Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.
The shift pattern for this role is as follows: 10pm to 8am for 10 nights every fortnight, including every other weekend. This is a waking night position and sleeping on shift is strictly forbidden.

The Support Coach role involves:
- Supporting volunteer facilitators by coaching them through the opportunities, challenges and obstacles of running a Kids Matter programme
- Training and upskilling facilitators by helping run events and develop new resources
- Working with the wider Kids Matter team to encourage and strengthen Kids Matter’s church partnerships
At Kids Matter, we are committed to delivering effective coaching. All Support Coaches are given the opportunity to go through the coaching accreditation process with ICF to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Kids Matter provides the support and supervision for this to take place, and will cover the cost of the accreditation if the individual remains employed as a Support Coach for the two years following applying for accreditation. If the individual leaves before two years, a percentage of the accreditation cost will be required to pay back.

Our Little Stars project for 0–12 year olds has been established for over 3 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. Tabard Court is a mental health supported accommodation for individual with significant offending histories. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to customers with a range of mental health needs - emotional, social, physical or domestic -, who have had contact with the Criminal Justice System. You will be skilled in engaging both customers and stakeholders and have a good understanding of the needs and diversity of this client group. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a therapeutic environment that at times can be challenging and provide quality evidenced based care and risk management strategies working closely with clinical colleagues. Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

To enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community, by providing flexible and individually tailored support.
What you'll do:
* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support actions and capture outcomes in Support and Risk Management files.
* Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
* Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
* Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community especially the local mental health system to ensure that customers receive the best treatment available
* Lead on an area of specialism (e.g. , health and wellbeing) , build partnerships and develop internal and external opportunities for service-users in this area
* Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
* Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards
* Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team
* Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible

About the role
- Delivering support to people who are experiencing homelessness and are rough sleeping in the borough of Tower Hamlets.
- Conducting person-centred assessments with those who self-present at the service for support
- Agree plans, in conjunction with service users, to move into accommodation and access specialist services which will address the underlying causes of their homelessness.
- To make referrals into Tower Hamlets and Pan-London local authority housing options services, using Homeless Reduction Act
- To work with partner agencies to provide joint support to service users where appropriate
- To build relationships with housing providers and the private rented sector, to increase the portfolio of affordable referral routes into accommodation.
- You will have excellent communication skills and can create positive working relationships with a wide range of people, including external services.

About the role
We’re looking for a social media and community manager to join our digital engagement team.
This is an exciting time to join the charity as it launches its new five-year strategy this autumn to supercharge our efforts to transform the lives of anyone affected by breast cancer.
You’ll lead our organic social media channels, planning content, providing channel expertise and delivering our social media strategy. Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support.
The 5-week rolling rota pattern includes both evening and weekend shifts. The shifts are from 07:00 to 15:00 or from 14:00 to 22:00, with a mix of both types. You will have approximately one full weekend off every five weeks, plus one additional Saturday off and one additional Sunday off, resulting in a total of two full working weekends in every five weeks.
At Look Ahead, co-production is central to our approach. We are committed to collaborating closely with our customers to shape the support they receive. We invited S to develop a job advertisement for their new deputy service manager, and this is what they shared:

I like to be surrounded by people who are very proactive and can be creative and patient when engaging me in tasks and activities - and are confident supporting me in building safe relationships. I enjoy and respond well to positive affirmations and recognition of my progress."
