This one-year fellowship offers a unique springboard for an aspiring barrister or solicitor through its combination of practical legal experience (encompassing commercial, public and criminal litigation) and specialist policy exposure in the fields of economic crime and corruption.
Who we are
Spotlight on Corruption is a UK-based charity, founded in September 2019, that shines a light on the UK’s role in corruption at home and abroad. We want to see a society with strong, transparent and accountable institutions which ensure corruption is not tolerated and democracy flourishes both in the UK and globally.
We track how the UK is implementing its anti-corruption laws and monitor the effectiveness of anti-corruption enforcement in the UK. We build the evidence base for reform through our unique court monitoring programme as well as investigative research and extensive engagement with experts and frontline practitioners. The successes of our legal work include intervening in a major Court of Appeal case to safeguard the UK’s anti-money laundering regime, supporting a challenge to reveal the identity of a major political donor in a dirty money case, and winning the right to publish the jury bundle in a high-profile trial about a corrupt arms deal.
Acting as policy entrepreneurs, we develop innovative and pragmatic solutions and disseminate our work through hard-hitting reports and briefings to inform decision-makers and the general public. We follow through with dogged advocacy, working in a highly collaborative manner to build consensus for reform.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a recent law graduate or early career professional with an outstanding eye for detail, strong analytical and research skills, and demonstrable experience in writing and communicating persuasively.
Working closely with our tight-knit and dynamic team, you will help deliver our unique court monitoring programme by following major cases related to corruption and economic crime that are heard in the UK courts. This work will give you invaluable first-hand exposure to legal proceedings across a range of courts and tribunals in England and Wales – not only high-profile criminal prosecutions and asset recovery proceedings, but also major commercial litigation and other civil claims, as well as judicial review proceedings and regulatory enforcement action.
As the legal fellow, you will benefit from the mentorship of a leading barrister as well as other support when drafting court applications or submissions and scoping potential opportunities for strategic litigation that could advance Spotlight’s advocacy objectives. Working closely with the Deputy Director, you will also engage with other top lawyers who serve on Spotlight’s strategic litigation advisory board. In the course of this work, you will help build our relationships with the legal sector as well as strengthen our relationships with law enforcement agencies, civil servants, journalists, and civil society partners, particularly in the Global South.
Drawing on your close monitoring of court cases and engagement with law enforcement agencies, legal practitioners and other experts, you will contribute evidence-based research, briefings, blogs and commentary on core areas of our work. This will require forensic attention to detail, strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, and a flair for communicating complex issues in a compelling and accessible way.
You will be confident working with complex legal materials and following court proceedings while showing enthusiastic, creative and strategic engagement with the broader policy issues arising from our casework. You will feel comfortable drafting briefings to inform parliamentarians and influence decision-makers as well as contributing blogs and rapid-response social media commentary on key developments to advance Spotlight’s key messages.

- As Programme Coordinator – Event and Project Lead, you’ll oversee the planning and delivery of around 65 events each year, from mock trials and school workshops to teacher training and sector-facing events, ensuring every detail contributes to a high-quality experience for young people, educators, and volunteers. In addition to event delivery, the role also involves leading key projects that support programme development and growth.
- As Programme Coordinator – Schools Engagement Lead, you’ll be the main point of contact for over 480 secondary schools, managing registrations, communications, and support to ensure smooth, engaging participation across our programmes.

This is your opportunity to design and manage the delivery of a new and exciting programme of work for the Ambitions National Partnership for Palliative Care and End of Life Care, working with senior NHS and statutory and voluntary sector partners. You’ll also lead an innovative Marie Curie pilot focusing on working through primary care to improve end of life care in care homes. Your expertise and evidence-led approach will help shape decisions at local, regional, and national levels - creating a more equitable system for those at the end of life.

