to VAT)
• Good Excel capability with strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, manipulate, interrogate, and report on complex data to support decision making processes

We are seeking a colleague with learning and development knowledge, graphic design, and content development skills to join the Learning and Development Team at Home-Start UK.

This is an exciting role, which will support the development, and maintenance of a new Knowledge Centre and content for our training and learning activities. You will be creating a wide range of informative resources, that appeal to different learning styles and objectives such as ‘tool kits,’ templates, video, audio, blogs etc as alternative ways of learning to support the work of the Home-Start network.

Working with Subject Matter Experts and colleagues across the organisation, the coordinator will be a point of contact for content creation, learning enquiries, administration, and communications.

The Head of Fundraising and Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving Bowel Research UK's fundraising strategies and audience engagement initiatives.

This position is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, growing the charity’s supporter base and income, building up new and under-developed income streams and communicating effectively with their audiences to expand their reach, and encourage financial and non-financial support to deliver the organisations mission.

You will have the autonomy and scope to drive elements of your work and take ownership of your own objectives. You will be required to collaborate on decisions to shape and deliver initiatives, programmes and processes as required for each area of income delivery. 

Key to the success of this role is a strong understanding of individual giving fundraising – an area that is underdeveloped at Bowel Research UK. This role blends the strategic oversight and leadership of a Head of Fundraising role, with the hands-on expertise of an IG fundraiser.

The successful candidate for this role will be someone who has already operated at a senior level within a charity such as at Senior Manager level, or Head of in a specific income stream. Having a background or significant experience in delivery across individual giving is also vital due to the importance of that income stream to Bowel Research UK – the post holder will be the organisations expert in IG.