Job Summary

Role Description
BASIC is seeking a motivated and dynamic Project Manager (Policy Fellow) to lead BASIC’s deliverables within our joint project with the Federation of the American Scientists (FAS): ‘From the Noise, the Signal’.
The project investigates how emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs) pose credible threats and disrupt traditional assumptions regarding relative military advantages and disadvantages. One such assumption is the traditional dominance of hiders over seekers in the military domain which appears to be increasingly challenged by a package of EDTs. These technologies operate across military domains, including: outer space and the upper atmosphere, air, ground, sea surface, undersea, and cyber. Research has, however, not yet fully assessed EDTs collective impacts on hider-seeker dynamics, at a time where technologies are advancing faster than policy.
This joint FAS-BASIC project addresses this gap in both the research literature and policy discourse through collaboration with an interdisciplinary community of scientific, technical, and OSINT experts, to build a higher-resolution picture of the technological readiness according to the open-source.
This high-impact role offers the opportunity to deliver the research and manage the part of the project that covers sea-based dimensions. The second phase will bring the project’s sea- and land-based dimensions together, and assess the overall strategic implications of these technological advances for nuclear stability.
The Project Manager is expected to have a solid understanding of global security, nuclear nuclear issues, and expertise in EDTs and nuclear weapons issues demonstrated through a record of relevant (policy) research. The successful candidate will have experience with convening and leading high level dialogues and experience with project delivery.
The successful candidate will manage and lead the project’s delivery across several outputs, working closely with FAS partners.

Working to safeguard humanity and Earth’s ecosystem from nuclear risks and interconnected security threats

We are looking for someone to lead our home energy retrofit services, instilling a culture of high performance and outstanding results. You will have retrofit experience which will help to build our paid-for whole-house retrofit services, secure funding through publicly funded programmes and identify wider funding opportunities. Working with the Director of Household Energy Services (HES) and as a member of the HES Leadership Team, you will deliver a clear vision and strategic direction for the retrofit team. You will also participate as a member of the wider Senior Management Team (SMT).
Pay and conditions

Who we are
Forest Peoples Programme (FPP) is an international NGO that has been working with indigenous peoples and forest peoples since 1990. We work in 18 countries across South and Central America, Africa, and Southeast Asia, with around 50 partner organisations based in the tropical forest belt.
We work directly and in solidarity with communities and peoples, supporting them to secure their rights to their traditional lands, territories, and resources, protect their forests and ways of life, and choose their own futures.
The role
Consistent with our Theory of Change, Forest Peoples Programme’s advocacy and communications strategies are diverse and decentralized. They are generated in a largely bottom-up way with our partners, via our program staff (organised in country and thematic teams). This allows us to be sensitive to local social, political and legal contexts, and partner priorities. It also guides our highly collaborative approach to communications.
Communications at FPP is as much about facilitating exchanges among partners and between Indigenous peoples and forest peoples, as it is about communicating with policy makers, academics, and a broader public. FPP’s core principle of the right to self-determination means that we strive to ensure that FPP’s own ‘voice’ is consistent with the priorities and aspirations of Indigenous peoples and forest peoples. That we compliment and amplify, but neither diminish nor eclipse, the voices of Indigenous peoples and forest peoples themselves.
FPP’s communications team is embarking on a period of restructuring and reorienting. The goal is to become better placed to support a strategic approach to communications in our programmatic and country-focused work, while retaining a core function of handling FPP’s central/organizational communications needs.
As part of that restructuring, this new post of Senior Media and Communications Officer will serve a dual purpose of providing additional capacity in the day-to-day activities of the department, and taking a leading role in rolling out our restructuring plans. There may be some responsibilities around cultivating media relations, and/or line management responsibilities, depending on the profile of the successful candidate. The role reports directly to the Communications Coordinator, who will be working restricted hours for the first 10 months of this appointment.
FPP works with 52 long-term partners and allies, across 18 countries. The Senior Media and Communications Officer will gain a good working knowledge of the entire landscape, and intimate knowledge of some specific contexts in which FPP teams are focused. Fundamentally of course, we are all accountable to the Indigenous peoples and forest peoples we work with and for.
Initially, the role is likely to have a heavy focus on rolling out the new team structure and strategy, transitioning within a year to focus more on media relations or advocacy-linked strategic communications, depending on the profile of the recruit.
About you
This post would suit an experienced practitioner with a good understanding of communicating in a multilingual, cross-cultural, and highly consultative environment. Additional languages (especially French or Bahasa Indonesia) are a distinct advantage.

- At least 5 years’ experience in communications work in an international, collaborative, and advocacy-focussed environment. This will have ideally been within an indigenous peoples’ organisation, or NGO, advocacy or international context.

- Demonstrable experience of strategic thinking regarding advocacy, communications and media, and in planning and implementing projects in a collaborative way.
- Demonstrable experience of communicating complex advocacy issues and grassroots experiences in compelling, creative ways, to a wide range of audiences across a wide range of media.
- Strong media relations experience, at national and international levels. An existing network of relevant media contacts is a distinct advantage.
- You must be able to manage your own workload, and set your own limits. You will need to have the confidence to say no to colleagues, and the people skills to maintain positive working relationships while you do so. A positive attitude, and an ability to be sensitive, flexible and adaptable to changing contexts and evolving strategies, is vital.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with demonstratable experience of writing copy, editing and publishing for print and digital media. Experience in producing multimedia products (films, animations, graphics, podcasts, websites etc) is also highly desirable.

End Water Poverty Global Coordinator
Contract: 2 Years Fixed Term Contract, Full-time
Location: WaterAid is a global and equal opportunities employer. About End Water Poverty
End Water Poverty (EWP) is a WaterAid hosted Southern-led civil society coalition advocating for the fundamental human right to access water and sanitation. Rooted in local realities and influencing global decision-making, EWP promotes the decolonization of development agendas based on its Southern-led values and principles. By integrating environmental and gender perspectives, the coalition strives to ensure water and sanitation are accessible, affordable, high-quality, and available to everyone—both now and for future generations.
About the role:
The Global Coordinator leads the coalition’s strategic direction, fundraising, and campaign delivery—steering EWP towards a stronger southern-led model, securing funds to expand regranting and advocacy capacity, and ensuring impactful campaigns.
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement EWP’s vision, governance, and strategic priorities.
- Lead strategic and annual planning with regional leads.
- Ensure alignment with southern-led values, decolonisation, and localisation principles.
- Monitor, evaluate, and adjust strategy to maximise impact.
- Represent EWP in external forums and build partnerships.
2. Fundraising
- Identify and secure new funding opportunities.
- Draft proposals, manage grants, and increase resources for regranting.
- Collaborate with fundraising teams, members, and partners.
3. Campaigns & Delivery
- Oversee the Claim Your Water Rights campaign and other initiatives.
- Ensure campaigns have clear objectives, strong delivery structures, and member engagement.
- Guide research to address systemic water and sanitation issues.
- Support advocacy skill-building and share best practices.
4. Governance & Finance
- Ensure effective governance, managing Steering Committee meetings and membership engagement.
- Deliver annual reports and manage budgets per WaterAid procedures.
5. Team Leadership
- Manage and support secretariat staff and consultants.
- Maintain a collaborative, inclusive working environment
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- 10+ years’ experience in the global south, preferably in human rights/water justice.
- Experience leading or working with global coalitions.
- Experience working in or with grassroots organizations
- Proven fundraising and budget management success.
- Experience in international networks, particularly in Africa, Latin America, or Asia.
- Track record of impactful campaigns achieving policy change.
- Strong political judgement from a southern perspective.
- Excellent interpersonal, team management, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; conversational French or Spanish.
Desirable:
- Born and raised in the global south.
- Trilingual (English, French, Spanish).
- Media and spokesperson experience

Are you looking for a flexible role in finance? We’re looking for a Head of Finance to join our team on a part-time basis.
We are recruiting for a qualified accountant with a calm and professional approach to lead on the financial management and governance of Energise Me.
About You
You’ll need to be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW) with experience of working at a senior level.
You’ll have significant financial management and financial administration experience with proven track record of achievement.
You’ll have experience of administrating and managing payroll.
Charity Accounting experience is desirable.
You’ll be an effective and adaptable communicator, from working with our small team on a one-to-one basis, to providing comprehensive guidance and reports to our Board.
The Role
You’ll be part of Energise Me’s senior leadership team, and lead on the financial management and governance of the charity.
- Plan and co-ordinate annual audit and prepare Energise Me’s annual accounts. Manage external auditors and be the main point of contact for Auditors. Ensure accounts are filed with the Charity Commission on time and lead audit tender process at least every three years
- Manage relationships with external financial providers including banking and investment
- Manage outsourced payroll and ensure charity employees are paid accurately and on time
- Manage Energise Me’s financial and accounting functions and related policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and procedures (Charity Commission guidelines, HMRC and financial regulations)
- Make sure budgets are managed effectively and in line with overall target/costs
- Exercise strong financial and budget monitoring including preparing quarterly management accounts including balance sheet and SOFA
- Responsible for Financial IT Systems, ensuring they’re fit for purpose and data is accurate and up to date
- Lead, empower, support, develop, coach and mentor the Finance & IT Manager and other team members as required across the organisation
